Ino just watched as Naruto was being pulled towards her and Hinata's stand point. 'Wow this guy is nuts..' Ino thought as she continued to watch. After Jiraiya said what he had wanted to, Ino stared as Naruto got pulled away. Ino looked at Hinata who had great confusion written all over her face. Ino jogged after Naruto and Jiraiya, "I understand that you want Naruto to see Tsunade and all, but Hinata hasn't gotten the chance to even say one word to Naruto yet." Ino continued on, "Jeez, it'll only take a few seconds, I think you're capable of waiting that long.." Ino argued. 'I don't want Hinata to get to bent out of shape..' Ino thought, 'But what could I do to stop him?' Ino's face lit-up with an idea. She grabbed onto Naruto's arm and with all of the strength she could summon, she pulled on his arm causing Jiraiya to stumble a little, "All we need is about a minute!" She pulled on Naruto's arm again, determined not to let go no matter what.

Jiraiya stared at Ino thinking to himself *Hmm, Ino certainly has changed a bit from her old self. Her more compassionate side seems to have become more of a part of the her that she shows to the rest of the world. well, she is right about me not needing to take Naruto without even a seconds delay, I suppose I could spare a few minutes to let Hinata have a little talk with Naruto. It has been two whole years since they last saw each other.* "Ok Ino, I'll let Naruto have a few minutes of time to talk with Hinata, i suppose I could spare that much time at least. Go Naruto, go talk with Hinata a little now and thank Ino for convincing me to let you have a few moments." With that last statement directed at Naruto, Jiraiya turned back to Ino and decided that this proved to be a good opportunity to figure out the events that had transpired in the last two years in Konoha while he was out training Naruto. Turning to Ino, Jiraiya asks her in one of his rare serious tones, "Ino, update me on whats happened in the village since me and Naruto has left. Give me a quick overview of the most important events, there'll be more time to get into details over a bowl of Ichiraku's after I have a chance to talk to Tsunade." Jiraiya glanced over at Naruto and Hinata to see what was happening over there while he waited for Ino's answer.

It didn't take very long to find the jinchurriki that housed Kyuubi. While the boy's attire had definitly changed, he still wore orange, making it fairly easy to spot him even if you didn't have the sort of "eagle eyes" Zetsu had. So, just as he thought, the jinchuuriki had returned to Konoha afterall. Zetsu made a note of that, and also took into consideration the fact that the legendary Sennin had returned as well. He knew that the Sennin had been keeping a close eye on the boy for two years, and wondered if he would still do the same. That would complicate things a bit if it were true. Well, it was best not to make assumptions just yet, and stick to monitoring the boy's activity and location. Keeping close tabs on him would make the others' job much easier.

Yawning, Toshiko watched as the fresh ramen was delivered to her and her brother. She muttered a few words, then began to slurp up her ramen. She grinned slyly to herself, then looked over at Kakashi, who was just beginning to take off his mask. The young girl looked around, eager to see who would be spying on Kakashi at this vulnerable time. For she knew that a lot of people would be dying to see what was under that mask of his.
"You might want to take off both masks, brother." Toshiko suggested, chuckling at the fact that she knew Kakashi had not one, but two masks on at the same time.

"Yeah, I know." the jonin smiled, then turned around as he watched Jiraya come out of absolutely nowhere. He took this time to quickly finish his ramen, then grinned and looked back to were the others rested.
"Well, look who it is." Kakashi grinned as he stared at his favorite author. "What brings you to Konoha, Jiraya-san?"

So far the day had been rather quiet and ordinary in the Hidden Village of Leaves. Laughter of children from Ninja Academy abounded, followed by the occasional shouts of protest from a strict Chuunin Instructor. The village's marketplace was packed with shoppers. These were the sounds of a successful and happy village.

Of course, the slurping of ramen noodles was the only thing that one Kouga Inuzuka could hear. Like usual, the 3rd year Chuunin was at his usual spot at the Ramen Hut, with two empty bowls already sitting in front of him. His chopsticks seemed to move a dazzling speed and the food set before him was almost inhaled. If there was one thing that Kouga loved, it was definately ramen. So what better way to celebrate his cousin's recent passing of the Chuunin Exams?

