Sooner than later, he had returned, shortly after paying respects at the Temple. Once upon entering the door, the young man would ease his viola case off of his shoulder, gripping the case by it's handle.

Slowly, he made way back to the bar, giving a casual glance around to the various patrons within.

[[ Hope this works for you. ]]

-|-The darkness was all encompassing, embracing the swift moving figure like the most tender of lovers.. Protecting him from prying eyes. His feet beat a rapid, steady rhythm on the leaf blanketed ground, dashing between trees, dodging branches low enough to knock him into unconsciousness if he were to strike one at his current speed. He leaps over a bush, bare feet hitting the lushly grassed clearing at a run. His lean body is wrapped in tattered materiel, the torn remains of what looked to be extremely detailed embroidery peeking through the dirt…. A shining emblem of some sort glimmering under the rays of the bright new moon as he pants. Long hair [Ebony in hue, normally silky in texture] flows out behind him, dirty and tangled. His right hand grips his left side tightly, crimson seeping very obviously through his pale fingers. His knees give out and he makes not a sound, skin gaining a whole new level of pallor as he forces himself to stand. Shouts echo from a distance behind him, his throat muscles rolling under pale skin as he swallows the pained noises that threatened to break free from his lips. Flashes of light swim before his crimson eyes, making him stumble as he re-enters the forest, leaping and gliding unsteadily. He falls, tripping over an upturned root and flying forward to meet the ground with a jarring impact. His silence remains, even as his body screams in agony. He takes in a heavy breath, trying to roll over so that he may push himself to his feet once again, but he can’t even manage that. The first noise he had made in nearly a year slips from his mouth to echo in the quiet night’s air…. A laugh. Empty and humorless. A laugh of acceptance. His lids slowly slide down to cover his eerily bright eyes and he succumbs to the exhaustion that his body screamed so persistently for.-|-

-He groans softly, a shaft of pain piercing his head as he shifts on the hard surface he lay upon. He sits up in the darkness and moans, his left side throbbing insistently, as if he had been trodden on by a large animal. His mind is nothing but a muddled mess, as if he had been drugged. None of that seems to matter, however, to the crimson eyed young man, as he simply rolls over in the darkness and allows sleep to overtake his sore body.-|-

-Sunlight streams through partially broken planks of the makeshift window covering. The injured young man stirs faintly, one slender arm lifting to cover his closed eyes in an effort to block out the morning light. His tongue slips out between flesh toned lips, full and soft, moistening the flesh as his legs shift. He groans softly, muttering in his native tongue.- ‘B’sipo….’ -His eyes open slowly, slitting at first and then widening as he lurches to his feet. His breathing quickens as he takes in his surroundings, a semi-large hut [A wooden cooking stove off to the right, walls covered in beautifully done cloth, pictures mesmerizing the boy for the space of a few moments. Then he is back to taking in his surroundings with a slight tinge of fear in his bloody eyes. The floor is compromised of hard packed earth, the walls made of what appeared to be granite or some rock of that type. A woman enters the rickety door a few minutes later, a wide smile breaking across her weather beaten face. Her voice is kind and he eyes exactly the same as she looks him over from where she stood across the small room- “Ah.. I see you have awoken, young one… Such a mess you were….” -His lips curl back in a slight snarl and he spits out.- “La-seev v’fila?! Y’frer sip’Le?! L b’rep-sob vin jony!” -Her eyes widen and a chuckle falls from her lips- “Now.. We shan’t be having any of that nonsense, young one.. I don’t speak your tongue….” -She walks around him, ignoring his tense body language, making her way to the stove. She lifts a clay bowl and begins ladling a thick broth into it. She turns and offers it to him.- “It isn’t much, boy.. But it should stick enough to fill you for now…” -She waits patiently as he inches forward, taking the bowl and raising it to sniff it warily, eliciting a short laugh from her. He stares at her for a few moments, then suddenly lifts the bowl and drinking the broth down, ignoring the scalding heat that came with the hasty action. A soft chuckle leaves the woman and she shakes her head, turning to get her own food. Thus… He found a new home.-

-|-*-|- Nearly five decades later -|-*-|-

-Cold eyes regard the whimpering human closer, empty of all but disgust at the sight filling his red gaze.- “Saerin… I truly did not mean to tell the soldiers where you were… It slipped out a forenight ago when I was out with my brethren…” -The crimson eyed man does not reply, hands flexing slowly as he tries his best to contain the feeling of near overwhelming despair. He had finally found a new home… After nearly twelve years… Somewhere where he could walk freely without fear of being hunted. His lips purse and part slowly, letting fall three words that held all of the pain he felt at that moment…. Voice thickly accented due to his intenseness.- “Damn you, Theodore….” -He turns on his heel abruptly, body whipcord tense as he begins running, hair streaming out behind him, revealing the bruises he had received in his lovely little encounter with Theodore’s soldier friends.-

