Tiger of the Fire FreeArsenal Beware the Jabberwock Tiger of the Fire I could of ignored miranda's post. I probably would of started laughing sooner if I did. I suppose I really should of learned to laugh at what what kind of a relntelss b***h she can be at times. I mean it, grow up or go elsewhere.
You want a relentless b***h? I'll give you a ******** relentless b***h, don't even tempt me. The only reason I haven't banned you outright at this point is because I still consider this KP's guild. But give me one reason, I dare you.If you're going to ban tiger of the Fire, then ban me too. Even if he has problems articulating himself to the way you believe people should articulate themselves, does not mean he is no longer pro-life. If you're banning someone who is pro-life, then don't stop at one, ban me too. Oh please don't get her started an why she would be banning more for disturbign the guild and not because she' feels I'm not pro-life any more or that I can't articulate my self to the same degree as her gonk I said chill the ******** out and cheer the ******** up, that goes for every one. mad Actually, she's been getting on my nerves for awhile with the kind of diction she uses, it always feels arrogant, when kp606 quit, the only reason for me being here was being pro-life. If you're banned, I'll follow suit. We're not technically here to all agree on the reason for being pro-life, or to agree on any other thing than the fact that we are "pro-life" that every child has a right to be... whether they are childish, arrogant or dumb. I don't believe you are dumb, or any of those things, Miranda may or may not believes so, and she obviously doesn't like you very much. If anything happens to you from this guild, I'll go out too.

I agree, but its miranda. Let it go and just laugh.
At his point I'd agree with you, but I don't think she's the kind of person who hates over petty reasons like this
Miranda dosn't think I'm dumd, at least I don't think so o.0
As i said, people need to chill the ******** out.

The only time you and I have had a real confrontation has been when you were making up statistics. So let's not even go there.
Secondly, I said "Give me one reason, I dare you." I didn't say "I'm going to ban you now, hahaha." so don't even try to twist what I said. Also what is this whole "she obviously doesn't like you." s**t? Don't even try to say who I do or do not like. Pyro knows perfectly well that I'm extremely confrontational and I am not going to mince words or spare feelings just because someone might get bent out of shape. Cry me a river.
And lastly, what Pyro did was rude and uncalled for. Had he said "You're being a b***h." or even "You are a b***h." to me, than I wouldn't have reacted as such. There would have been more words exchanged, yes, but the reaction would have been different. It is extremely rude to talk ABOUT and AROUND a person, if you have something rude to say about or to them. Had it been someone who wasn't a regular no one would have batted an eyelash had I threatened to ban them.
This applies to everyone. You do not talk about people in this guild, in the guild unless you are talking directly to them or have something nice to say. If you have something to say to them you say it to them.
Like right now, you're talking around me. Don't do it. You want a way to royally piss me off, that's how.

Wrong, one of the reasons I stopped coming on Gaia was because you were extremely confrontational, as you admitted in this message. And saying I "make" up statistics is a lie, I was relating what I hear people say, not what I saw any statistics on. Assuming I was simply making up statistics is an arrogant way of getting on a high horse about it now. I'll say it up front to you, I have nothing nice to say about you. Good night, ban me if you want. I'll continue to post here if you don't, I won't post here if you do. It's all the same to me.

La Veuve Zin Tiger of the Fire La Veuve Zin THE NEXT PERSON TO USE THE NONSENSICAL NON-PHRASE "COULD OF" GETS STABBED WITH A COATHANGER. COULD HAVE, YOU DAMN KIDS. scream This post was irrelevent to the topic. The poster should of realised this, but i guess she chose not to. This poster is sick and ******** tired of the rampant illiteracy in the U.S. Somebody SHOULD HAVE drilled basic English into your skulls a long, long time ago. But no, kids are getting into high school without being able to string together a simple sentence. My mom teaches 9th grade and sees kids writing in incomplete sentences, misspelling everything and using ******** chatspeak in essays. It's disgusting. If your teachers aren't going to point out how retarded you are, I WILL. If public humiliation doesn't smack the improper grammar out of you, nothing will. Read a ******** book. Read a ******** newspaper. Even tabloids use correct grammar. If English is too difficult for you, learn another language but at least be literate in ONE. Yes, it's a rant, it's off topic, but frankly, I'm considering buying ad space on Gaia to spread the word. La Veuve you know full well i'm normally articulate and intelligent, yes I made a booboo, it didn't call for that response.

