In the manga, Usagi doesn't really 'stay alive' in the sense that she's walking and talking on Earth.
She sacrifices herself into the Galaxy Cauldron at the end, and when she choses to remain as she is (and not to be reborn as another person) she just wakes up in the 30th Century.
But in the anime I don't remember how it was explained. Didn't King Endymion say something about it in R?

And the girls fight in the daytime quite a lot, actually, in both the anime and the manga. But I'd say the villians attack at night because the senshi would be tired, versus well rested yet busy in the daytime.

I'd pretty sure he said it was because Earth went through another Ice Age (or something to that effect) and everyone slumbered for 1000 years, before Usagi used the power of the ginzishou to unfreeze the earth and became Neo-Queen Selenity...I don't know why she waited 1000 years to do that... whee

Something I wondered when I was watching the last 10 or so episodes of the SS season last night - when the Senshi discover that JunJun, ParaPara, CeleCele, and VesVes are the Amazoness Quartet...they're so shocked...but really now...just how many little girls are running around with hair like that in Japan? eek

Question. How does Usagi stay alive for 1000 years to Neo Crystal Tokyo or whatever it's called. I don't think that's unaswerable, they prolly answer it in stars.

No, it's never really answered well in the anime. They tried to do a little explaining in Sailormoon R... but I think only the dub even had that. ^^;;

Everything, however, IS explained in the manga! One of many reasons why I prefer it over the anime.

[highlight to read spoilers below]
At the end of the manga, Usagi throws herself into the Galaxy Cauldron, to prevent Chaos from completely merging with it, and instead, trap chaos within it. She believes that, in doing this, she will save everyone. She calls upon all of the senshi who sleep within the cauldron, and asks them for power... with the power she recieves, she is able to shatter chaos... but unfortunately it is too late for her. She dissolves into the cauldron.

Anyhoo, after that happens, thousands of Star Seeds burst from the cauldron. Sailor Cosmos stands among them, and has a brief conversation with the Asteroid Senshi, stating that, by the time they return to their planets, the starseeds will be back to their original forms. After the Asteroid Senshi beg to know of the princess is dead... Cosmos tells them that she, like all the other senshi, has been reformed, and by the time she arrives back to Earth, it will be the 30th Century.

And that... as they say... is that. It is explained perfectly in the manga... while the anime leaves it wide open. crying I really wish they would have made Sailormoon Sailor Stars (the anime) more like the manga version of it... the manga of Sailor Stars kicks so much a**...

Wow, lots of questions. I think that the villians are just stupid for not realizing that the meatball head girl, just happend to hang arroung the same number of people as scouts, acts just like her, has a cat with a crecentmoon on her fore head, and her voice is exactily the same. -_- The villians are just stupid.

Oooh! This looks liek fun..

Hmm, 'Boss' was Luna, I thought that was pretty obvious o.o Since Luna's 'Boss' was Artemis and all.... They were talking to each other. I just assume neither of them knew who was who. (Yes I'm mixing anime with manga but still >.>)

I think they just said in the anime that the ginzoushou lets everyone live for (at least) 1000 years. Don't they say that Chibi is 990ish?

As for that "anonymous benefactor", Michiru and Haruka probably just brought all their riches from their kingdoms (they never said they died in the anime, remember? Though I'd assume they comitted suicide for failing...) and sold them off on ebay and the anonymous benefactor is so they don't have to explain how two orphaned teenagers ar so friggin rich while Mamoru has to wrk everyday. *L* That's my idea anyway....

I also though Haruka was 17. o.o But I'm pretty sure Japan has a lowered driving age. Could be wrong. Never been there. ^-^;

That was an interesting theory about their "mysterious benefactor." Though, I'd be inclined to agree that they would have comitted suicide for failing...

The driving age in Japan is actually higher than America, starting at 18. Guess they want their kids to focus all their time on studying.

Oh yes Japan is very stricked about study, so i'm sure thats the reason. 3nodding I do wonder, how come Chibi-Usa is so small when she gets to live for so long?

I have a question that has bugging the hell out of me... and I think I've been the only person to pick up on it - Sailor Stars spoilers ahead, you've been warned...

When Galaxia kills off Tuxedo Kamen, she tells him that now she can take over Earth since he was the only one there to defend it - but he croaks, he tells her of the senshi and how they will protect the planet and defeat her. Galaxia looks pissed and surprised.

Yet, previous to killing TK, Galaixa had to have known about Sailor Saturn being on Earth - because she freed Nehelina (forgive my spelling) to get Saturn to awaken so Galaxia could get her hands on a fully powered up Star Seed.

So, did Galaxia just assume the senshi were on other planets or what? Cause when she reveals all this to the outer senshi, it seems as if she knew Saturn and the other senshi were on earth....

Or did she just forget about them being there by the time she went out to kill Tuxedo Kamen?

Eh, that might have been a bit confusing, I'm not very good at explaning these things sweatdrop

Ah yes... very nice... ^_^ You have found one of many ways that the Sailor Stars anime is kinda screwed up. heehee... Though really... perhaps Galaxia is just pissed that Tuxedo Kamen stated the obvious? Because, like you said, she had to have known... or really... why would she have gone to that planet in the firat place and gone to such measures to make sure they were all there, then act dumb about it.

So yeah... in reality, I think it was more of a "Shut up and die already!" angry look, rather than a "What? Other senshi?!" look. 3nodding

Here's mine....
If Usagi and Mamochan are "destined" then why does she keep falling for other "guys" (who then turn out to be chicks)?

As for why Usagi was chasing after Haruka in the Super series anime, I have no idea but she never fell for Seiya. Which was rather amusing. Especially that line, "We'll be friends forever!" xd

You can't really mix the anime and manga when it comes to Sailor V. In the anime, she was in London and then came back to Japan. In the manga, she was always in Japan. Plus, Artemis told Luna in Volume 2 that, "To make your burden lighter, you weren't given more memories than you have now." I really don't think Luna would be giving them orders when Artemis clearly knows more than her. So it looks like "Boss" is still a mystery. ^^

Chibiusa's age was never mentioned outright in the anime as far as I know, but in Volume 17 of the manga, she mentions she is 902 years old.

lol But if Saturn bringing down the Glaive didn't kill them, then I don't know what did. It never mentions if they're orphans, though.

For the most part... I think the chasing Haruka thing was more just a "follow minako and see what she's doing" type of thing. ^^;; She wasn't really interested in Haruka, though she did think Haruka was hot. lol

As for Seiya... she never fell for him, though they did go out on their infamous date. whee I think in the end, Seiya really knew it was a false love if he/she were to try taking Usagi... Usagi just wouldn't have accepted it.

Also, in reality... just because you're 'destine' to be with someone, doesn't mean you won't fall for other people, or think they're good looking. If you think, once you find that special someone you're destine to be with, that you'll never look at another guy (or girl [for you men out there]) and think they're good looking... you're delusional.

PS. is it really necessary to type all of your messages in that huge pink font? sweatdrop

I was reading this thing, and it was like the fact that Cbibiusa has been time jumping accelerates her age to like...unmeasurable it said blaugh

Question, is Haruka a Christian? She does where a cross, which I found interesting since religion has never really been mentioned in SM
