Point taken. Gary Oldman, I bet, was probably as hot as heck when he was younger. He still does have this sort of attraction to him, but I guess I just have a preference for guys just a few years older than me and not a few decades.
I'll be reading that after I finish posting at the guild a bit. Any fic you recommend is always a good read. 3nodding

I hate my conscience. I only read the first chapter (which was quite interesting) before a voice almost an exact replica of Hermione kept nagging me.
"You do know that this story is about me and Snape do you? None of your Harry/me moments are going to be in there so if you're going to keep reading, don't think about Harry/me, but I am going to keep nagging you because you've never actually read a fic other than Harry/me or Ron/Luna. Blah. Blah. Blah. Buzzz."
gonk
How the heck do you shut up a Hermione Granger in your head?

Hahaha, good question. I was like that when I was in the Draco/Hermione fandom and slowly going into the Harmony fandom. I ended up tolerating (and reading) pairings with Hermione/some attractive male. You name it: Draco, Seamus, Blaise, Remus, Sirius, etc. (Geez, what a slut. haha xd )
Look at it this way, with each different person, Hermione takes on a whole new personality. But in essence, the same person.
Am I making any sense yet? Hermione, her base personality is caring...just add variations.
arrow Harry: caring, comforting from the weight of the world and the whole Voldemort issue, his only family
arrow Severus: caring, comforting from the pressure of being a spy, defends him when the Order still thinks he's a traitor, and, since his hate club is almost as prominent as his fan club, the only person whose opinion he deems important
arrow Draco: caring, no matter what an arsehole he was in the past she forgives him (cause she's awesome like that), saves him from the Dark side
arrow Remus: same as Harry... except he's more jaded and discriminated.
Eh, you get the idea. For me, I just imagine a different Hermione. One that fits with each person but wouldn't with other people . (Maybe that's why it doens't bother me.)
Go explore the world of Hermione fandom! whee
