Selene Rosara
As she spoke Selene's voice and mannerisms had indeed softened, a small smile graced her lips even. "I haven't introduced myself, I am Selene Sedai of the Green Ajah. I believe your name is Gwynne, correct?"

"Yes, that is my name." Gwynne's face was blank, showing none of the confusion and worry within her. "Your Ajah is known for a love of men and a readiness for battle, if I remember right. I wonder if there are many Aes Sedai outside the Green who think as you do. We will see." Her tone was carefully unoffensive.

"Well, I doubt the Grey's, White's or Yellow's truly would concern themselves with the Dragon Reborn. The Blue's care, it's in their nature to care about the comings and goings of the world. The Brown's would try to study him and the Red's... well, they would, well I wouldn't know because I'm not a Red." Content with her answer Selene allowed herself to relax, but not much. She was just not sure about this girl and she doubted she could relax until she knew everything about her.

Darz

Sir Addin. If you wouldn't mind, I could use that sharpening stone when you're done.

* a bit taken back by the request he hesitated then began again with his mending of the dagger.
smirking a bit
"Of course, im just surprised that you dont have one or your own."

Jazral was about to make a remark about gywnnes question, when Selene awnsered it in a better way, with out him haveing to reviel any of his own personal oppinions. "Your words are forgiven Gwynne, But I do sugest you hold your tounge about such things, there are many who make not take so kindly to such accusations"

Selenes hangover was at least starting to were off, and his head was begining to clear alittle, light at least she recovered quck from such things
Jazral excused himself for a moment and returned with a meal for himself and drinks for all, save for him and Selene, who had water. neither of he nore her needed anymore alcohol.
"Enjoy my friends, should you require food the patron here, has plenty of food left I am sure. Forgive me for not bringing you all something bit i have little coin left. most of it was spent to repair my armor"
Suddenly it dawned on him Denath was not with him. "He must have gone upstairs to his room." Jazral thought to himself as he lapped up the glass of water and thouraghly enjoyed his meal, which consisted mainly of meat. "Tell me Gwynne, who is it you know of the wolfkin...even know days such knowlage of us is slightly less then common"

Jazral thought to himself as he lapped up the glass of water and thouraghly enjoyed his meal, which consisted mainly of meat. "Tell me Gwynne, who is it you know of the wolfkin...even know days such knowlage of us is slightly less then common"

Startled slightly by Jazral's words, Gwynne glanced at Selene, who was not looking at her at that moment. "I spent time with the Tuatha'an, wolfbrother. They were the ones who told me of the wolfkin, though they didn't tell me I'd find both an Aes Sedai and a Warder among you." Let Jazral make of that what he would, she decided, ignoring her drink and letting her mind drift slightly. She wished now that she had not been petty enough to seize saidar just to get such a tiny victory over Selene Sedai, for the effort of maintaining her weave and the emotions necessary to keep a grip on the One Power was more than she cared to spend at the moment. Unfortunately, dropping the weave would mean allowing it to leave its usual vast residue, and that was attention she surely did not want to draw right now. She was grateful she had trained herself to be able to maintain it for days on end; as a weave of pure Spirit, it could be held even while she was asleep, though that tended to reduce the amount of sleep she actually got.

Jazral chuckled "and the Tinkerers would know of us too." Jazral clearly found it funny although nobody would get why, nore could he everhope to explane it, his scence of humor had always been slightly offbeat. "Not many people would know about us as members of the tower eather, as i tend to avoid beeing seen in citys as much as possible, espscialy in an officaial capasity, Although it is true it is odd to have not one but two wolfkin from the tower." Gwynne failed to rely to this and sunk into her own thoughts, so Jazral went back to his meal. Jazrals pointed ears gave a slight twitch as he finished off his meal. He heard the sounds of a carrage roll up and the doors open outside the inn. "Our friends have arrived" Jazral looked at Markus as he said this

Nanako
Crew

Nanako's mouth would have dropped, if she wasn't so tense from the scene Gwynne was creating. Every muscle in her body tensed, as Gwynne knowingly tried to egg Jazral and Selene on.

Light, let her survive this. Getting pushed around might do her some good, but don't let her die over the ramblings of her mouth.

Nanako had seen both the Aes Sedai and her warder in action. Not only that, but the entire room would turn against Gwynne if a ruckous did break out.

