Ana let Kyrai lead her into the room. She sat in a chair, facing him, while she nervously smoothed down the edges of her skirt. Taking a deep breath, she started talking. "Someone came to the GIT building looking for me last night. He left me this." She held out Alexander's first letter, indicating that Kyrai's should read it.

Hello Precious. You were a very naughty girl, running out on me like that. But it's ok. I forgive you. I've gone through a lot of trouble finding you. But now that I have, I'm looking forward to catching up with you. We've got a lot of lost time to make up for. I'll be seeing you. ~A

Ana closed her eyes. "Then man who gave me this is named Alexander. He...he's....my husband." She opened her eyes and looked at Kyrai, tears once more starting to form. "I was with him four years. Four years of hell. He...abused me. And because of his connections, divorce wasn't an option. So I ran. I ran as far as I could get. I thought I could just forget about him and start over. I thought I could be free. And for four years, I was. But last night he found me."

She swallowed hard, forcing herself to tell the whole story. "I decided to stay here, because I don't think my house was safe....but somehow....he got in." The tears that she had been trying to hold back finally became too much and started to flow down her face. She looked at Kyrai, silently begging him not to hate her. "H-he was here, waiting for me. H-he, h-he....." Her voice broke as she sobbed in shame. "And I-I l-let h-him! H-how c-could I d-do t-that?" She buried her face in her hands and sobbed.

For a moment the room grew darker, and colder. As if every bit of warmth was sucked out of it. Then like that the feeling was gone. It took Kyrai a moment to say anything the look on his face showed a deep thought before he finally looked up. There where no words at first. The Kitsune threw his arms around Ana and pulled her in close for an embrase that lasted minutes. Then with out letting go...he spoke. "Where do we find this guy. I want to hurt him...badly."

"The... umm... kind who doesn't know what she's doing? Just a guess.... I'll shut up now."

"You and me both... I'm not leaving her alone again at night."

Ana looked up at Kyrai. "Thank you. I...don't want to be alone right now. Please, believe me, I didn't want to. I wanted to stop him. But...I couldn't. I've never been able to." She shuddered. "It's like as soon as he touches me, I'm....gone. No matter how much my mind hates him and wants him to stop, my body wants...." She stopped, face flushing in shame. She threw her arms around him and buried her face in his neck. "Please, believe me." She whispered.
