Jodi felt Alex take her hand, and she could hear her whispering. She knew Alex was trying to be brave, the lights flickered. A soft chuckle was heard , and it was close to Alex. "If i could get the courage to get up and battle with it." Alex had said softly. Jodi squeezed Alex's hand, "I'm going to teleport us to the other side of the room ok?" she asked

Alex wanted to leave that cot right then right now...she nodded and whispered. "Please..." she'd call out for soran later. but now she wanted to get away from the chuckling cackler.

Jodi nodded and teleported her and Alex across the room, and Jodi went to the wall and tried to find the door. "Try to call out for Soran and I'll try to find the door to bring light in here, but stay close. I might not beable to find you again in this darkness."

Alex nodded in the darkness and called out softly for Soran. "Soran...soran can you hear me?" She was so scared, the shadows seemed to move, and her night vision powers weren't working... Demonic shadow... she thought to herself. How will i get through this? "Soran!"

Jodi got to the door and opened it wide to let the light in, and turned around and she could see it wasn't just the lights going out it looked like one big black cloud.

(( Whoops, sorry for the delay. ))
The time seemed to drag for the two girls, trapped in the darkness, but for Soran it went far too quickly as he recited spells under his breath and slipped his hand into the pouch at his side with graceful ease that seemed off-set compared to his hasty whispering. Finally the rather lengthy spell was completed and a handful of the magic dust was thrown into the air, immediately, if only temporarily, scaring off whatever it had been that had caused the darkness. The room flooded with light, revealing him standing calmly exactly where he had been. He had sensed the Astra's movement, and was relieved to see that it was caused by her friend's magic and not the demon's tampering. He approached the two girls with a look of concern on his face. In his concentration he hadn't even heard the Astra call out for him. "Are you alright?"

Alex couldn't say much, all she could say was a raspy. "I wasn't brave enough...." and she curled up and held her knees to her chest. Thoughs filled her mind, of the shadow, of the night she first arrived here. Terrible terrible shadow. "I need to get braver, stronger...so i can protect myself and my friends...and not need help all the time." she said shakily. the event still scared her from her past. "i can't need help all the time!"

The Soran gave her an affectionate look and, kneeling beside her, softly praised her. "You did well." He took hold of her chin and gently stroked her her chek with his thumb, his other hand at the floor, holding him up as he caught her gaze and held it with one that was deep, reassuring, and loving...

Alex felt the butterflies re enter her stomach as Soran took her face in his hands. He let his thumb softly graze over her cheek, his skin almost barely touching hers, the sensation flooding through her as if she were hit by a tidal wave. She looked into his eyes as she became almost breathless. His eyes, his gaze, she saw an emotion there that she had thought she saw before in Jack. Love? Lovingly he was gazing down at her.
"Soran..." she was able to utter, she felt as though she couldnt speak, her throat dry and coarse, she had to swallow to say anything. "Lets...lets get out of here...before what ever that was comes back"

"Agreed," Soran confirmed, as though she had just past some sort of test for his approval, completely oblivious at the rate to which he affected her. He stood gracefully, looking carefully around the room (already back to business), and asked, "Where to? I will take you to Su'barra at your request."

Alex stood, leaning against the cot she had been sitting near, and realized that she had fallen from the cot during Soran's relighting of the room. She walked was a little cold again, and realized she was still wearing Jack's shirt, and that the window only a few feet away had been opened. She quickly ran to the window listening to Soran speak. She had to get her heart working again, it seamed to have skipped a beat when he had took her face in his hands. She closed the window then walked back to Soran, standing only about half a foot away, and looked to Jodi.
"My stuff is gone right?" she asked. She looked to Soran, god how handsome he was... "I have no where to go..."
"Where to? I will take you to Su'barra at your request." he replied. Alex looked at him questioningly.
"Su'barra? where is that? Well any way. I need to find a place to stay...stay...Mitch!" she cried out. She quickly ran to Jodi.
"Jodi, did you check the closet!? Was Mitch still there?" Alex couldn't believe she had almost forgotten all about Mitch! "I dont think i brought him to the book store!" she started to panic. "what do i do?"
