cold.wire.lips can i be terribly cliche and say wolf? Absolutely! I don't know, I think that the people who turned wolf into a cliche just say "wolf" because they think it's "cool", not because it's actually applicable. I mean, according to some New Age, pseudo-first-nations bullshit zodiac thing, I'm supposed to be a wolf. P'sha.

Earth endures in a way that does not violate the impermanence of the Ten Thousand Things. Like a Mountain, you teach me to sit. You teach me to endure. To be patient.
Like the warm light of the Sun at dawn, you chase away the darkness of mental obscurations and ethical downfalls. Like the rising Sun, you teach me to go forth. You teach me to be brave. To be kind.
Residing in wisdom's excellent bliss, you take the form of a panda, wearing the simple clothes of a monastic with a sting of 108 beads. About you is the golden glow of your perfected body, speech and mind. By this you are not known as Katagami-sama, but rather you are
大太阳熊猫禅犹如金色山
You are Dai tai yang xiong mao chan you ru jin se shan. The great solar panda who meditates like a golden mountain. Or "Mao-chan" for short.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
As I explored Katagami-sama further, and went into my affinity for panda (and how I often answer the question "what is your animal totem?" with "panda"), I found that the image of a sitting panda in quiet meditation was not just connected to me, but also directly to Katagami-sama. In fact, the more closely I looked the more I was able to see that Mao-chan is an aspect of Katagami-sama, and Katagami-sama is an aspect of Mao-chan. They are inseparable.
This discovery is nice.

I'd have to be a cat, an alley cat, a pampered cat, whichever. I cat knows that she is a cat, and is proud of it.
as a second I'd have to say a raven of a crow, so that I can fly.

An interesting Chinese myth involving cats: Quote: There are several stories as to how the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac were chosen. In one, the Jade Emperor, although having ruled Heaven and Earth justly and wisely for many years, had never had the time to actually visit the Earth personally. He grew curious as to what the creatures looked like. Thus, he asked all the animals to visit him in heaven. The cat, being the most handsome of all animals, asked his friend the rat to wake him on the day they were to go to Heaven so he wouldn't oversleep. The rat, however, was worried that he would seem ugly compared to the cat, so he didn't wake the cat. Consequently, the cat missed the meeting with the Jade Emperor and was replaced by the pig. The Jade Emperor was delighted with the animals and so decided to divide the years up amongst them. When the cat learned of what had happened, he was furious with the rat and that, according to the story, is why cats and rats are enemies to this day. [source]

I have no idea what I am, but if I had to guess, I would say cat. I like affection, but I also like to be able to be independant and go outside or fall asleep whenever I want to. I stare off into space at nothing in particular and I like both being active and laying around. I'm a ninja stalker, even though my food may be provided for me. I like to keep my skills sharp. ninja
I'm not really spoiled at all, and nor do I demand affection from people who don't want to give it. The cat fits me best right now as a totem if I were to take one, but I am not 100% sure of it being the one I identify with.
