I want to read, but I can't really get into anything this summer. The only thing I've taken pleasure in reading was Half Blood Prince and I only needed it for my Remus Lupin fix, no matter how small that turned out to be. Nothing seems to hold my attention for very long... crying

I am surprized on the amount of readers. In the 120 at my school, there are probaly 10-20 readers, and most are little kids who stop reading when they get older. So a older reader is rare. I am the only one in my grade and 2 in the next, I think there the oldest.

In my family my dad doesn't read much, just his few magazines and his bible(the princess auto catalog type thing). My mom is the big reader, if she had every book she ever had(including ones from the libray) she could have her own libray. She still has alot though. I got my love of reading from my mom. I read the HP books over and over, that I wanted something new to read, so my mom gave me one or hers to read. I didn't lke it so I went to the school libray, and now I got a whole shelf full of books. My yonger brother, he learnt to read from me. I had these really cool fact books that my brother keeped stealing from me to read, so he probaly thought that mabey my other books are good so there. He aculy only owns tecnicly one book, but some of my books are partly his. My youngest brother doesn't read, he's stubern. It's nice to talk to people who like books, usally I am quiet and never talk.

When I moved to a new school, I met a lot of people who were interested in books. Over my lifetime if I include adults, about 10 people. Not a lot, but most people seem to like video games better. gonk

And depending what game you get, there could be a lot of reading involved. xd

I have to do an argumentative project for a seminar class that is required of everyone. I just got approval from my instructor to do it on violence in the media. Lots of reading coming my way this quarter.A book review for another class too. I'm going to be busy...

Jeeze, so many readers... I knew that there were people out there that read, but, jeeze. I'm one of the 8(maybe 1 cool out of 400 people at my "sports-oriented" school that read, I have a bookshelf thats about 5.8 feet tall, and about 3 1/2 feet wide, and its full.

EDIT:
I play lots of video games, most of them first person shooters, I'm the 2nd biggest gamer at my school, and I'm probly the 2nd biggest reader

sigh.

Of course, having a large guild has its downside. Thirty-six members have zero posts. That's makes me sad. cry

You could always threaten to ban for inactivity! xd

Ah, so much reading to do! And the time to do it! *sheds a tear* I so totally plan to re-read Gone with the Wind over break. Gee, has it really been ten years since I last read it? eek