Like usual, Kouga was wearing his favorite T-shirt, a good luck charm that his father had given him a while ago when he took the Chuunin Exams for the first time. It was a dark grey T-shirt with the leaf symbol of the village on the chest, outlined in blue. Directly under that, was the trademark skull and crossbones that Kouga later stitched on himself. His brown hair was tied back in the low ponytail it normally was, and he wore the steel plated forehead protector a little crookedly on his forehead. But what was most noticeable about him was what many identified to be a trait of the Inuzuka family. The shape of his eyes were a little off, more narrow and with pupils that vaguely resembled vertical slits. To many, they resembled eyes of a canine.

On the stool next to him sat what appeared to be a younger version of Kouga. Kiba Inuzuka was his name, and he was also a Chuunin ninja of the village and Kouga's younger cousin. Four empty bowls were already before him, and the fifth was quickly being consumed as they were. He wore the uniform of the village's Chuunin. Namely, a dark blue outfit with a green many-pocketed vest and bandages covering both arms.

Just then, a pretty big belch came from the mouth of the cousin, Kiba. Which caused an eye roll from the older Inuzuka to be directed his way. "Geez, cover your mouth."

"Ah, what're you worried about? A belch can be taken as a compliment for great food, ya know. And damn, this is the best ramen there is.", said Kiba, who then began to pick his teeth with his pinky nail. Another but much smaller belch was heard soon after he finished speaking.

Kouga only smirked and drank down the rest of the ramen juices from the bowl, before casting a wry glance to Kiba. "It's not really that, but I can smell that lobster and garlic from a half mile away. I have no idea why you put garlic on good ramen like that, but it sure stinks afterwards."

"Hey!", laughed Kiba, who immediately began to ruffle his cousin's hair. "A true ramen professional does not snub at another's preference until they have tried it."

"Alright, I'll make a deal with you. You try putting some tabasco and ranch on your chicken and I'll try some of that garlic ramen.", smiked Kouga.

"Ugh... On second thought, you can snub all you want."

((Just wanted to borrow Kiba for this post. XP Thought it wouldn't be as realistic without him.))

Naruto felt his arm being jerked to the left. He looked up and saw Ino, asking Jiraiya something. For a few minutes Naruto felt like a rope in Tug-O-War, but finally Jiraiya let go. He stood up, straighted his shirt and brushed the dirt off his jumpsuit. "Talk to Hinata?" Naruto looked around for a bit until he spotted the Hyuuga. "Oh, hey Hinata!" he yelled, running up to her. "What's up?" He asked, cocking his head.

Hinata merely looked on as she watched the situation unfold right infront of her, with Naruto being in the middle of Ino and Jiraiya while they played a momentary game of tug of war with him. But the heir breathed a silent sigh of relief as she watched both Ino and Jiraiya release their hold on Naruto's arms, Hinata then looked toward Ino and made a mental note to thank her later on with this small dilemma that had started and ended in at least a few seconds. But at the sound of Naruto calling out her name before running up to her, caught her immediate attention and she looked away from the fellow kunoichi just as Naruto came to a halt infront of her.

"I-i..." Hinata started to say and paused for a slight second, in order to gain her composure before speaking again. "I wanted to say welcome back from your training with Jiraiya-sama and I missed y-you while you were g-gone." The Hyuuga quietly said in return to Naruto's 'what's up' comment and began pressing her fingertips together in a nervous manner, while her face started to lightly blush as she finished speaking. Oh, how foolish she must of seemed to Naruto and the others watching both of them right now! No doubt it was due to her quiet voice and stuttering a few words on the account of the nervous feeling she felt, at least that what's she thought within her mind.

Normally Hinata wouldn't be the one to have the courage or the self esteem to admit something like she missed Naruto during his absence, but that was the truth. As for where Hinata had gotten that momentary boost of self esteem to admit such a thing, could of been from Ino and her personality. But it was obvious to everyone around that the momentary boost was now gone, Since Hinata had turned her head to the side and away from Naruto to hide the current expression on her face from the person standing infront of her. She however continued to glance back at Naruto everynow and then, while silently waiting to hear a response to her statement and welcoming him back to their home village.

Toshiko sighed as she watched Kakashi scarf down his ramen. She knew that he didn't like for other to see what was under that mask, so he was always quick to eat. This was one of the things that Toshiko hated the most. It was just...annoying!
Suddenly, she heard a loud burp. She knew it couldn't be from Kakashi, so she turned around. She saw what looked like an Inuzuka relative, then she saw the Inuzuka that she knew best: Kiba.

