Yuan-ti always intrested me too
Kobolds though, as a race they're serously undermined... Why do people opt to show Kobolds as no more then stupid army fodder? as a a lesser monster race, they are acually rather intellegent and cunning (much more then Goblins if nothing else) Stat wise, they don't take any sort of mental penalty, so there's no reaso that they would be stupider then other races, just weaker they're known for being expert trap-smiths... traps aren't exaclly a breaze to make...

yuan-ti are pretty good
but kobolds are the best get a master trapsmith with some sorcer levels plus 40 kobold minions and a windy dungeon it would take some epic to bring him down muhahaha plus a kobold has the possiblity to be the best character in the game.

Most people read about drow and every one thinks or desires to be drow missing the subtle nuances of the race and assumes there smart enough. So naturally most people look down on kobolds assuming they are superior not realizing it's really there family members.

I honestly don't feel halflings get enough credit for being more then a race of cuteness. You would think people that like rogues and thieves would like the more if anything the fact they are so cute makes there job easier. And fine boar mounted warriors, not as good as dwarves of course but still most suitable.

sad
Looks like i'm the only one who voted gnomes. I think they're cool. They're not much mentioned in Forgotten Realms,(except the deep gnomes) but from the Dragonlance books they are the inventors of the world.

Is your name the sure name of house Do'urden or am I mistaken. Either way the only gnome I really like other then deep gnomes is Nafoodle. To hyper for my taste and I more and I prefer to stay fully emrsed in magic and steel rather then inventions.

Daermon N'a'shezbaernon is a fancier name for house Do'urden, but it doesn't really talk much about it. Drizzt will say "i'm drizzt do'urden of the house of Daermon N'a'shezbaernon, so I think Daermon was an ancestor who started the house. confused
