hey, you know what would be cool? if we came up with a way to incorporate the "post action" into a one-on-one battle.
like for instance, say i was battling someone like zejx:

((when im making the post, where its says post action, i would click on "random number" then place a number range. lets go with something simple, like from 1 - 10. after that i would make my post.))
(just a sample, lol)
agni goes to attacks zejx with a horizontal slash from his right flank.
((what ever number come up, is my action strength in this case, 5 .))

((then zejx would post his responsive action. and do the same thing with the post action. ex: "random number - action power ranging from (1-10) - literate post. depending from the post, the power range could be either, attack power, defensive power or any kind action he does.))
zejx attempts to dodge and counter with vertical slash to agni's back.

seeing that zejx's action power was greater then mine, his attack would be successful.
what do you guys think?
of course there will have to be other rules to help clarify other predicaments. this is just a simple example.

oh, i just thought a future rule, whoever gets the first 5 successful attacks wins the battle.
well, actually, it doesnt have to be 5, it can be any number the competitors agree on.

just thought of another idea. before the match, they should set a number damage points they can recieve. then whoever runs out of damage points first is the loser.
we can figure out the number of damage the competitor receives by finding the difference of the action points.
for instince, zejx's action point was 9, and agni's action point was 5. since zejx had the higher point, his attack landed upon agni. now, agni will take damage of 4 points. because as we all know 9-5=4. sweatdrop
also, lets say that before the match, we set our damage points at 20 points. now, agni would have 16 damage points left and zejx's damage points would still remain at 20, seeing that he has yet to take any damage.

I like the idea and have been thinking about coming up with a system like that, but it wouldnt really work much in any of the current RPs. They are all story based so no PvP so to speak. The fights between rpers are pre-determined winner fights. I am a bit busy atm to open a new RP with a "combat system" but am definitely giving the idea itself some thought. ^_^