King Seth La Veuve you know full well i'm normally articulate and intelligent, yes I made a booboo, it didn't call for that response. I was being mostly facetious in my first response, but Pyro caught me in a particularly exasperated state, that's the only reason I ranted.

Tiger of the Fire Sorry Zen, but poking your inner grammer Nazi is just way too much fun. I'll stop now. xd Honestly, dude, I'm not so much reacting like "YARGH! RAGE!" as like "LOL, what a dumbass..." I interpret people who constantly misspell and use improper grammar as stupid. If you want me to respect you, listen to what you have to say and take you seriously, you have to make an effort at proper English.

When people cant spell, and you constently criticize, deride, and call them stupid, they tend to just start ignoring you. This is the internet hun, you're going to have to get over the fact that there are people out there who have a hard time spelling as well as you, or using grammer to the degree you think they should. The public school was actualy my problem and why I have a hard time with it all. I literaly went five years with out grammer and spelling. It was only when I started going to a private school that I actualy started learning somethign. Basicly what I'm saying Zen, if oyu want people to care about you taking them seriously, you have to learn to get over the fact that some of the people on the internet are either a) Still in school b) have a learning dissability c) are victums of public schooling or d) english isn't their first language. Its the ones who can spell but don't bother to and use chat speak instead that you need to get all bent out of shape over.

That's not completely true, actually.
Take yourself as an example, whether you realise it or not your spelling has improved by leaps-and-bounds from where it was when you first joined the guild. The more you read and write the more you learn, but I'm sure had no one ever corrected you, you wouldn't have learned as quickly.
I do agree about the school system though, even in Canada we're lacking the proper instruction on things such as grammar and punctuation. I didn't even know the difference between "to" and "too" until I was 12 years old.

I didn't knwo till I was fourteen. I didn't knwo the diffrence between they're, there, and their untill I was fifteen. And no, for me its not true. I just tended to ignore people who were grammer natzi's and took the advice of people who were freindly enough to actuaky tell me what i did wrong and how to correct it instead of disparaign me for "hackign aprt the english language", as rare as they are now. SImply because some one isn't as skilled in spellign and grammer as oyu are dosn't make them stupid. Also, illiterate means you can't read and wright. The word used to describe some one who cant read or wright well is "improperly educated" or flat out "uneducated."

If I make a mistake I rather have someone help me and not yell and call me stupid or dumb and i'm sure most feel the same. Instead of insulting people and them feel worse, why not try to help people fix the spelling and grammer mistakes? I know I rather have someone try and help me. We all know that most schools here suck at teaching and hundreds of people struggle with spelling,grammer,ect... Tiger of the fire- finally someone that knows that illiterate means! It's been driving me crazy that people keep calling others illiterate when they can read and write (just need at of work in writing). It's use for people that never learned to read or write.

Tiger of the Fire Let me give you a little advice Zen. stare Did I mention the immaturity factor? Quote: you have to learn to get over the fact that some of the people on the internet are either a) Still in school b) have a learning dissability c) are victums of public schooling or d) english isn't their first language. Its the ones who can spell but don't bother to and use chat speak instead that you need to get all bent out of shape over. a) This is Gaia. You have to be 13, iirc. Someone who's spent eight years in an all-English school should have the language down cold. Decades ago, before my time, grammar was taught, spelling was corrected, and teenagers *did* speak proper English. b) Such as? Most people I've known with learning disabilities have a much easier time using a computer, including my friend's brother, who can't write. He can use a keyboard, just not a pen. I see people with dyslexia and other aphasias typing clearly all the time. c) Oh please. The public schools I went to were more prestigious than the private ones in the city. Don't lump them all together. d) I've spoken to several people online whose first language isn't English. Yes, their grammar is usually shaky and their vocabulary isn't large, but they don't necessarily confuse homophones and misspell every other word. They watch closely what they type--so do I when I'm typing in French--so they don't make fools of themselves. I stand by my belief that anything worth saying is worth paying attention to and saying correctly.

I satnd by what I said. Not every one and every thign in this world is goign to live up to your standards. If you want people to learn, make the initiative to help, or you can keep being a grammar natzi "OMG, you can't spell, shut the ******** up and learn!" and most likely turn others off to english all toghether. Now, if all you're goign to do is deride and never help, then shut your godamn mouth. I don't want to hear it (see it, what ever), and neither do others with the same problem. But, if you actualy want to help, then do so. Calling some one illiterate (a miss use of the english language when refering to some one who has truoble spelling and using proper grammer) because they have a hard time with english is not helping. Point out their mistakes in a kindly manner and correctign them in an even kindly way is.
