The captain walked over to the wall, and openned a pair of double doors that wouldn't have been noticed if he hadn't opened them. Inside were shelves of different wines and liquoirs, his own collection. He poured two glasses. He then walked over and handed one to Fren, and took a swig of his own. "So what brings a dame like you out here? Just saw the action and couldn't resist? Kind of an odd reaction for a woman."

She choked in surprise, coughing hoarsely on the luxurious wine.
There's one way to put it, she thought. Odd reaction for a woman. She snorted, laughing to herself inaudibly. The woman shook her head in mock distress.
"Sir," she coughed, "I'm not that kind of a woman."

((Hey, I'm going on vacation for 2 weeks, so I won't be able to post. I might be able to once or twice, though. Sorry about this! crying ))

"Oh really? What makes you so different?" He walked over to the door in the wall again and took out some tasty looking biscuits. He took a bite out of one and placed the others on the desk next to him. "I can already see you carry a sword. I have to admit, that alone kind of sets you astry from the pack. And usually a woman would have slapped me by now, so you most not be one of those succubus like demons. biscuit?" He smiled wryly.

((Well, that means when you return, I'll be gone. Going camping at gilbert lake from the 6th-13th.... sweatdrop ))

"I beg to defer," she said politely, a smirk playing on those sculpted red lips. "I have, too, smacked in my lifetime." The woman reached forward, grabbing a biscuit. She nibbled the buttery edge, savoring the rich flavor.
Fren leaned forward again, elbows resting on the desk, eyes crinkled with amusement.
"I have a preposition to make," she raised her eyebrows. "You take me onto your ship. In return to food and room, I shall protect you and your men. If you need proof of my swordsmanship, ask him." She nodded her head to Casson.
"If not, I would kindly appreciate it if you sat me down on shore, where my belongings are waiting."

"Ahhhh, what a predicament." He looked to Casson wondering if this was true, the expression on Casson's face telling him so-so but his eyes saying definitely. The captain was all to fond of Casson's different misleading expressions and also the lack-there-of. "Hm, maybe a test is in order? Yes, I think so." The captain gulped down his last bit of the liquid he swished around so delicatly before and then proceeded with the biscuit. Standing to his feet, he brushed past the two and swung open the cabin door, shouting to his men, "To shore!"

"Wonderful. I feel like a bit of swordsmanship right now, don't you?" She directed her question to Casson, face perfectly straight. Pursuing the Captain's footsteps, the woman strode outside, bare feet still dripping on the sunlit deck. Mindless of the breeze, she unbraided her auburn mane, letting it fall to her waist in shimmering cascades.
What are you getting yourself into? A voice in her mind cautioned, but she carelessly brushed it aside.

"Haha, who said anything about swordplay?" Casson just smirked as the large ship came to a abrupt halt after the anchor had been dropped. They all started to board the small boats for onshore arrival and lowered themselves into the dark murky water. It would now have been pitch black outside, except that the stars and moon shed an incredible amount of light upon Earth's surface.

As they made their way towards shore, the small workers aboard the ship became small in comparison to the vast vessel they worked on, the candle lit deck dimly lit against the large midnight sky.

She frowned at him.
"I'm trying to keep nasty thoughts out, alright?" Waves tossed the rowboat about, glimmering with the stars.
The shore grew nearer. Its illuminated sand stood out against the dark hills, harbored with two small dots. The woman squinted her eyes, making out her dun mare and clothes.

Pulling onto the shore, Casson hopped out into the dark, cold water and took hold of the small boat. He hefted it up along with all the people inside and pulled it against the shore. After doing so so that a enough was on the shore so that it wouldn't float away, he set it down, breathing heavily from the heavy load.

Watching her gather her stuff, he smiled as he leaned against the boat. He enjoyed watching a beautiful woman accomplish tasks with purpose and efficiency. He also loved horses, the mere thought of one intruiging to him because of his lack of seeing them in his lifetime.

She stepped lightly out of the boat, sand rubbing against her heels. Smiling, Fren ran to greet her mare, clicking softly. It came to her, ears laid back.
"Salt," she murmured kindly, rubbing the soft muzzle in front of her gently. The mare whickered, angry with her mistress.
Fren grinned. "Suck up," she told it amusingly, turning to pluck her sandy frock of the beach.

"Shall we?" Kuplan asked and started to walk down the coast without an answer. The soft sand underground made the walking troublesome, but also relaxing a tthe same time. The awkward silence that filled the area of the travelers lasted as they walked up an weak slope until they came to a cliff about 250 feet tall, the dark waves crashing against the sharp rocks below.

Kuplan opened his mouth and spoke, breaking the growing silence. "You see that blue orb in the water down there?" He pointed down the cliff into the murky water below, a blue glow clearly able to see resting underwater right outside of the dangerous looking rocks that hugged the base of the cliff.

"You are to collect that, and bring it back to me in less then half an hour, armed with this." He threw her a stick of bamboo. "There will be certain...um, shall i say challenges-" at this a large crewman chuckled under his breath, "along the way." He held out his hand. "As soon as you place your sword and any other weapons you have in my hand, you start. Am I clear?"

"Perfectly."
She unbuckled her sheath, passing the heavy sword to the captain. Ignoring the men, the woman reached into her dress, yanking out a deadly sharp dagger. Producing three more from various places, she pulled a lethal needle from her hair. Fren handed it to him, scowling.
"Don't loose that." she grabbed the staff.

"No problem, you can trust me. I promise to return you your belongings right after you succeed or fail your test. That is assuming, you make it out alive." He grinned and took out a pocket watch. You start, NOW!" As he shouted the beginning of the exam, nine of the ten henchmen behind her unsheathed their swords, Casson standing secluded from the pack with Frens possessions. "Tell you what," a gruff man with a strong jawline with stubble spoke loudly. "We'll give you a ten second head start." The others cackled maliciously. "1..."
