Azuria St Cloud Azuria was listening rather intently. And then she made a rather selfish decision.... "Zen can you lead me back to the adults who told you this? I promise I mean no harm." She pulled the gun from her belt and handed it to him. "I want to help you." He looked at the gun, and slowly took it from her, shaking his head. "I made a promise to my father, and the others...that I wouldn't come back until I found Iyo and opened my own gateway there. I have to have done this within six months, or I'll be pronounced dead, and they'll send another. I'm sorry, I can't go back..." Alto was struggling to breath now. When he'd stood at the far end of the pyramid, he made a clone to hid and listen to what they would say. He never imagined he'd get this much information all at once. It was almost sickening, but he continued to listen, crouched down and flat as he could be, keeping himself moderately warm so as to not alert any senses..

Azuria sighed, she couldn't bring herself to break such an important promise.
"Why one earth would they send you though?" She shook her head, "Never mind it doesn't matter."
"You said it was in numbers... can you at least tell me the numbers?"

Azuria St Cloud Azuria sighed, she couldn't bring herself to break such an important promise. "Why one earth would they send you though?" She shook her head, "Never mind it doesn't matter." "You said it was in numbers... can you at least tell me the numbers?" "Hey!" He shouted, "Every person counts! I volunteered of my own accord! And they believe in me!...." He shoved the gun in his pocket and turned away from her. "I don't know, I didn't remember, they said it wasn't important. The only thing I do know is that the first portal, the portal to the train, looks like the mouth to hell itself.." He tried to remain brave, taking a deep breath, sticking his chest out. "Don't bother helping, you'll just get in the way...." He then turned back, "Hey wait a minute...just why do you want to go to Iyo anyway? And for that matter...who was that reploid?...and...and....why didn't he attack us? Did you want to take him with you?" Alto froze, keeping himself tensed, and still.

Azuria straightened herself out, dusting off her clothes as she listened and trying to look as unattached and emotionless as possible. But even when he asked her his final question, she looked to be in terrible pain.
"His name is Alto. And ... he's not like the others." She said rather softly before looking away. "And to be honest... I don't know. Though really I don't think it matters if I chose to take him or not, he'll find a way. In fact.... I think he'd prefer his own way."
Azuria scratched her ear, saying too much as usual, then trying to pretend she said nothing at all.
"Well ... at least now we know what we are looking for. Thank you Zen." With that she began to head towards the portal back home.

Azuria St Cloud Azuria straightened herself out, dusting off her clothes as she listened and trying to look as unattached and emotionless as possible. But even when he asked her his final question, she looked to be in terrible pain. "His name is Alto. And ... he's not like the others." She said rather softly before looking away. "And to be honest... I don't know. Though really I don't think it matters if I chose to take him or not, he'll find a way. In fact.... I think he'd prefer his own way." Azuria scratched her ear, saying too much as usual, then trying to pretend she said nothing at all. "Well ... at least now we know what we are looking for. Thank you Zen." With that she began to head towards the portal back home. Zen nodded, though admitely looked confused. he watched her head towards the portal, then took out a small compass-like device. Upon the first step into her own world, the kid had made a seperate portal, the compass dancing madly in front of him. He glanced at Azuria, then began making his way towards his own.

Azuria's ears twitched as she slowly turned her head in his direction.
"What the..?"
Moments later she was at his side, reaching over to poke the instrument. "Whaaaat's thaaat?" She asked rather childishly, almost grabbing it out of his hands.

Azuria St Cloud Azuria's ears twitched as she slowly turned her head in his direction. "What the..?" Moments later she was at his side, reaching over to poke the instrument. "Whaaaat's thaaat?" She asked rather childishly, almost grabbing it out of his hands. Quickly, he smacked her hand and clutched the gizmo tightly. "Hands off, you'll break it!" He scowled at her and backed away. "And don't try any tricks like last time." He said, now wary of his surroundings. He lowered his arms a bit, "How else do you think I got here? Or to your home for that matter? Hmm? With this thing!" He looked towards the portal, then back at her, wondering if he could quickly run in and disappear before she stole something from him again. "But it's mine...so you can't have it. Got that?"

Azuria held up her hands innocently, "Right right no stealing... fox's honor."
Of course that really didn't mean anything moments later as she literally plucked it from his hands and held it out of his reach. The girl had sticky fingers, what could she say?
"But see, stealing has the implied notion of not returning it. Which I will. Besides, I won't break it. I'm just a bit curious. Maybe Andante could replicate this, and then you go on your merry way. And I go on mine, and we both win."
She looked at the instrument carefully then back at the kid, "but if I asked you to wait a moment, or come with me, 9 out of 10 you'll run off and close the portal."
She then pocketed the device and turned towards her own world. "So I'm going to ask you to come with me, with a bit of leverage." With that she darted back into her own portal and into the library of the castle, looking behind her once she gained her bearings.