"Hey!" Toshiko smiled at the Inuzukas. Her relationship with Kiba was almost like a brotherly one, but one of her secrets was the small crush that she had always had on him ever since their first meeting.
She looked over at the other male near Kiba. She hadn't ever seen him around, so she guessed now was a good time to make a new acquaintance.
"Hey. I'm Toshiko Hatake. And you are...?" she stretched out her hand, ready to meet someone new.

Ooc| Yes, I know you just used Kiba for that lil' bit, but I just kind of had to say hi to him anyway =P
And I have writer's block. Sorry everyone D=

Kouga had only laughed at Kiba's comment and was about to order yet another bowl of ramen, bbq misu pork this time, when the voice of a stranger reached his ears. To be honest, he was so busy enjoying his food that he'd failed to notice that other people were in the ramen hut. Something that he mentally kicked himself for a little bit. Kiba looked over his shoulder, as did Kouga, and when he saw Toshiko, Kiba just smiled and offered the kunoichi a seat. "Hey Toshiko!" Kiba smiled widely. "Eh, don't mind this ugly lug. He's just my cousin, Kouga."

Kouga only offered a polite smile and a "Hey" to Toshiko, then whipped around to mock-glare at Kiba and catch him in a grinding noogie for his choice of words, to which the younger Inuzuka yelped before pushing his cousin away with a playful laugh. With that, Kouga turned back to the man behind the counter and gave his order. He might as well let Kiba do the talking for him. Kouga never was much of a talker, least not like Kiba. That one had a real mouth on him sometimes.

But, Kouga figured he might as well attempt some coversation with Kiba's friend. He was about to say something else when a sudden burp from the ground on his right caused a light fit of chuckling to come first. Kouga only had to look down at the spot where the noise had come from to see who it was. "Sanzo, if you eat too fast you'll get sick." he chuckled whilst shaking his head.

Right beside Kouga and with his own smaller bowl of ramen in front him, sat Sanzo and Akamaru. Sanzo was Kouga's best friend in the world and was also the best battle partner Kouga could ever hope for. The only thing was Sanzo was six year old rottweiler and a happy-go-lucky one at that. The dog only looked up at his friend and master and barked in confirmation before once again diving right back into his bowl.

A second later, Kouga's next bowl of ramen was set in front of him. "Sorry about that." Kouga said to Toshiko as he picked up his chopsticks again. "You'll have to excuse my cousin and his manners. He never was in the sharpest kunai in the holster."

"Hey!" Kiba growled in protest.

"Oh pipe down, ya runt! I was only joking!" Kouga laughed.

Toshiko smirked as she watched the cousins interact. She laughed, getting some flashbacks of how she and her brother played along when they were young. "Cousins, eh?" she smiled and folded her arms, then leaned on the countertop. "Well, I could have guessed. He's just as good looking as you are, Kiba." she chuckled, then looked down as she heard a small burp.
"Well, look here." the Hatake girl smiled as she looked at the two canines. Her hand stretched out to scratch behind Akamaru's soft ears, then she took the time to pat the other dog. "Hey Akamaru. Hey...." she waited for a name, and when she heard it, she smiled. "...Sanzo? Cute name." her hand went back to her original spot. She thought of her own dog back home, Khaki.

Khaki was a small tan dog. She had lines of gray on her wrists, back legs, and front torso. The gray lines on her chest made an 'x' symbol. Khaki had been given to her when Toshiko was seven, Kakashi had found the stray pup and given it to his sister as a gift. Ever since then, the two had trained together. They couldn't do a lot of jutsus together, but they were good companions. Today, though, Khaki had stayed home while the Hatake siblings went out to eat.

Toshiko snapped out of her thoughts, then realized how much she needed another bowl of ramen. "I'll take some ramen....Barbeque misu pork, please." she said, raising her hand. She then put it down and rested her chin on her arms.
"What brings ya two here, except for the good food?"

"Heh, thanks!" Naruto replied, completely unaware of what was going on in her head. "I really missed this place. It seems to have changed so much in two years. But enough about me, what's been going on around here?" he asked. He noticed her red face and cocked his head in confusion. "Hinata, you shouldn't wear a jacket if you're just going to sweat underneath it." Hinata seemed a bit off today. She seemed like she was trying to get away from Naruto for some reason, but wasn't moving. "Hinata?" he said poking her shoulder. "Are you okay? Did I do something, or what?" he asked. It looked like Hinata didn't want to be near him. Maybe she was trying to hide or something to get away from him, but Jiraiya blew her cover.

