Guess I'm a little slow on this one, but since I am new around here I thing it must be OK...
I'm very pleased to see that serious interest is being given one of the Discworld books. The Tiffany stories are shorter, and so I hope they won't lose as much of the story as often happens in book-to-movie adaptations. And, of course, if the film does well enough at the box office, there are 20+ more by the same author, just waiting for a film adaptation. I'd like to see Moving Pictures as a motion picture. Makes a nice self-parody, don't you think? Art imitates Art....
I like what Sam did with Spider-Man; the characters are so true to the comic book original, and I hope he can carry the spirit of Wee Free Men into the movie. The Nac Mac Feegle are sooooo much fun!

Ooh! Very very exciting biggrin ! Only found out a few days ago ( by joining this guild xd ).
I'm thinking it will be good. As you said SamekhMem the story is shorter, quite straightforward and has some fantastic characters in it. I mean how COULD they go wrong with a recipe that good biggrin !
Oh! Is Hogfather any good? ensoul you say you've seen it and like it. Anyone else seen it?

Count Omega I FIND IT A SLAP IN THE FACE. IT'S JUST FAR TOO CONVIENT THAT OUT OF ALL 42 EXISTING NOVELS THE WEE FREE MEN WAS CHOSEN TO BE MADE INTO A MOVIE. THEY'RE MERELY TRYING TO NOT PUT DEATH AS A CHARACTER IN A MOVIE AND THE ONLY WAY THEY CAN ACCOMPLISH THIS AND NOT OVERLY ANGER THE DISCWORLD FANBASE OR TERRY PRACHETT IS BY DOING THE WEE FREE MEN, THE ONLY NOVEL LACKING EVEN A CAMEO OF DEATH.
actually theyve done The Hogfather, also theres been cartoons of Soul Music and Wyrd sisters and Pratchett handed a script of Mort to an american film compeny to which the reply was: Its great! We love it! just one thing. Could we drop the Death thing?

Mort without Death? That's a good one. Must be some sort of Zen.
Or something like Vegetarian Beef Stroganoff.
