Ah, you're right, Kitoku! Wallace Shawn is Rex, isn't he? I never placed him before, but now I hear it! (I did recognize him right away in The Incredibles, though. I half expected his character to exclaim "inconcievable!" Hee hee.)
More thoughts...
I love the character names. "Mode" is the French word for "fashion". Rather befitting to the designer for the superhero stars, non? "Syndrome" is a partial homynym with "sin". Pretty clever for a villain. Dash is speedy, and Violet is shy. Lucius Best (Frozone's secret identity) sounds like "luscious best", which sums up his character pretty well.
I can't wait for the outtakes. I didn't see any hidden jokes, but then I never look for that stuff the first time through any movie. Well...except for The Ring. All I did with that movie was look for hidden stuff. Fun, fun. But I digress.

Ditto on the 'Inconcievable.' As soon as I heard the voice, I was almost waiting for him to say it. biggrin
Nice rundown of the character names. particularly Syndrome and Violet...those were two I couldn't figure out.
Also, their last name is Parr...and the dad's name, Bob Parr, sounded to me like 'above par.' An interesting play on words for a superhero. Any thoughts on Helen (Elastigirl) or Jack Jack?

Yes, I was thinking that Parr was some kind of pun on the word "par". Bob Parr--'Bove Par? Hmm...That might be it. I've been driving myself crazy trying to figure it out. Same with Helen and Jack-Jack. I haven't come up with any name puns there yet. Or with Gilbert Huph or Muriel Hogenson (the little old lady.)

Nialla TaiBaiWong It was great and now it will definatly be a good race for The Oscarsnext year between Dreamworks,Pixar, and Blue Sky(Robin Williams RETURN!) I think it will be a tight race between the Incredibles and Shrek 2 for the Oscar. What is Blue Sky? Anyways, I loved the Incredibles. Such a clever movie. Blue Sky made Ice Age what was it....2 years ago there best work was the animated short bunny And yes it will be tight but I think sadly disney won't get it Sorry folks that's my opinion

I haven't seen shrek 2, but while the first shrek was entertaining, it didn't impress me. That's why I say Incredibles will win. From the commercials alone, it looks like the graphics are above and beyond shrek's caliber, and the story seems much more enjoyable.
Or maybe I just hate Mike Meyers.

Kitoku Hime I haven't seen shrek 2, but while the first shrek was entertaining, it didn't impress me. That's why I say Incredibles will win. Actually between the first and second Shrek film the graphics really improved. It was quite impressive considering that the first movie was quite good. I still LOVE the way the did the hair in the Incredibles. It was the best of graphics in both movies, in my opinion. As for story...I really don't know which I enjoyed better. Incredibles was a little more my sense of humour, much more subtle. And I also loved the dramatic elements of the film. I can't wait for this one to come out on DVD! Even so I thought Shrek 2 was a lot of fun and it made me laugh out loud a few times. Have to give credit where it's due.

I saw it yesterday, and I must agree with you, Miru-san, Jack Jack is pretty cute. And surprising at the end. ^-^ A really funny movie, I especially liked Mirage and Violet (especially at the end). 3nodding Yay Disney.

I finally got to see the movie today, although I was forced to watch The Punisher before getting to see it but that movie was good too. Have to say that I enjoyed The Incredibles. Adding this to my DVDs to buy list. whee
As for favorite character... hmm, I'm rather torn on that point. I rather like Edna though, she amuses me.

During my highschool's musical we have to give secret gifts to one other cast member. My friend Ashley gave me a talking Edna doll. It gives you fashion tips, but mostly insults what you're wearing. It's really funny to listen to all her angry banter.

I'm in complete agreement that "Jack-Jack Attack" alone is worth the price of the DVD. X) That and the, uh...."Secret Files." Muah hah hah hah!
......"You are as weak and falliable as your system of government!" XD
I figured out Gilbert Huph's name pun. I had to wait until the DVD, so that I could hear it said aloud again. It's a homonym with "huff". As in "In a huff", to mean "upset". Also, Syndrome's secret island is named "Nomanisan". You know..." no man is an island". It goes along with that whole "I work alone" thing. Muah hah. Figured out Jack-Jack, too. It goes along with the phrase "Jack of all trades, master of none." He changes into all kinds of different things, but as a baby he's not in full mastery of his powers. ^_^
