My thoughts are comfortable plush black couches, with emerald or darker green satiny end pillows, and green and black arm chairs, with tapestries depicting intresting things, like say major wizardly battles and such. Wall sconces with ever burning torches in them for illumination, at a slightly dim but quite acceptable level.

Finora: Well, they used to. My sister goes to the same school I did, and they didn't get to do it last year. But move here anyway - you could join the school equestrian team!

Stupid Canada... and it's lack of equestrian team... No wonder why we always suck at in the Equestrian part of the Olympics. Well, we do suck, ever since Big Bed died.

Stupid Canada... and it's lack of equestrian team... No wonder why we always suck at in the Equestrian part of the Olympics. Well, we do suck, ever since Big Bed died. I also live in one of the highest average income areas outside of california, which is why.

*dies* I'm in the states, and my school has one too, and its a public school. And I went to a Catholic all-girls' school (even though I'm not Catholic or even Christian), so maybe it just comes as part of the package deal? (Quite a few schools here have an equestrian team, I think.) And let the record show that I have considered applying to become an honorary Canadian several times, and I wouldn't want to become an honorary citizen of a country that sucked, so it is clear that Canada can't really suck that much.

This stupid place doesn't have an equestrian team. *sulks* But, I heard that Guelph University has an equestrian team, and quite a fearful one, to be honest. I'm thinking about taking Glider with me and joining the team. XD! And, I'm thinking only because it would be a LOT of money to board my horse there AND board there, myself. I'll be in so much debt by the time I'm done that I'll be a vet/babysitter/prostitute/stripper and I still won't have enough money to pay the student loans.

Can't your parents pay for university? Don't you have a government scheme that pays the uni fees for you and then you pay the debt back to the government as extra tax?

My parents pay for university? Ha. Ha ha ha. No.
You can get scholarships if you apply for them, but my Dad already figured out one year at Guelph to be around $17'000, and that's not including board for Glider. I don't think any scholarships I get will be enough for that stuff.
And... I'm not quite sure how the student loan system works, but you end up being able to go to university and then slowly pay back the government or university over time in your newfound career.

Why would we have locked this thread? This was a great thread! I'm blaming Finn. Even poncey pretentious past me could appreciate this excellent thread.
Past-Kayla: Actually, it turns out you did well at school (I don't know if it was Guelph or not), but you were sidetracked by having a kid. He is absolutely adorable.
Past Finn: What the ********, bro? So off-topic is okay when you're doing it, but not when Kayla is?
(Is swearing allowed on Gaia? Did I make an anti-swearing rule for TSC? I read that incredibly pretentious rules post, but I didn't pay much attention. Sorry past me)
