Carnane [Aus-Rotten] Nah. I just think their are some things that at common and special to punks that shouldnt be ******** with, and being a rich little whiney a** b***h is the opposite. Its cool though. Go to a show thats not mainstream. Like No Ca$h, Municipal Waste, Mischief Brew, or The Aggro-Vators. Stuff like that. Most everyone will disagree with you. It might just be the raising, and the location. To me punk is a movement. Some people just sit around on their asses, and complain about things. MCR is sorta like Rancid. They started out for the right reasons and had fun. Then they get made for life, and get a taste of the money, and do what makes everyone else happy. Life isnt going to be handed to everyone. But I don't really care what you like and don't like. Its your choice. I'm not going to stop you, but im sure as hell going to voice my opinion. I'm more of an activist I guess. I despise the mainstream. I agree with the movement point. I think there are just some situations that require Revolution and Rebellion, but most people are so stuck inside their own worlds to realize that, or if they do, they're scared of the prospect. And for me, I don't have a problem with mainstream, as long as it's good. Look, Nirvana was mainstream, but they're one of my favorite bands of all time. The Clash were mainstream, and they were the most revolutionary punk bands of all time. And, even though I don't think this is what you meant, I don't like listening to a band just because they're "underground" or outside the mainstream. It just seems like you're trying to show off that way. I'd rather listen to a really good, popular music, then listen to annoying, underground stuff. Oh, and sorry for the insults. I had a really shitty couple of days lately, and I was a bit irritable. I know what you mean. I think its just cause im from philly, and when the popular bands come they get annoying with all the tourists, and the scene kids, and the little kids, and all. I never really like Nirvana. Just not the type of music I like. My girlfriend loves them though. The underground is different here I suppose. Its where everyone comes together without being bothered. I understand where youre coming from, but its just part of something I'm involved with.

Carnane I personally like them. Now, before you kick me out of the guild, listen to me. I still like The Ramones, The Misfits, The Clash, Lower Class Brats, The Adicts, all of them. I was just wondering: I think they have really good guitar work and some really good music. They're influenced by the Misfits, and a lot of their songs are Punk-influenced Emo-Rock. On their earlier stuff, they have kickass drums, and their guitar work is always amazing. They have awesome stage-presence, and a lot of their shows are pretty crazy. i agree, i recently stopped talking bad about them and actually listened to their new album, and i was surprised how great they are. now im trying to get my friends to see their not as bad as we thought. cant wait to see them on projekt revolution

Hatelijk_en_bloeden Just a side note, even if you like bands that aren't punk, that's fine. Punk is all about being yourself, ******** what others think of you. amen to that. isnt being punk thinking what you want to think and saying what you want to say, without regard to what people think? its the individualism that sets us all apart anyway!

I don't like emo. I'm not that fond of emo people, but I don't mind people who happen to like emo music. I just don't like emo as a "life style" or a genera. It's kindof like being atheist. You can have christian friends as long as they don't start shoveing it down your throat. As long as it's tolerable.
