[oh the limits of being underage-if i didn't live with my parents, I'd have some.]
Let me hear the words of love... I still live with my mother, and got one anyway. She knew I wanted one, and disapproved, but didn't really stop me. One day I just came home wearing a corset. It's all good.

LOL well thats one way... i'm just making mine, no one seems to care, because they dont think i'll finish them... heheheheh.... but i'm oh so close to finishing this one. just need some decent boning...

it's relatively cheap (.50 for 1ft pieces), although busks are somewhat pricy (less than $20, but still expensive for boning) the white steel boning is AMAZING :]

i wear the silly hot topic ones too. but i have a few real ones my friend dad does reenactments so i have some from the civel war type time period.

After three years of harrasing my mother just out of the blue bought me one. I was very surprised. I also have had her buy one aswell. She loves it! Never wears it but shes madly in love with it.
It's a plastic boned white polyester(i think) over bust and laces all the way down. with pretty embrodered black flowers.
I do wear mine even if I only have two, falling asleep in them is not very comfertable though..

I wear mine occaisionally. I made both of them. I thought it was really easy; I've worked as a professional seamstress though. I have one Civil War reproduction corset and one Renaissance stay. Neither pattern was very good but the Civil War one turned out pretty nice after I figured out that the directions sucked and started lining seams up my own way. They're both undergarments, nothing showy but they are pretty comfortable.

I have a plastic boned corset and a tie-up bodice which I use in plays and pirate renacting. :3
There's a Renaissance fair that comes to my area in autumn, though, and I have the money to buy a really, really nice one. :3

Well i dont. but i think they are interesting. although some websites ive seen about corsets sounded sorta sickish. like one of them had a forum where this one person was complaining about how women getting rights threw the whole country off balance or something and how women simply dont care about their appearance enough anymore. kay im sorry for rambling. In conclusion: i dont wear corsets, but i think they're kool. mrgreen