As the mood of the room started to switch, Nanako's body visibly relaxed, although it held an aggitation that did not suit her normally light hearted mood.

"Gwynne, I've already told you, none hear are against the Dragon Reborn. I urge you to keep this in mind with the remainder of the party. You'll meet others, which pre-formed conceptions will do you in with."

Sighing, she simply did not know what else to do. It warmed her heart to have her old friend here with her, yet injured it all the same to see the what had become of her. True, she was not the same person either, but constantly trying to get under other's skin would do no good, and could easily turn to your death.

A slight shiver passed through her body at that thought, and she pushed the memories back with it as she started into the drink Jazral had brought to them.

A smile touching her lips after quickly downing a glass, she felt it only right to thank the wolfkin... now that she knew what both he and Nikoru held in common.

"We thank you Jazral... and no need to worry about food. Drink shall do well."

She couldn't help but stop mid swallow at Jazral's next words. The thought of the remainder of the group she had entrusted her life too warmed her to no end, especially seeing Aorn.

Looking around she wondered what the other's reactions would be. Her gaze then fell upon Gwynne.

Light... make her head my words.

Taking another deep breath, she finished off the second glass, as she felt the first burn in the pit of her stomach.

And Light... may I be drunk if she doesn't.

Kurai walked down the stairs of the Inn and came to the common room. She closed her eyes for a brief second and opened them right away.

"Not yet." She muttered under her breath. She sat at a table and waited till Aorn would return.

"Come Denath," said Kai, the two men now dealt with, "If anyone appears here, it will most likely be those insect version of guards. I am not in the mood to handle them so I would prefer it if we leave...now."

Kai started towards the mouth of the alley, not even waiting for Denath to retrieve his weapons. Hastily Denath slid his father’s sword back in its scabbard, snatching his staff off the ground even as he hurried after the red haired youth, Kai listing off all the things Denath had done wrong. As if he'd wanted to be sitting on the ground with his own sword at his throat.

Anger started to rise in Denath, a rare occurrence, but he pushed it aside. He'd been though a stressful ordeal and now wasn't the right time to say anything to the other man. He knew from experience that saying anything in such a state, especially when it originated from anger, would only burn bridges without even touching the real issue.

Calm down, he told himself, Kai just saved your life after all, or at least he saved you from being worked over nicely by those ruffians. Besides, what Kai is saying is true, listen and learn! Despite this Kai's words still seemed more like a scolding his mother would have given him rather than advice from a comrade. But then again this was Kai he was dealing with, and sweet and tender didn't exactly spring to one's mind when they thought of Kai.

Craning his neck he looked up at the other man, still in his pages outfit that didn't seem to suit him at all. Denath frowned. Something seemed to be troubling him. He opened his mouth...

"However," Kai said before Denath had a chance to speak, "You have potential. Jazral's trust is not mis-placed."

Denath tried to keep his jaw from hitting the floor. Kai had just paid him a compliment. He glanced up, checking just to be certain that the sky wasn’t about to fall on their heads, trying to hide the huge grin that spread itself across his face.

His seriousness returned as they opening of the alley and the crowded street they were once more about to enter "You wouldn’t happen to know how to get back to the inn would you?"

OOC: Just wanted to remind people that there are still Seanchan around so channelling may not be the Best thing in the world... as much as I'd love to have them come down on us, again xp

As Tarma stepped down out of the carriage to fill in for Kai's place, Seluth rose to his feet and followed her out. Having smoothed over his frown once again, the Arafellin replaced it with an emotionless mask. Once again playing the part of a noble's guard, he stood to the opposite side of Tarma.

Trying to give off a nonchalant, vaguely bored expression, he allowed his gaze to sweep the surrounding street, before resting it upon the inn in front of him. He was still annoyed about Kai's sudden exit, but he tried not to let it show.

As Tarma spoke quietly to him, the Asha'man turned his head slightly, the salty breeze catching at his nondescript cloak and tugging at his hair. Ignoring it, he gave his companion a nod in reply. She had been even more irked than he at Kai's behaviour. Not that that was surprising. Tarma had a hotter temper than he did. Ever so faintly, Seluth smiled. It would be certainly be interesting when Kai decided to return.