-|- Three months later -|-

-He sits on the front steps of an Inn, eyeing the few pieces of ren he still possessed [Having spent alot just trying to fashion this disguise], deeply aware of the fact that if he spent them on a night’s lodging.. He may very well not eat for the next few days at the very least. A dark silk scarf covers his head, hiding both his eyes and his features. A heavy sigh flutters the fabric over his lips. He stands, layers of carefully tailored silk spilling around his form, left shoulder peeking out above royal blue material, a hand lifting to adjust the cloth to cover it. His form us covered from head to foot, save for his hands and bare feet. Around his waist is a braided belt made from velvet, black in hue. He stands there in indecision, finally turning to walk up to the door. He would not stay, but he could perhaps afford a warm drink before he continued onward. The atmosphere that hits him is warm and friendly, a comfort he had not had in a long while. He quickly makes his way to the serving woman, requesting a warm brew. She complies and he walks over to sit on the floor by the fireplace, shifting the cloth from his face just enough to take a healthy sip of his drink.-E-

Karsa walked quietly through the tavern door, a small smile playing across her lips. Her silver eyes scan the fire lit room while the smell of hot food comes to her nostrils.

She ignores the smell and walked towards one of the empty chairs. She sees the waitress and gives and friendly half grin.

"Not to be disgusting or anything but do you happen to have a glass of blood, my dear?" Karsa asks politely not trying to offend the waitress.

Akida nodded to the woman who asked for just water and fruit and it was a simple order. She heard the light bell from Sam signaling some wood was done. "I will be back with your order in just a few," she said lightly as she moved back to the bar. Though not soon after she was stopped by a woman asking for a glass of blood. She seemed tensed asking such a thing, Akida just smiled at the woman. "Of course you may have a glass of blood, in fact to not let anyone be really against this. We have made sure the blood we buy is from willing people. So please take a seat and I will be right with you."

She also noticed her tavern seemed to be getting rather full now, she didn't mind it was a good thing some times. She moved behind the bar once more as she wrote down orders for food, on a piece of parchment and set it on the table in the kitchen for Sam to do. She took the fish Sam had cooked looking around and smiled as she set it down in front of Destinova who had ordered it. "Enjoy," she said as she began to make the drinks quickly. First taking a glass and taking a bag of chilled blood, she emptied some of it into a glass. She set that on the counter top of the bar, moving over as she filled another glass full of water.

Sam looked at all the order and decided to do all the easy ones first, which the first one was the bowl of fruit. She grabbed a bowl from a cupboard and hummed a little as she opened a small box that didn't have much ice in it as an icebox. It was for the fruit she took out grapes, apples, peaches, banana’s, and kiwi. She filled the bowl full of the fruits and soon brought it to the table ringing the bell.

This was once again a signal for Akida that an order was done, she used a plate square board. She set the fruit on it along with the drinks, making her way through and to give the orders to the two women. First handing the bowl of fruit and water to the seated woman. "That will be 5 Ren, and for you lady that will also be 5 Ren." She decided also to make a light conversation with the two women. "So have you two madams heard of a strange missing person lately around Tiranoc."

Senzei sat back, and watched the newcomers enter the tavern. His manner was relaxed, almost apathetic, but if you were to look into his large eyes, you would see otherwise. They were constantly bright and alert, taking in the new sights of the room, eyeing up the new entrants, and always, always darting to his satchel, ensuring it was still there, out of harms way.

He’d been mildly amusedby Dag's response to his 'big breasted women' request, and so decided to pursue conversation with the old man once more, aiming perhaps to make a new friend. He was grateful for the room list, and delved into his pocket for some coins to pay for his stay. He was not yet tired, but he knew the comfort of a sure place to sleep, rather than the insecurity of no fixed abode. He wasn’t about to have another night like that.

Shifting seats along the bar, he sat down next to the other occupants of the bar stools, and greeted them with a cheery smile. He’d overheard one man speaking of opening a new blacksmith shop in the town, and wondered vaguely whether he could find work there. He was a skilled artist, and this was transferable to many other skilled work forms. Setting this thought aside for the moment, he leaned forward, and winked at Dag, trying to grab his attention.

Dag caught the young mans advances for attention, and so he gave it.

"What will it be?"

He asked appearing infront of the man, behind the bar. He stood looking at the fellow, and began to notice many feminine qualities about him. He was curious to know more of this mans travels.

Karsa looked at Akida politely and took out her change pouch. Jumbling around for a second, she produced the 5 rin and handed it over to the waitress.

"Thank you, but sadly no I haven't heard of any strange disappernces, I'm quite new to Tiranoc."

