Emmeline walked silently and thoughtfully down the road. Her mind trying to decide exactly who or what she would meet, what would be taught. She had never met anyone quite like Garth. She sighed as she approached the large ship and let her eyes wander over it for a moment, not removing her hood, as she started foward.

"Is anyone here?" she asked, her voice calm and sure, though quiet. "I was sent here by Garth to join the crew..." she stated as she stood at the entrance to the ship. Her eyes continued to wander over it. She only stood 5'8" but she held herself as if it were 6'8 instead, as if she was the tallest person in the world. Something she really would like to be broke of because it made her feel as though she were being snobby, but she had never been taught much less allowed to relax when meeting someone new.

Alorir looked around as a man walked into the pub, he looke down on the man as he asked for the "wretch" that owned the ship. Alorir spoke in his usual deep voice, "I do believe, that you are refering to my...current captain..." the last two words were little more than a growl, though it should have been understandable for the man, "And I must politely ask that you do not use such insults again." Alorir reached into the bag and drew the three-inch-long battle axe, which quickly grew to its former five-foot length...

There was booming coming from across the deck as Emmeline spoke. When finaly out of the shadows and clouds of mist from whatever lived in the belly of the ship, came a huge bull like creature. Its eyes glinted demonicly in the night with a pirecing red light. As it stomped into a clearer view, the giant creature stood up on two hooved legs. Standing nine feet high, its torso was very much so human but its legs and head were from a bull. It had tattoos all over its torso - ranging from celtic like knots to a long shape of an axe along its right arm. There was another boom as the creature set a huge halberd next to him, easily if not larger than his height. The axe head alone was a large as his torso but the thing seemed to carry it with an almost unnatural ease.

"Name and Pouch." His voice bellowed, the water under the ship rippling violently. It let out a snort of smoke from its nostrils as it looked down at the tiny woman that stood before him.

This was an unnatural sight on earth. Yes they were in legends but no one had ever actually seen one. The thing that stood before Emmeline was a Minotaur.

Garth turned to the man who had just entered. His good eye gleamed with the cunning of a Fox as he watched the man try to find the one with 'the ship'.

"A ship sir?" He spoke up, "I have a ship but its only a tiny one. Me and my crew will be out of your hair in the hour. We come here wanting nor giving any trouble but I do doubt you would want us to prolong our stay here." His voice was entirely unthreatening as he took steps to come closer to the man, but not at an offensive distance, "Some.." He looked to the side trying to find the right veiled words, "Acquaintances of ours.. Seem to want to play.. Er.. Um.." He looked to the side again, "Tag?" He looked up hoping the man would accept his words.

His hand went behind his back, a small light could be seen being conjured there. It faded away quickly though, it could only be noticed by those who were particualarly close to him.

He brought his hand forward, "Of course We wouldn't dream of coming and going without paying tribute to great duke such as your self, sir." He bowed lowly as he opened his hand, revealing ten gold coins, "If you require a more generous token of appreciation than this, sir, You only need ask."

He took the mans hand, still bowed of course, and put the gold into his palm, turning on his heel his demeanor changed almost at an instant as a small bar maid came to him.

He straightened, "An herbalist?" He quirked a brow, "You know herbs?" He was genuinely surprised about this little development. He took another silk pouch from his pocket and looked at it. It had her name sewn into one side but had only two gemstones on it: Saphire and diamond. He waved his hand over it and when his hand passed over it there was an emerald on it instead.

"Here you are Ms Yue." He handed it to her with a mischievious grin.

Alorir shrunk his axe again, "I need a drink before we leave." he muttered grabbing a seat at the bar and quickly drinking what was given to him. "Garth!" He called in his booming voice, "How many others will there be?"

When they'd reached the ship Sturm took the lead, Qualinesti just behind him. A woman had already reached the top of the ramp so he waited patiently for her to board, occupying himself with shuffling through the bag.

"Are you sure we can't fit more in the pouches?" He pulled out a dagger and holding strap from the bag, looking from it back to his wife. Turning his eyes to the pouch again, he openned it and eased it in, not wanting to cram anything or break the pouch. When it dropped easily in he smiled and continued to dig through the larger bag they carried.

Qualinesti watched Sturm dig through the bags. She'd filled the bags as full as she thought they could handle. However, the dagger seemed to still fit. She shrugged as he began searching thier larger bag again. As charming as her husband was trying to struggle with both bags, she decided it would be better to carry both pouches to give him an easier time.

Reaching forward she took her bag back from him, now holding both pouches. Curiously, she peered at the one he'd put the dagger in. It felt full to her, but she let him continue digging. He could occupy himself trying to gather all their things, she could occupy herself with the design on the bags themselves.

Finished with his drink, Alorir stood up and started walking towards the ship. it was a calm night, nothing was stirring. Alorir slwoly eased off his helemt, revealing pure gold eyes and short, silvery hair. He walked up behind Qualinesti and Sturm and continued on up the ramp.

On the top, Alorir looked at the towering figure of the Minotaur, "It will be good," He said, "To have another only slightly larger than I!"

Tahngarth looked down the ramp at Qual and Sturm. It took a moment but he soon realized what happened to his gold. He leered at the two of them, blowing out a puff of smoke angrily from his nostrils.

