Klein sighs. "There isn't much choice, is there? I hate to say it, but it's official policy to make sure hostages are safe, no matter the price. And, well, you guys are a bit more durable then helpless hostages, I would assume."

Like I said before, I give criminals more credit than that these days. I doubt they are stupid enough to open fire the second we come within range.

What conditions did they describe? Did they reveal that they know our numbers or that they'll be waiting for us outside?

For those of you who decide to go, the bank looks almost pristine compared to the carnage going on outside of it: the fiery remains of eight police cruisers still smolder outside the entrance, and bullet holes litter the front door of the building. There's a good deal of blood outside the building as well, but no body.

*Starts off towards the bank, using whatever cover is available. Once out of sight of the cops, pauses to remove his cloak, fold it up, and tuck it away in a pocket of his black bodysuit. 'Sit' is and well-muscled male with short black hair and a fair complexion. Most notable, however, is the two straps that each hold a suppressed Uzi submachine gun and several clips of ammo. He draws each in turn, checks it, and thumbs the safties off. He returns the left to its strap, but keeps the right in hand.*
They seemed nervous enough, no need to make them jumpier with the guns. But cloaks are so inconvenient when the crap starts flying. They make noise, or get caught, or god-knows what.

We're pretty much at the mercy of whatever games they want to play right now. Our only advantage is our own creativity.
