Dylan cast a curious look back as he watched Patch secure all the ropes he had already checked. He chuckled and smiled, but rather than follow her back down to the deck, he decided he was going to try and linger up here for a while.
The sea breeze was so different to the limp air that smothered the port, and he felt as though it was blowing all of his troubles and ill-feelings away.

Patch didn't like being left alone and prefured company more than loneliness and when she noticed that Dylan was still up there she quickly looked around for Joseph before climbing skillfully back up the ropes and stood next to Dylan silently again, letting him to start a chat or just stay silent even if she hated it.

Redbeard grinned "ye go ahead lassie we're pretty safe nout much has ever come up against the obsidian and survived. he grinned as they rounded the great cove and at last they were out ont he open seas. A twinkle came to the old cats eye and he smierked, he knew exactly where he was takign these new recruits, he had seen the place only once before but many ledgends hoverd around the island and it's tiny neibours, it would be a great adventure indeed on the open waves.

Dylan was just resting his head back on a mast when he noticed Patch just next to him. He started, nearly losing his balance and grip! He scrambled to get a new hold of the rigging, his frail tail lashing about.

"Arrggh, you made me jump," he chuckled, although his face was pale in fright from nearly plummeting to the deck below.

Patches tail flicked behind her as Dylan spoke and then she answered herself, "I have a talent of a silent paw, I'm used to trying to save cats who nearly fall off cliffs or masts" she said with a small, mysterious smile playing on her lips and the spoke again, in a small whisper, "your face. . . whitened. . ." .

Kiori climbed down out of the rigging. The ship was headed out to sea. Such fun, she thought. She leaned over the side, but no so far as she might fall overboard. The waves churned beneath the ship, and the salty spray stung her nose. The sea, it was so beautiful, more so no that she had found a ship to sail with.

Joseph was busy swabbin' the deck, looking out at the open seas, the salty sea air clearing his lungs out and made him smile more before he thought of his dad, he would be so proud to see him like this, filling out his promise.
His smile dimished slightly at the memories of being there at the gallows to watch his father being executed and he quickly wne back to washing the deck with his mop, her golden ear ring tinkling as his ear twitched.

Redbeard pulled a strange contraption from his picket and laid it accross the wheel so that the wheel stayed straight. He smirked, he liked the ship to steer itself and little contraptions like that certainly mad it easier. He pulls a dog end cigerette form behinsd his ear and leans against a mast lighting the f** he smirks blowing a soft plume of smoke in to the air. He stood once again and started to walk accross the deck inspecting his new crew, they were a raggedy lot, quite alot of youngsters on their maiden viyege. He paused and raiserd a brow at keesa, he never did beleive it was bad luck to have women abord especially when they looked like that. He laughed to himself and plodded on until he was at the very tip of the ship over looking the great flowing waters that the obsidian cut through like a hot knife through butter.

His one dark eye glimmerd reflecting the seas greens and blues "aye me hearties I be comin' back to ye mah dears i hope ye be a waitin'" he mutters to himself nothing mbut a smirk playing on his dark, fairly old features, redbeard was no spring chicken but he had plenty of spring still in his step.

"Yeah...well...your face would be white too if you nearly fell to your death," he chuckled, steadying himself now.

He looked at the decks below, watching all the other cabin crew get to work on washing and scrubbing.

"I don't much care for scrubbin' and cleanin' stuff, do you?" he said, grimacing at the thought of having to slide back down to the deck and pick up a mop. "A lot more fun to just watch others do it." He laughed.

Joseph watched Dylan before blinking and going back to scrubbing, the thought of his father had put him in a rather dank mood now as his ears drooped slightly.
"I supposin' so..." He muttered softly, not really paying much attention to him as he continued to wash the deck.

Patch looked down at Joseph and waved, she was a lazy kitty but watching her friends do all the dirty jobs made her feel guilty, but at least she wasn't the only one lazing around. Patch gave a careless shrugg as she answered, "depends on who's doing the scubbing, but most of the time I prefure to stay out of the way" she said and then added to his 'white face' answer, "cats have four paws, they land on them and down fall to death. . ." she said.

Purange finished his first tune and paused for a moment to take in the view of port as they pulled away. deeply breathing in the salty sea air, he wondered if he would start to miss the sight of land. Tapping his bow on his lip for a while thinking. He lit up and started to sing along to an island made completely of honey and barley.
Leaping up from the barrels without breaking the tune he began to dance around the cabin boys and girls as they worked. Stopping his singing as the song came to an end, he continued the tune on as he wandered the deck to talk to some workers as he played.
By one small cabin cat he stopped tapping his foot with the tune, he sat on some crates near the cat, continuing with the ditty.
'Why so sad?, This is the start of a great adventure. On the 'Obsidian' no less, this would surely make most cats your age could only dream of. Yet you look so glum. Whats troubling you're mind?
stopping the current tune Purange qwickly switched to a new one.A very popular sea song about pirate cats overpowering the dog navy.
Without singing Purange looked to the young cat for a reply with a smile.

"Yes, I know cats land on all four paws, but that doesn't mean they land safely," he chuckled, cocking an eyebrow. "Give me the water any day."

Dylan was unusual for a cat, as he actually liked the water, and wasn't afraid to get thrown overboard. He cast a look down to the deck, relieved that the Captain had yet to see them relaxing on the rigging.

"Ugh, I suppose we'd get down there and do come cleanin'" Dylan sighed heavily, sliding down the mast pole and landing with a quiet thud on the deck.

Patch gave a smirk as Dylan spoke of the water, she prefured land more but it didn't mean she was a bad swimmer, it was quite the opposite even if she never showed it, because other cats said it was dog work. Patch suddenly just jumped off from the rigging and after a quick fall landed on all fours without the slightest sound and straighted up, ready for new orders.