"Damn Krynn Natives! Why could the two of you stand around and cry for at least an hour! I would have my ten gol.." He felt his pouch all of the sudden become very light.

He opened it hurridly and saw that he only had two gold coins left. He gritted his teeth snorting out a plume of fire this time.

"Always so quick to collect.." He turned to see a larger man clad in armor.

"A fellow warrior!? Come, man! It is good to see that garth chose someone other than his own kind!" he waved the warrior forward with his massive hand. He seemed to have forgotten about the gold quite quickly.

Qualinesti looked up at the sound of the booming voice, immediately recognizing the minotaur for what it was. Her eyes widenned and she grimmaced. Now she knew why they should not have mentioned the bet. The didn't really need to apparently.

When Tahngarth's attention diverted, Qualinesti pushed Sturm forward onto the boat.

"Come! Lets go!" She nudged him until they were securely on the ship.

Sturm more felt the voice than heard it. His eyes widenned and he stared at the creature before him. He recognized it, but only barely. He'd met few of the minotaur race, and spoken to only one other, quite briefly at that. Before he had a chance to speak to this one, however, Qualinesti began pushing him onto the boat. He stepped forward quickly, but when her nudging stopped and he knew she would be occupied with the new terrain, he turned his attention back to the minotaur, who seemed enthrawled with another arrival.

He peered back at the creature, trying to decide whether or not to speak to him or study him further. Finally, he poked Qual, leaning close to whisper to her, "Qual, do you think you could go borrow something from him? I'm sure he's got something interesting in one of his pouches..."

Golden eyes glinted in the darkness as if they were a cat's. They blinked - watching Qual and Sturm come aboard. As sson as they were passed the Minotaur giant the figure moved forward. A man in a long silky black cloak stepped infront of the two, Golden eyes like a dragon, black messy hair and paper white skin. Obviously a mage of some sort.

"Hello." The man said quietly, "My name is Dorron. I see you've made it passed the gaurd. Shall I take the two of you to your room?" He searched Qual's expession for a certain type of emotion, his aether hand reaching out and into her mind to see if she knew him.

After only a second of probing he retracted his Aether hand and turned to guide them across the large ship. His cloak flickering like a wild black flame as he walked across the deck.

Qualinesti's eyes widenned when she heard Sturm's request. "You MUST be kidding!" She turned fully to study him. "You don't borrow anything from a minotaur unless you know them, or you're going very far away from them very quickly!" She watched him, still wondering if he was joking. His features didn't change, still holding the questioning stare. "You're not kidding! I do not want to be the start of a battle between my husband and a minotaur!"

Before she could say more, a man appeared before them. His golden eyes stared into hers a moment and she froze, her expression changing to confusion. She shivered as he reached into her mind, feeling a prickling sensation on the back of her neck. Her eyes narrowed slightly. She could have sworn she'd seen him before, but where?

The fact that he had probed her thoughts made her even more nervous, though she had not felt fear for the man when he'd first appeared.

Still outrageously confused, having forgotten her husband's ludicrous request, she nodded, following him forward.

"Thank you, Dorron," Her brows furrowed again, trying to recall whether or not she knew the name, still studying him. For some reason, he made her think of her father...

Emmeline blinked up at the creature, but she expected no less from someone who had done so much to have something unexpected on the ship. Shrugging, she held out the pouch. With a little persuasion as she walked, and a lot of elbow grease, she managed to get her belt, headpiece, ring, necklace, and dagger into the pouch, though just barely. She smiled as she walked past onto the ship.

Emmeline almost seemed to radiate readiness. She may not have a title, but she still had her teachings and knowledge. Though some of it would have to be broken such as the bowing at everyone that she met, but other than that, she thought she would be pretty ok. She was tought how to fight with a dagger, but that was it. She had knowledge of other worlds from going to the pub and her teachers, and knew that such creatures as minotaurs existed but she had never seen one and was quite curious about it.

Keeping her hood up, her ocean eyes glinting as she watched the man, creature, she didn't exactly know what to call the minotaur other than what it was. She smiled a little more before sitting a little straighter and pulling her hood down.

Long auburn hair rippled in waves down her back and over her shoulders. Her eyes twinkled with the thrill of the adventures that awaited her. Her lips red as the rose, small but lush, her cheeks held a light pink hue. Her face was that of what one would expect a lady to look like, "perfect" but she never thought she was. She hated it when people told her that because she didn't want to be perfect. Emmeline wanted to be flawed, to be something other than what everyone expected.

A man came up to Emmeline, a long black robe with golden runes sewn into the trim on the bottom and the sleaves. He had golden eyes and long straight white hair.

"Emmeline I take it?" He held out a hand, a brow quirking with hope that he got the woman he was supposed to meet, "My name is Lance. I'll be showing you to your room." He looked back at the distracted Minotaur, "Sorry your first sight of the ship had to be our Security Manager, Tahngarth. He has a short fuse, but in a fight you'd almost always would want to be aound that Minotaur. He's resisted one of the five epic spells.." He watches Tahngarth, trying almost to see if he could find what it was that gave the creature such a resistance against such a powerful spell.

He turned back to Emmeline, "Come. I've prepared your room. Its nothing fancy but atleast the sheets are warm." He turned and started walking across the deck, "Not even the captain enjoys such a luxury. Always up at late hours."
