Korin-Chan The mind of Tatara was a simple one, his memoriesd full of enjoyable moments and very little pain. Those that claimed any form of sadness were merely the death of his pet kitten and the time is younger brother had harmed himself in a fall, aside from that he had not only loving parents, but also loving grandparents and he had been given the best of everything, particularly because of the infamous symbol upon his hand.
And thus the memory faded and the symbol upon the woman's breast flashed angrily at the intrusion into her mind, the mental barrier increasing as though Subaru was not holding up the protective veil around her but somebody else was. ::Frustrated and wary of a barrier of unknown origin, Tomo used his magic to pull any memories on the barrier and transfer them over to Shin. He was not willing to risk exposure by pushing things too far. He turned around and began heading back to the palace, carefully cradling Shin in his hand, monitoring the last of Byakko's activities before he dispelled the illusion.:: ::The Tomo within the illusion stopped in his tracks and bowed politely to his guests:: "I am afraid that this is as far as I may travel. It is grown late, and I must return to my duties. It has been a pleasure meeting you. If you continue along this path, it should lead to the main road in the direction from whence you came. Please take care in your journey."

Tomo had finished the task, and would soon have the information Nakago was seeking concerning his..."Opponents". His steps slowed down the hall...as the expenditure of power dissapated. Tomo would be on his way back quickly. After reporting he would surely want to rest before things moved on, as did he but know it...his skills would be needed when the time came for the transference...should that occur today...but that would be up to Yui in the end.::

Tatara appeared somewhat disappointed at the comment but offered a nod to the illusionary Tomo and offered a half-smile, "Hopefully I shall see you again in Sairou then my friend," He murmured softly and tapped at his nose, "I wish to see how you perform, whether you are really as good as one would assume..." He added and jabbed his heels into his mount, who snorted in agitation and broke into a trot, Thalin soon following after with a snort of his own.
It was only at the cross roads that Subaru's eyes snapped open and her head rose, her lips pursed in an obvious attempt to contain her annoyance, nevertheless she remained silent and then glanced at Tatara was a small frown.
"Tatara," she spoke at last, her voice tight, "You must return to Sairou and make haste," She began and shook her head as she took hold of her reigns again.
"What?" The seishi appeared somewhat confused and his frown indicated this, "Where are you going?" He enquired suspiciously and the sorceress released a small sigh.
"To finish what I started," She replied humbly and leapt from her mount, examining the reigns briefly before returning them to Tatara, "Tokaki has awoken, guard him well and raise him as best you can...his parents will appreciate the help." She explained and began to walk towards Kutou again, her steps unheard as she began to cast another spell...causing herself to vanish from sight, although this was simply an illusion to hide her from view.
She had felt the intrusion on her mind and there were simply some things that could not be released to anyone, such knowledge as her origins made her own skin crawl, in the hands of an opponent it was not a good thing either...She only hoped that Tatara's thoughts were happy ones.
"Hey! Subaru! Wait for me!" Tatara yelled and began to gallop in the opposite direction to her, towards Sairou as ordered...but any of those listening would simply assume Subaru had run in that direction...not towards Sairou.
The only thing left on her mind as she entered the city once more (masking her powers as she went) was; where had she placed that harp?

The rest of the city could fend for itsself today as far as he was concerned. If everything went as planned anyway. Tomo would return, and if Nakago had time he would examine the information brought back. The more he could use to point things the direction he wanted.

The moment I stepped through those gates these accursed seals will notify them that I am at least somewhere... The thoughts flickered through the woman's mind and her eyes narrowed from her illusion of invisbility. She would have to do this another way then, a way that would involve her entering the city without directly passing beneath those seals and so...with a sigh she murmured a few soft words, the symbol upon her left breast beginning to glow.
Yet the power she was exerting so close to the seal would no doubt be sensed to some extend...

