i use a Cannon Power Shot G1 Digital camera
Cannon Rebel Automatic
and a Vivitar manual (for my photography classes)

I currently live in Oklahoma
Yeah, good enough.
My cameras are many and varied. Right now I have an old Pentax body (it went through a tour in Vietnam... they don't make 'em so hardy anymore) with a Pentax fixed-focus, a Cannon telephoto, and a Cannon macro.
I also have one of those tiny little digital gadgets, a slimline Casio. It's... ok. It isn't my first choice, but it's better than a 110. smile
For portraits and other high-quality work, I use a Sony Digital Handycam... one of the older models, those huge things they used to film movies with. Wonderful stuff.

Well, since no one wants to chat about anything, I guess I'll start up some random chatter. xd
What is your absolute favorite thing to shot photos of? (Guys, for while we all know the obvious answer if females, lets try to go a little wider in though than that. wink Though it always the best answer... lol)
For myself, I love shotting things in low light. I feel I have more control of light and my creativity is freed to work how I want it to work, not how the light can force me. Thus my favorite photos times are sunset and sunrise. Anyone else?

I like shooting flowers, they are very abundant and very beautiful and there's no shortage of different types of flowers I can shoot.

I like taking photos of people, particularly portraits. My absolute, all-time favorite hobby is taking a homely girl and giving her a beautiful portrait of herself... not only does the homely girl feel pretty, but I get to feel like some hotshot Creator. biggrin
To this end, I throw Photoparties and invite everyone I know. I feed them, dress them up, do their make-up, and start taking pictures. The guys hold still if you feed them, and most girls love playing dress-up, no matter how old they are. My 30-something friends get a kick out of being fairy princesses.

I like taking pictures of my friends, but the bad part about that is they're all camera shy and hide everytime I bring it out. So if I ever want to take of picture of the, I have to be very secretive and careful about it, and make sure the flash isn't on too because then they'll chase me with a bat. They'll come over to my house and I'll show them the pictures, and they'll see picture of themselves and say, "Hey...I don't remember that..."
I also love taking pictures of nature. It's just beautiful, I pull out my camera and try to capture it.

I love taking pictures of little kids...or catching people who normally don't like their pictures taken smiling and laughing and etc. I love catching emotion, or something that would make somone smile from looking at my photos. I do love doing self portraits...im not conceided i swear! I just can make any type of face at myself and etc...lol im my most co opertive model ^^

Well, since I'm new here, I'll just go ahead and jump in...
I love candid portraits, but I'm often too shy to just take my camera out in public and snap away. I guess I should get over that. And because of that, I mainly photograph nature or my cats. Occasionally, I get requests from people to take portraits of them, and that's a lot of fun. So, I love portraiture, but mainly do nature/cats.

I just try to bring my camera everywhere lol. I think that some of the best shots you get are from evryday life just as it is. if i geta scertain view in my head that I want to try and capture then I'll ask one of my friends to pose and stuff for me, or to just to react to certain things I present them with then I'll just shoot away. but ya...lol i love takeing photos of kids, theyr so expressive and i dunno, theyr just amazing lol.
Oh, have any of you had trouble with Deviant Art lately? it wont upload any of my stuff? but maybve its in the wrong format or something. any tips would be greatly appreciated. thanks wink

Haha, ok, but seriously, that would be my favorite if only my friends wouldn't be so camera shy and hide everytime I try. They really are quite beautiful, but I can rarely take a picture of them. I just need them to sit down for a day and let me take some pictures of them without them hiding themselves.
Other than that, I usually tend to shoot nature and macros, mainly flowers, water, and occasional sky shots where the sun looks really dramatic.

lol, ya some women are really beatuiful. even if they dont look liek bnloody models or stick figures, some just have that look of "beauty" and i duno, i like to take photos of old ppl. They have really interestign and deep faces. Theyr eyes are amazing! lol

A tip for getting your friends to overcome their shyness would be not to try and take photos in a big group and single them out or anything. Usally if you come to them privatly (not stalkerishly blaugh ) then they will let you take pictures of them if they are alone. Alot of my friends will let me take pictures of them alone, but hate it to be singled out when in a group so maybe trying that will help you get the great shots you've been thinking about
