shadowkatana101 i kno a place not to go ^^ kentucky they frown upon being gay at all and yet some of those people end up marrying a relative You cant marry a guy you met at school or work, but sure you can marry your sister? wtf

Actually I watched a show on tv that said that Jamaica is the worst place. I live in the US now but I moved here from Moldova a few years ago and that place is super homophobic. That is the reason I can't tell my mom I'm bi, she will kill me.

Guys, no where in the US is "the worst."
People are killed and imprisoned all over the world for being gay, by their governments.
The UAE and Nigeria are near the top of my lists.
Sucks for me that I plan on volunteering abroad in Sri Lanka, too. B)

African and Middle Eastern countries and provinces, where one can actually be sentenced to death for being homosexual. When it comes down to that, social persecution and lack of a localized community in comparison is bitching over nothing.

It is just bitching over nothing because of the fact that one can be executed for being gay in other countries, but... Bible Belt America. There are no gay organizations anywhere in my little town, not even a GSA at school. Gay is either a dirty word, the epitome of evil, or people say it all the time instead of stupid. Being gay in Bible Belt America means being ostracized from family, friends, and neighbors. It means having a very sucky life.

I don't really know personaly i live in louisiana and over half the population is roman catholic and thinks that being gay is wrong and i have gotten in fights but i mean as long as you dont really "throw it out there" too much and they dont find out its pretty cool and i mean even if you are riduculed it worth it in the end cause i mean its the love that counts right ^^

"Yeah I would imagine anywhere in the bible belt, or any town with more than 3 churches.
I live in MA and it kicks a** I have a Gay Community on the other side of Cape Cod where I met my gf, it was so cool.
Providence Town.
I rarely get made fun of, but it still happens like anywhere else.
But yes outside of the U.S. is bad I heard something this year about women in Africa somewhere being raped because they were lesbian, it was like...sexual re-education or something.
Let me get this out there though. We are suppose to have a separation between church and state, but no where in the constitution does it outlaw gay marriage, so the laws themselves are based off religion which is not supposed to be involved in politics.
I also believe that if you give conservative republicans a long enough term in office we would have even less rights than we do now. Never mind Marriage we might lose our jobs or be turned away from schools for fear of "corrupting other young people"
