Naruto placed his arms behind his head, making a slight disappointed sound as she mentioned the Ichiraku, 'Dang, Sakura saw through me..' he thought to himself before stretching, "Aw, alright.. I guess we should..." but he wouldn't like it either way, Sasuke had been giving him the evil eye for the entire time he had been there. He somehow wished things would just patch up on their own and that the Uchiha would just give up his pointless revenge.
"Hn, do what you like." Sasuke plopped down the bed and fixed his gaze on the ceiling. It was bad enough that they placed him under house arrest, and now the Hokage even ordered these three clowns to guard him day and night. 'Tch... how annoying..' he looked away from them as he crossed his arms over his chest and remained in a curled position. "You three had better watch me carefully then."
Sai's expression remained calm as he continued to look over the Uchiha's back. "Yare.. yare.. have I been the cause of that commotion? Then, perhaps I shall take the shift outside for the time being. You can never be too careful.." he stretched his arms before exiting through the window as he would continue to make his rounds on the exterior of the area.

"I'm ready to go at any time.." Shikamaru grinned sheepishly, as he placed his hands on the wooden surface of the bench in a motion to rise before finally lifting himself up which looked like he was resisting at first, one hand to cover his mouth to stifle a yawn.
"Meetcha at the Konoha Gate then. Don't take too long.."

"Well if you want something to eat I can run and get some... I think we could all use a hot meal." Sakura offered. 'Sasuke hasn't eaten in a while... knowing him, he won't share his feelings even if he was starving. Of course, that Sai may have caused some problems for Sasuke... but things should work out now that he's outside.' Sakura glanced over at Sasuke. 'He seems to be in pain... the best thing to do now is cheer him up!' she thought with a smile. 'Sasuke's probably dying for attention, but he's too shy to ask.' With that thought she turned around and walked over to it. As she placed her hand on the handle, she turned her head back and said, "I'll be back with some food. What would you guys like?"

Temari waited at the Konoha Gate, leaning with one hand on her fan, one on her hip, rather angrily. First Shikamaru had had the audacity to tell her not to be late, like she was going to pack 10 bags and spend an hour doing her makeup or something.
And now, she'd been waiting here for nearly 20 minutes, and he still hadn't arrived. The damn lazy-a**, he was probably watching the clouds, or else had been too lazy to even walk down off of the monument.
Whatever, maybe she should just leave and walk back to Suna on her own. She knew Gaara had had a hand in requiring that she have escort back, and would be pretty ticked, but still, she was fully capable of making it safely back herself, and of explaining that to her brother.
She had finally made up her mind to just leave, and moved to go, but something nagged at her, holding her back. She couldn't explain why she wouldn't bring herself to leave without Shikamaru as escort, but she just couldn't, and so kept on waiting.

"RAMEN!!!" Naruto flung his arms over his head as he exclaimed with forced cheerfulness, his voice filling the whole room making the only other brunette present flinch at his voice. At the mention of food, Naruto had been all ears, he had finished Sasuke's untouched ramen just a little while ago and he was getting famished again. But the thought of Sakura buying for him was.. well, rather awkward, considering he had his male pride, "Erm.. well, I COULD.. go out and get it.. but I don't know what the heck Sasuke wants."
Sasuke continued to slump his back against the hard wall, his stance still unmoving, "..Doesn't matter..." he muttered, tracing his fingers over the cold steel rails of the headboard of his bed. Its cold smoothness distracting him momentarily as it reminded him of iron bars of a cell. Which was what he was really in, right now. Trapped in this room, now recognized as a traitor, failing to kill his brother, miserably living with the thought of not being able to avenge his family..

When Shikamaru spotted her walking forward before stopping, he gave a wave of his hand as he had been standing in the outer walls of the gate this entire time. He gave a grunt as he lifted himself off the wall to stand firmly on the ground. He would have had said something beforehand but he had to admit quietly to himself that it was amusing to watch her contain her anger and struggle to remain at a deceptive calm.
Now would not be the best time to tell her that, however. So he gave a shrug of his shoulders, knowing she would be expecting an explanation right about now, but he didn't give her one. "Well, let's get going then. Ladies first?" he offered, informing her that he would be tagging along behind her.

Sakura sighed, running her fingers along the doorway. 'Why are you always so distant Sasuke?' She put her arm down and turned around. "Maybe..." Sakura paused. She was about to suggest Sasuke come with them, but then she remembered he was under house arrest. 'How can I cheer him up? I know! It's a long shot, but maybe it'll help.' "Naruto, can you come over here? I want to ask you something." she said.

Temari didn't say anything, realizing that Shikamaru had most likely been standing there the whole time. She may not have been an amazing genius like him, but she wasn't stupid either. She held back the urge to scream at him for not having revealed himself sooner, holding herself back from whacking him with her fan for letting her pace around and get ticked off like she had.
"Whatever, lazy-a**.", was all she muttered as she stepped out of the gates, taking the lead and jumping up onto a tree.

"Eh? Ya, okay," Naruto gave a shrug of his shoulders as he glanced over his shoulder to where Sasuke had remained as closed and miserable as usual before stepping up next to Sakura but careful not to invade her personal space, his jaw remembered what happened the last time he attempted that. "So, whatdya wanna ask me, Sakura-chan?" he said in a more moderated tone of voice but not low enough as so Uchiha ears couldn't pick up what he just said.
"Hmph.." Sasuke jerked his head to the side to face the blank wall so as to not seem interested in their little secret conversation that clearly left him out. Silently sulking, he folded his arms over his chest, appearing more like a child who was deprived of buying his favorite toy.

Shikamaru followed suit and soon they were on their way back to Sunagakure. It should take about a few days to get there and back, not to mention, there was always a chance she would lose her patience with him and just smack him with that humongous fan of hers which he really would rather not deal with now. Hopefully things would just go smoothly without any obstacles or complications because God knows how troublesome those can be...
As they neared the clearing of the forest, Shikamaru could swear he heard something and he leapt forward to tackle Temari to clamp a hand over her mouth before she had the chance to say anything. It was barely audible but he could swear he heard the rhythmic sound of footsteps that were headed their way. 'Someone's coming...' and whoever it was, carried with them an immense amount of chakra enough for Shikamaru to feel it.
From the corner of his eye, he spotted it! The speck of black that was trudging towards the direction of Konohagakure. 'Black coat... red... clouds..' There was no doubt about which organization this person had come from. Did he see them earlier? Shikamaru had to deal with the Akatsuki members in the past and they were equally deadly amongst each other, fairly only a difference in skill and expertise but definitely a force to be reckoned with.