Yet the power she was exerting so close to the seal would no doubt be sensed to some extent... ::Nakago stiffened in his walk..coming to a halt. A whisper of something...as much as he was not focusing so much outside...it was just enough. With a little trained patience and a brief pause his focus again shifted, and then his eyes shot open::
'Tomo just led them out of the city...It can't be...Hmm...Interesting.' ::He thought to himself...resuming motion. Having been on his way to Yui's room, he garnered the attention of the nearest servant::
"If Lady Yui should awaken, you are to give her my humblest apologies...matters in the city require my attention. I will return as swiftly as I can"
::Then down another hall perpendicular to the one he began in.
'So...they want to make things interesting. This may be a little more fun than I had anticipated.'
::With Soi and the Boshi brothers and Tomo somewhere, he wasn't worried about leaving the palace. His barrier was still cast and he was going to attempt to intercept anyway. Passing a guards quarter, he gathered a comliment of 6 gaurds to come with him...not that he NEEDed them. With them trotting obediantly behind they went to the stables, then rode out o the main palace gates into the city.::

'Wonder where he's going..' Yui mumbled to herself as she watched Nakago and a couple of guards exit the palace walls from her window. She had been up a few minutes before light entered her window but had been using those precious minutes in getting ready for a new day. There was a lot to be done and every minute of the day counted. She was a bit suprised to see Nakago exiting the palace gates when it was he who usually came to fetch her every morning. She couldn't really think of anything that would cause him to leave the palace walls without stopping to check in on her so whatever it was, it must be important.

Nakago had not anticipater Yui to be up. He had been planning on waking her, and thus with the turn of events was just going to let sleep...especially after the other day, which had been a trying day. The servant he had caught on the way out was waiting next to her door so that should she show signs of being awake, he would inform her of the situation as far as he knew. Nakago would attend to their guest who was back sooner than expected..and thencontinue as planned::

|ooc: Well I can't have Subaru enter automatically, according to the anime even the faintest foreign ki could be sensed by the seal above the gates so I had to work with it...|
The illusion around the woman dropped as the sparrow fluttered into the air and ascended above the gates, chirping merrily as it swung through the still air. Its wings fluttered rapidly as it made its way towards a tree where it perched and glanced around, chirping ever more to an unknown song when in truth...the seishi within its petite figure looked around in silence.
Subaru's illusions and magic were strong, ever since he discussion with what appeared to be Byakko she had renewed vigour and would not fail him, but their intrusion into both her mind and Tatara's was a step to far, a breach of peace...according to her, those who delved into something so private would lead to something much worse and therefore must be stopped.
...Even if it meant destroying their ceremony of summons to Seiryuu, almost blasphemus, but perhaps necessary in a way...to teach them a lesson perhaps?

This extra exertion of poer was multi faceted. It would likely draw the attention of the returning Tomo..wherever he was, his "prey" lose" as well as enhance the inherent protection for Lady Yui and those inside. It might even garner the attention of the other seishi and they might investigate...Nakago could use that to his advantage. Showing that they had enemeies in the very midst of their city. He smiled at the thought. That would help convince Amiboshi that the way they were going about things was for the best. Finally, he turned his horse again and the troop rode into the city. Not fast as leaving for battle...but quicker than a leisurely travelling group. He was still in the thick of the city...and they needed to be farther towards the outskirts by the walls and gates. Searching missions had never been Nakago's favorite...even from back in the days when he was not the highest ranking soldier in the land. Reminiscing faded quickly though as he thought he felt a hint of something. The party turned down a side street and coontinued the search::

((Gonna hafta back up a bit since everything went on while I was gone)) ::Tomo manipulated his illusion self to depart, and in a timely manner, he dropped the illusion around the dear Byakko seishi. It was not long until he noticed something... or rather, someone, had gone astray. Though he could not distinguish exactly what he was faintly sensing, he could check on those pesky intruders. He made a rapid-fire illusion of a bird to fly over the road and surrounding area to examine the situation.:: "Kuso... aitsu..." ::The girl was gone, and he had missed it. He also noticed that Nakago had left the palace. It occurred to Tomo that he had been concentrating so hard on his illusion that he had been ignoring everything else. This left him in the unpleasant position of having to explain his failure to the shogun, and having to deal with the annoying woman who had appeared. He tolerated Soi only because she was a seishi, and Nakago could use her 'talents'.:: ::Frustrated by his sudden decline in control over the situation, Tomo decided against going immediately to Nakago's side. He had faith in the shogun's abilities to deal with whatever the tricky Byakko wench could conjure up. In the mean time, he headed for the palace, where he would try and rest up a little and go over the information he collected with Shin. He dropped all illusions he had and created a new one; a typical soldier uniform, but with Tomo's gorgeous face, which the shogun would easily recognize when the shadow self found him. Tomo dispatched the illusion in the direction of Nakago and his soldiers, and he himself hastened his pace back to the palace.::

