Hermonie Urameshi You still haven't changed it for Latin. apologies, hermione, but i havent found anywhere online that has been different from what i already have....im gonna stick with it. i have no time to update the list now but will soon..... biggrin

In sign, the 'I love you' hand, I'm sure you've seen at some point. In case you haven't, make an 'L' with your index finger and thumb, extend your pinkie, but have your middle and ring fingers down, like part of a fist. The other way would to be to point at yourself, cross your arms over your chest so that your open hands would be at each shoulder and then point to the person to whom you're speaking.

You can't always trust everything online. I've got three books that say what I told you. You have to have the lines above the letters.

You can't always trust everything online. I've got three books that say what I told you. You have to have the lines above the letters. i realize that not everything online is trustworthy. im not stupid. and quite honestly, its just two little words...and its not a big deal. nobody even speaks latin anymore so i wont need it at any point in my life...im leaving it the way it is. and, by the way, youve changed your answer. before, you told me it was tu amo. now youre saying its te, just the way i have it. rolleyes

Um As best as I know the way to say I love you in Latin would be:
Ego amo tu. but I don't know there are forms That I havent learned yet.

Actually it's amare-love+-ō-I so amō-i love and tū is in I believe the accusative case so it's tē-you.

I've never seen the lines above the letters though, aren't they just to show where to put the.. the.. damn, can't remember what it's called in English. The stressed part of the word? confused

(NB: However, that is using the polite forms for 'I' and 'you.' Saying 'I love you in Indonesian could range anywhere from:
Saya cinta (ka)mu/(eng)kau
Aku cinta (ka)mu/(eng)kau
Gue cinta (ka)mu/(eng)kau
So that's 7 ways there, depending on who the context and who you are talking to, and there could be more ways to say it, depending on regional language and regional dialects.