*he ate swiftly then rose to his feet, looking for the waitress he carried his plate with him for the moment when finally he found the busy person he asked inquizitivly*

M'Lady, might I lend you a hand, I would happily help take the load from your shoulders, it seems you have tired yourself... I can take the plates into the back and wash them if you wish

Familiar scents filled his sensitive nostrils, scents of blood, food, water..the different scents, and smells from the various patrons and staff's genetic make-up, their true, natural smells..He would be quick to indentify the Vampyric maiden, as well as the familiar scent of the man in search of said big breasted women, as well as the old man from before, whom gave him the glass of water.

Lowering his viola's case to rest against his leg, having taken a seat by the Vampyric woman, something of a gentle smile would form amongst pale lips, glittering jade hues flickering brighter than any moon, or sun ever could.

Truly..it had been such a long time since he had felt at peace..he had spent so long running..trying best he could to repent for all the blood which he had spilled just with his own two hands..The adept warrior turned musician and smithy having found himself a potential home, he would soon allow his head to fall fowards, resting his chin upon the table, an almost delighted sigh soon to break through his lips.

Karsa's eyes glittered as she observed her surroundings. The smells were slightly comforting, and she could feel at home in this small little tavern.

Her smile slightly grew bigger as she noticed the strange man sit next to her. She knew something was different but decided not to ask about it. However, she thought, would an introduction hurt?

" Hello, My dear, My name is Karsa."

Slowly, his head would lift, glittering jade hues turning about to directly lock upon the young maiden's own hues, something of a mild scarlet coming about his cheeks, and the bridge of his nose, a soft, yet shy smile given, gentle notes falling from pink lips in the form of an introduction: "Hello..my name is Damon..it is a pleasure to meet you, my lady.."

It was quite in Tiranoc, almost to a point of it being eerie. Then from outside of the doors you could hear a person running, then the doors fly open. A young man in royal garb came barging in. He was panting and began to sweat. He then regained his composure and presented himself with a bow. He then belted out,

"I am Gen, royal messanger from Castle Tiranoc bearing a notice of dire importance from king Aazh himself. His son Von, prince of Tianoc has gone missing. Every citizen is required to meet at the castle gates. There we will set groups to search for him, he disappeared just this morning so he could have not gotten far. Again, please report to the castle gates where you will placed in groups. Thank you."

He then graced the room with another bow and ran back outside.

As soon as Senzei had heard the urgent, pounding footsteps approaching the tavern, his ears had pricked up, his attention focused on the coming event. He knew something was going on - his Lycanthropic senses had been tingling for the last couple of hours, though he tried hard to suppress it with the beers he’d gradually been downing through the evening.

As the door flew open, he immediately rose to his feet, his hands reaching instinctively for his daggers. His eyes flamed, the Lycanthrope blood in his veins racing, his hackles rising.

As soon as he saw the man was dressed in royal garb, he relaxed - he himself was a servant of the King, even if his squad had been disbanded during this ‘peaceful time’. But this lead to further questions about what a royal official was doing here, at such a late hour.

Whilst the messenger caught his breath, Senzei settled back in his chair, removing his hand from the hilt of one of his daggers, and breathing slowly, and listened. As the message was relayed, Senzei’s eyes widened, and he leaned forward, taking in the information.

As the message came to an end, and the young man left the tavern as quickly as he had entered, Senzei grabbed his satchel, and winked at Dag.

“I have a feeling my…talents….will be needed quite urgently. I’ll be needed at the gates, to help put the citizens into groups. Good evening sir. I still want that room.”

With a nod to the other patrons, Senzei was out the door, his powerful muscles rippling as he went. The night’s air was crisp and fresh, and he breathed it in hungrily. His Lycanthrope senses, though not at their peak in his human form, were still sensitive enough to catch the smell of unrest on the wind. Times were changing.

He headed through the darkened alleys of the town, until he came upon the hulking, silhouetted mass that was the town’s castle…
PostPosted: Thu Nov 09, 2006 8:39 am

Not even a second could have passed, before the young man was up and on his feet, taking hold of his staff, and viola case, instantly darting out of the bar, and through the alley, often slipping through crowds of people with a strange ease, and fluidity..it was so strange how he moved, really..

Upon seeing a group of people in his way, his pace would increase, before his staff would thrust down, the weapon's upper portion bending back, before snapping foward in almost a spring effect, the young man easily clearing the groups of people, before he would land upon the ground with a mild roll, only to continue running, spinning his staff to tuck it against his armpit, and side.

Karsa chuckled quietly to herself and got up quickly. Heading towards the door she followed the footsteps of so many before her and listened to the long range of noise before her.

Her pace quickened as she heard the distressed voices at the castle gates. As she got closer, she noticed the clusters of people separating into small groups.
She reached down and unlocked the small sheath on her side. Pulling out a small double edged dagger, she nodded and put it back.

She felt as if she could help so she was ready.
