relief washed over Batgirl when she saw croc drop the ground out like a light.
It seemed to her that the Gotham Pd and news people were getting faster than ever, that or a major power surge like that no one could miss.
"uhh, excuse me," she said trying to find a quick way out of the media, her eyes searching franticaly for signs of BGM.
"I didn't do it myselfBG-man helped me, I'd have been seriously hurt maybe killed if he hadn't been there!" she grunted and pointed over in his direction. whith everyones sudden attention averted from her Batgirl sneaked away and made a run for the alley where her friend had been hurt.
"BGM BGM, are you alright?" she started calling out before she even made it all the way there.

BGM looked up at Batgirl, and smiled at her. " Hey...are you alright?" he asked, concerned for her wellbeing. "Oh, don't worry about me, happens all the time...though, to tell you the truth, this is my second or third time fighting villains...." he chuckled, looking down at his feet.

"Your kidding?" Batgirl gaped trying to hold back her shock,
"you don't seem at all like a first timer," she admited hoping she had not embarrassed the hero and then her eyes looked down at the shards of gum around there feet, and she felt conserned.
"are you sure your alright," she asked again, clutching her side feeling sure she was gonna need bandaids.

BGM shook his head...he wasn't kidding. He looked back up at Batgirl, and smiled at her kind words. " Well, thanks....and I'm sure...I am alright, don't worrry...that stuff on the ground is my gum armor...it's practically bulletproof, smash proof, and slice proof...that's why I wear it as my costume..." he smiled at her, and the back of his goggles snapped at that moment, and they came off, revealing his face to her.
"O.O" would be the emoticon for BGM...er, James Thomas' expression as he didn't have enough energy to spare to keep his entire costume on...He blushed nervously, and looked aorund seeing that the media was almost gone. " Eep! I can't let anyone see me like this! It's bad enough that Keira girl knows I'm BubbleGumMan!" he groaned, and hid behind a dumpster.

Batgirl would have stood there feeling slightly shocked at seeing who her crime fighting partner was but hid along side of James and quickly worked at pullind s peice of something black out of her gold belt.
"here," she said holding out a little face mask that looked similar to the Boy wonders. "THis should do," Batgirl suddenly asked out of curiosity
"Keira, knows who you are? She couldn't help wondering how that happened, but decided to put BGM mind at ease,
"I've met her before, she won't tell anyone, she's good at keeping secrets."

James looked up from his panic, and quickly snatched the mask and pressed it to his face, and sihed relief once his identity was safe once more. He was so happy, he turned to Batgirl and hugged her gnetly to him, wrappign his arms around her. "Thank you!" he said happily, and held her in his slender strong arms for awhile, not noticing what he was doing.

"uuh your welcome," Batgirl blushed, she had not realized how important BGM's secret identity was to him, it made her think very carefully about what she was going to say next.
"I.. well.." she stammered feeling her face grow very pink at the greatful hug she was recieving, "I feel bad knowing your identity, and you not knowing mine, it almost seems as if I I have some advantage that I shouldn't have," she mubly admited trying steady her heart rate as she reached up to remove her mask breifly, then stopped befor she slide all the way.
"If you'd rather not know, I understand," she said feeling a tremmer in her voice.

BGM blinked, and held her at arms length. " Well...I'd love to know who you are..you're like the closest thing to a friend I've had!" he said to her, before chuckling nervously. " Even if it was just to take down Croc...but, even though we've only jsut met, I feel like you're someone I trust and can get along with....my best friend...maybe more...?" He blushed deeply, asking that last part more to himself then to her. He looked back up to her. He took his mask off, and said with a smile, " Let's start out as normal teens this time..Hi, I'm James Thomas...and you are?"

For the first time Batgirl felt a happy thought rush over her, a thought that was spoken by James 'normal teen. that was something she longed for since her father had chosen to be a police officer.
It was true some how even though she and James had just met and to fight crime at that, there ability to work together, and trust eachother was there.
Softly Batgirl pulled her cowl off and let it fall to the ground reavealing her true face which was blushing.
"Hi James, I'm Barbara Gorden, I'm very glad to meet you." she said and held her hand out to shake.

James smiled, in awe of her. He shook her hand gently. "beautiful...." he blushed deeply at her, and then stood up, helping her as well, and pulled her into another hug as soon as she was standing.
" Your secret is safe with me, as long as mine is with you...' he whispered into her ear. " And as long as you'll never stop being my friend...I promise now, that my friendship with you is only over when you decide it is...I'll be there for ya, Barbara...."

"Thank you James, I will protect your identity with my life," she whispered feeling her eyes fill up with tears of gratitude.
"I'm glad you are my friend, and I promise I will always be yours no matter what," barbara felt her hands tremble as they embraced.
"and your secret identity will be my secret, and my yours ," she softly replyed looking up into James face.

James looked down at Barbara's face, his expression almost the same. They just stood there, in each other's arms for awhile, while the shy James pondered if she wanted him to kiss her...he'd be alittle to nervous to kiss her, so he just stood there, and then he nodded at her. " I'm happy...." he said to her. " I don't want to leave you...but I'm wondering if I should or not..."

releasing James from there hug Barbara reached for there masks and held them out in her hand.
"well I really don't want to go either, we've hardly got to talk with out being beat up in the process." she smiled brushing a wisp of her red hair behind her ear with embarassment.
"maybe we could have some cofee?" she stammered feeling a bit awkard at mentioning it,
"or we could go to wayn manor my uncle works there as a butler, he could give us something to eat..and patch us up."

James looked at her in wonder. " You're uncle works for THEE Bruce Wayne??" he asked, excitedly. He smiled at her. " You're just full of suprises! I'd love to go and get to talk to you more!" He put his mask on, and smiled at her. "Let's go!"

Slipping her mask over her head once more Batgirl beamed and felt a little shy, at admitting her families ralations to Bruce Wayne
"well yes, its sorta a family tradition," she mumbled a bit, then looked up at James feeling glad that he did not mind and wanted to go with her.
"Follow me then," she gentley smiled and took his hand as the two walked off in the direction of Wayne mannor.
((i've had so much fun ..but gotta get some sleep night))