::At Denath's question, Kai sowled a bit.::
If Aorn hadn't taken us on that joy ride to the docks I would have. We need to get back to the rich district so I can find my way there. The carriage was headed towards the docks...so we have to start walking...
::Kai thought...considering the possible directions. Then pointed.::
That way. Perhaps we can ask a merchant if we get lost, but I would rather limit our interaction with locals. We aren't out of hot water yet. Between the two factions in the city that dislike us I dont want to face either of them.
::He stepped out, walking down the street with his usually intimidating stride, only he tempered it to allow Denath a chance to catch up. If he was going to be stuck strolling the streets with this child, he didnt want to alienate the boy right away.::
What has Jazral taught you so far?

With a few more wisks the dagger was now servicable again, although not as good quality as his other weapons it would be servicable.
* looking over at Darz, he notied that his mood was more subdued and thoughtful.
" heads up "
*tossing over the sharpening stone
*placing the dagger in a sheath hidden on his boot he then stood up and streached. His armor creaked and groaned as did his body loosened. a bit disapointed in the flexability of his repaired armorbut glad that its black enamalled surface was now dent free. the crest of his house stood unblemished now, the red eagle clutching the sword in one claw and arrows in the other gave some gladdness to his heavy heart.
*trying to get Darz to talk
"did you know that the Dragon reborn, Rand Al'thor was crowned king here after he took it from one of the forsaken?
at least thats what ive heard whaile walking through the city. Of course its rumors but still some rumors can be true. "

* pausing to see if Darz was even listening
"I wonder if he knows its been taken by the shadow filled Seanchan.
I just hope that the city doesnt fall lke that of Aridhol."

Nikoru finally walked over to where Selene, Jazral, and Gwynne were and gave the girl a pointed look.

"I truly don't want to be discovered by Seanchan again, so if you are weaving at all, Wilder, I suggest you stop..ability to cloak it or not."

Even if her senses as an Aes Sedai couldn't tell that Gwynne was channeling, that instinct as wolfkin kicked in, and she felt the hairs on the back of her neck rise up slightly. Gwynne was up to something. She had just gotten her freedom back, and she did -not- intend on losing it again. Smirking at the drunken Selene, she motioned to Gwynne.

"You may know her name, but let me introduce you in truth to our friend here. Selene, meet the Aes Sedai-hating Wilder, Gwynne."

Gwynne was suddenly furious, but retained enough caution to force depression upon herself and therefore retain saidar. "I don't have your wolfkin nose, Aes Sedai, but I sense fear in you." Her voice, unlike most of her mind, showed her rage clearly. Freed forcibly from her wish to hide her abilities, Gwynne wove Air and Water, giving the wolfsister a subtle but unmistakable shove to the left. "I have cloaked myself since I learned to channel, and not all your White Tower sensed me." Now a shove to the right. "Even the Whitecloaks decided I was a friend to the Light." Now a smaller shove backwards, this one almost imperceptible. "For the moment, I can channel freely and you can not, lest you bring your fear down upon yourself. When the field is evened, I will face what punishment you wish to lay upon me for my insolence. Until then, hold your tongue, and remember what benefit my abilities were to you." She turned her back on the Aes Sedai in deliberate insult, now eyeing Selene as if daring her to speak.

Selene's eyes opened wide in shock and her mouth fell open at Nikoru's words. When Gwynne started shoving her sister about like a doll, openly defying her to retaliate Selene's blood started to boil. Standing up quickly she pulled a dagger out from under her pants legs, when Gwynne turned around the point found the girl's neck. "You remember your own words, my Ajah has a readiness for battle? How foolish are you girl? Both myself and Nikoru have been trained for fighting, you think you can push either of us around like we were nothing?"

Smirking Selene looked deep into Gwynne's blue eyes, her own emerald ones held no mercy. "Please don't think I can't kill you and get away with it, a city like Illian is a big place and the Seahchan won't care if I kill a marath'damane, in fact, I think they'll thank me. You're not the only one who can hide their ability to channel deary." It was true, Selene had her ability to channel hidden, the difference was she had tied off the weave so she wouldn't lose it during her drinking match.

"So, give me one good reason why I should leave your neck in one piece, please." She grabbed Gwynne's arm tightly and pushed the point in deeper, she knew her actions were un-like an Aes Sedai but there were some things she would not tolerate, this being one of them.