Hinata listened to Naruto's reply to her words and was just about to answer his question about what happened while he was gone, but didn't bother doing so since Naruto had commented on how she should not be wearing her jacket if she was just going to sweat beneath it. Not that the heir was sweating like Naruto had though, she merely was just 'red in the face' from standing next to the blonde Jinchuuriki and speaking to him as well. The Hyuuga was unsure how to answer Naruto and while she as in the process of coming up with a reply, she felt him poke her shoulder before speaking to her again. Hinata jumped slightly out of surprise and looked toward Naruto again.

"N-no, you didn't do anything wrong Naruto-kun." She informed the blonde haired genin and this time remained looking at him, even with her face still slightly red and the fact that her mind had almost willed her to look to look off in the opposite direction of Naruto. But Hinata also didn't want to look elsewhere since it made Naruto seem like he did something wrong, which wasn't the truth at all. "What sort of things did you do while you were away? Besides training." Hinata questioned The blonde in a attempt to change the subject, unsure if her attempt to do so would work with Naruto and his new personality.

Naruto backed up a little when Hinata jumped. She seemed a bit shaky today. "Well, hanging out with this guy-" Naruto pointed to Jiraiya behind him. "Wasn't the best thing in the world. He dragged me to a few hot springs to carry out 'research'. He actually wasn't present all of my training. Sometimes he would go into some town and return in a seemingly drunk state or he would fall asleep the moment he got back. He let me read some of the books he was writing, but they aren't that great. I didn't have much time, or money to spend in the nearby towns. So I barely got any ramen over that time!" he complained. He crossed his arms and looked back at Jiraiya. "It was mostly his fault," he said, pointing to Jiraiya. He looked down and heard a soft rumble. "Speaking of ramen..." Naruto turned his head back to face Ichiraku's. He had already spent the rest of his money there earlier. He pulled ot his wallet to double-check, but it was still empty. 'Darn... Why does ramen need to cost money?' He turned back to Hinata, about to ask her to buy some ramen for him, but stopped himself. 'Who's fault is it that I don't have money?' Naruto glanced at Jiraiya. 'He should pay...' He stuffed his wallet away then turned around. "Hey Ero-Sennin! I think you owe me a bowl of ramen!" he yelled, not bothering to walk any closer. Jiraiya could hear him.

"Oh, the usual." Kouga replied to Toshiko. "Empty bellies and cheap prices, mostly. That, and we're celebrating the runt's recent promotion." he finished while placing a congratulatory hand on the back of Kiba's head.

"Yeah. I think this is the first time Kouga actually bought me a meal. Cheapskate." snickered the younger Inuzuka while slurping up a noodle. Akamaru, who had now decided to perch on top of his owner's head, also snickered.

"Oi!" Kouga protested, once again mock glaring at Kiba. "I can't help it if the Hokage doesn't pay me my checks on time. I can barely keep up with the rent as it is nowadays." But, the only response he got from the pair was another fit of snickering and more noodle slurping.

"So anyways..." Kouga sighed before turning his attention back to Toshiko. "How's Kakashi lately. Haven't spoken to my old mentor in forever it seems like. But, that maybe because he nevers gives me a straight answer about anything."he said chuckling.

Hinata watched as Naruto backed up from her, which she felt that it was her own fault since she had always felt a bit jumpy around Naruto for the most part. Rather than speak again she listened to what the genin had to say about what he had done during his training with the sannin, which honestly seemed to not be the best thing in the world as he had put it. Also the kunoichi thought Jiraiya was a bit odd despite this was the first time she had seen him in person, sure she had heard alot of stories about him but never actually saw him with her own pale eyes till this very moment.

The Hyuuga continued to look at Naruto directly when he suddenly withdrew his wallet, only to notice that the said wallet was empty. Hinata was seconds away from offering to buy a bowl of ramen for Naruto when he looked at her and a second later, looking toward the sannin who was currently standing next to Ino. Hinata once again kept her mouth shut as she listened to Naruto shout at Jiraiya, stating that he needed owed him a bowl of ramen for some reason that she didn't know about.

"Ano, Naruto-kun. I can purchase you a bowl of ramen if you would like." Hinata said to Naruto as she finally agreed on extending her offer to Naruto, not even knowing that he was going to ask her for some money before he yelled at the sannin who was still standing next to Ino. In the matter of a few seconds or so, Hinata had gathered a small amount of confidence in order to keep herself from being jumpy and hopefully not make Naruto feel any more strange than he may of happened to be allready. The shy kunoichi quickly glanced toward Jiraiya before looking back toward the blonde genin, while awaiting for his answer to her offer.
