i think generals or red alert 2 r the best so far, tiberian sun would top those but once i get pasted level 4 or 5 tech, i CANT win crying
and only (as far as this idiot *points at self* knows) tiberian sun, C&C 3, and command and conquer, and there related expansions deal with tiberium itself. Red alert and RA2 deals with ore, or gold, or what the heck is it called, cuz idk lol. and generals is supplys and i know most people know this stuff and more but i thought id post it.
Feel free to correct me biggrin

C&C 1 is centered more around the war at hand, while SUN was more focused on tiberium research, at least for GDI

Well, the storyline is as follows:
Tiberium arrives on Earth and spreads. Scientists like Dr. Mobius discover that Tiberium is lethal to organic life. It becomes expensive because of its rarity on the planet at the time and is sold to scientists for research. This is about when Command & Conquer comes in, with Nod and GDI repelling and invading territories to claim areas of concentrated Tiberium.
Over time, Tiberium loses its value by some, but the new expense is Blue Tiberium, which was very explosive and pricy. Also, creatures developed from too much exposure to tiberium, such as the former human Visceroid, and the animal-like Tiberian Fiend, and also, the "Shiners", or mutants, people who were exposed to Tiberium long enough that they had begun transformation, but not enough to have the lethal dose. At this time, GDI was focused on getting information on Nod's research on Tiberium and halting the strange technology they developed, while Nod was using dirty tricks and schemes to prevent GDI from accomplishing their goal to demolish what was left of Nod. At the end of Tiberian Sun, and before Firestorm came in, Kane fires the missle that would spread across the planet, increasing Tiberium expansion and evolution.
At the beginning of Firestorm, Nod and GDI are in disarray, since the new Tiberium world was expanding rapidly. Transformations of Tiberium creatures grew, as well, with the new addition of the Tiberium Floater, which seemed to be a form of "Jellyfish" with root-like tentacles. Nod retrieved CABAL, and so did GDI, but they both came to the harsh conclusion that CABAL was on his own side, the side against all sentient life. GDI and Nod succeed in stopping CABAL's threat to life and CABAL retreats to where it is found that Kane is simply bing cloned somewhere and that CABAL happens to be the very mind of Kane in a computer.
Another time skip occurs and Tiberium poses a threat to the world in Tiberium Wars, in which it had spread so violently, that there are now zones in the world that are uninhabitable by humans, and parts where it is unsafe for humans, to a degree.
I just thought I'd throw my knowledge in their. XP Also, Renegade was focused around the Tiberium Universe, but was simply during the Command & Conquer timeline and you play in first- or third-person as a GDI Commando.

i know this is off topic but it goes with what seth said.
Idk if this is true but both Tanya and Kane appered in C&C 1, idk if its true cuz im stuck in the missions, and because of this some people (including me) think that the tiberain line and the red alert line will merge at some point in the next few games. When i read about this like 2 weeks ago it got me thinking "what if theres another timeline that runs along with these 2?" i mean think about it, this third timeline is what causes the Tiberian and Red Alert to merge. I cant remember at what times RA and Tiberian take place so it might not even be possible but its still really cool to think about. rofl
Also i know some people might say "why dont the RA allies just go back in time before the timelines split." They would if they KNEW about the split. talk2hand

Well, Red Alert, itself was an alternate timeline for our own. It was a universe in which Albert Einstein developed a time machine and went back in time to assassinate Adolf Hitler. His success in this lead to the Soviets getting power in Europe and the guts to actually attack during the Cold War, which wasn't considered "cold" anymore.
Also, they aren't related, but definately could be, as it was simply meteorites that hit the planet, spreading the existence of the mysterious and unknown substance, which we soon called Tiberium, on the planet.
