You know, even if Santa were real we probably wouldn't know it because nobody can be a good little pilgrim all year round. It's just not possible. There are just days when you get mad. It can't be helped. Then again we would be getting coal, so never mind...
Ah loopholes. What would society be without them? Better? Probably...

I agree with Shi mostly in that one can't be good all year round, God knows I get upset sometimes and depending on what happens, I can get pretty irritated. Not to the point of harming anyone (just objects), but still... rolleyes

You're right, nobody can be SUPER good like we are expected to be for Santa, but in a way it teaches kids to at least TRY to be good.