Anyone with ahalf a sense about them...particularrly celestial warriors, within the city would feel him. Add to that his reputation, and simple fearless countenence...she whould shurely know he was coming. And then she could make a chase of it..or a confrontation. His thoughts trailed a bit as the party traveled down the side street and he actually wished that this was not happening. He could be with Yui riht now, making preparations for the changing of power...which brought wswith it certain items specifically to Nakago.::
::His thoughts were interrupted when another gaurd approached. If it weren't for his soldiers training, he might have done a double take. The he caught on::
"So vain Tomo..."
::The party stopped and Nakago glanced around at the nearby rooftops::
"I will be returning to the palace shortly...should the Byakko turn it into to much of a chase. I do not want to be running around the city rat-catching when there is so much more important things to be done."

Subaru's Adventure in Kutou The bird chirped again until at last Subaru was sure that it was safe to reveal herself again. It was then, that the tiny bird glowed with a white light, releasing a pulse of magic as it expanded and returned to the original form of Subaru, who promptly brushed the feathers off her robes and glanced around again before flashing a smile...This was almost too easy.
Nevertheless, she could not remain in the open and pulling the folds of her scarf around her face, she sprinted into a side street and crept along it, she could only hope that she would reach a clothes stall in which she could purchase some more...ordinary clothes, that way she wouldn't be tracked down so easily as she would blend it much more easily.
After that...well, then she would head to the palace once more but this time she would look like she belonged there.
"Byakko guide my steps and guard me well, this much I ask of you." She whispered as she continued on her way down the alleyway however there was one thing she had forgotten to do when she had reformed into her humanself...she forgot to mask her ki.
***
But of course, being like she was, the thought of masking her ki didn't cross her mind as she reached the stall she desired to find, a foreign merchant selling the most desirable of robes...robes that were fit for nobility and this was exactly what she required.
"I shall take that...that...and that." She chimed as she pointed to the black and white silk kimono, the pretty hat and the numerous ribbons that would aid her in keeping her hair at bay. Once she was dressed in those robes all she had to do was find a way in, and for that she would simply cast her invisibility spell again! It was really that simple.
Her thoughts continued along this path as the wife of the merchant aided her in fitting the robes which looked rather nice in her opinion however she wasn't allowed to dwell on their appearance for very long as the merchant waited impatiently for his money.
"Here." She grumbled as she handed him the gold from within her pouch, placed her hands together again and began to make her way into the open streets her head held high.
(Full version is up on dev art but it's uncoloured @_@)
As to her old clothes...they had been kindly donated to a group of street children, now wouldn't it have been amusing if the guards found those, it would mean they couldn' trace her at all!
"I am good!" she squealed under her breath delightedly. Tatara - The Way Home "Oh Subaru I hope you do not do anything stupid," Tatara muttered under his breath as he slumped on his mount and closed his eyes. He was unaware of how long he had been riding for but him limbs ached and he could barely feel his legs so he assumed he had been at it for quite sometime.
"More importantly...do not mess up our chances should our miko arrive as well." He murmured softly and released a heavy sigh slumping further into the saddle as he listened to the numerous sounds around him...the loud, joyous chirping of the birds and the rustling of the leaves. Even the whispers of the plants themselves did not evade him.
"You do realise he is never going to come to Sairou, yes?" Tatara could think of only speaking to himself for some form of entertainment, however he could argue that he was talking to the pair of mounts, neither of which would care too much, "So technically you should have just said goodbye..." There was a pause and he straightened again, staring absentmindedly into the distance.
"Do you think he still performs in Kutou?" he mused at last causing Thalin to snort and seemingly roll his eyes.

Yui stood by the window still in silence, watching Nakago exit the palace gates until he was no longer in sight. His actions had left her slightly confused. Weren't they suppose to have a discussion about the future of Kutou this morning? What was so important that he had to leave a raincheck on that particular discussion? Yui's thoughts continued to linger with questions as she stepped into the hallway, literally crashing into the servant since her mind was obviously elsewhere.
