Skyeheart
(But if Yawgmoth starts again, that would reach a point where Skye's wrist would be level again because Yawgmoth's position now matched Skye's. Skyeheart would then pull forward to stop the motion, then proceed with throwing. No matter how hard you look at it, Yawgmoth and Skyeheart's hands will be leveled out at some point in the second motion.

Heh, look at us, the ultimate debate team competitors.)
((OOC: Leveling doesn't matter. It can be level and still twisted and the muscles will pull when Skye tries to throw but lock up. You try twisting your arm and then throwing a baseball the right way. You can't do it. because your arm won't bend the way your mind wants it to to throw the object. The same principal applies here. The arm might be level. But its twisted restricting its motion. Because of this functionality, Skye will not be able to lift Yawgmoth and will finally have his arm twisted near the point of breaking))
PostPosted: Thu Sep 28, 2006 12:48 pm

(Skyeheart can still stop the twisting though by pulling Yawgmoth's arm before he preps for throwing, therefore making his muscles tenser than Skyeheart's. Even if a rubber band is stronger than another, if more tense, it will snap before the weaker one does.
So Skyeheart may fail to throw Yawgmoth, but Yawgmoth will risk snapping his own wrist off because he puts too much strain on it, much more than he puts on Skyeheart's arm because Yawgmoth's wrist is directly connected to his muscles which are being pulled to their limits, and therefore have no choice but to transfer the excess tension to the bones and joints around the wrist.
And before you comment on the same strain Skyeheart gets, remember this: Skyeheart is bigger and heaver than Yawgmoth, and therefore has more muscle mass around his arm, allowing him to endure more stress and tension.)

((OOC: Wrong. Skye might be taller but for Yawgmoth to weigh almost 300 pounds, and have ZERO body fat that means his muscles are far greater in size than Skyes. Not to mention you've contradicted yourself. If Skye WERE bigger in muscle mass on his arm than Yawgmoth then the rubber band example would be in place and because his arm would be in twist the tension would be greater therefore attempting to throw Yawgmoth would snap it. Before Yawgmoth's wrist did. Now then, since you have no weight listed for Skye just a height of almost 7 foot. We will assume, because I listed Yawgmoth's weight and the fact that he has NO body fat, that he has larger muscles for his size than skye does making him stronger in tension strength. I've already been through the example. And as I said, you have no room for arguement. The points you bring up now are only somewhat relevant to the current situation. If skye pulls his arm towards him (since thats the only pull direction) thats pulling motion backwards when the twisting motion is circular motion on another 'plane' if you will and remains unaffected by the motion of pulling or pushing on the arm. Not to mention if Yawgmoth begins to twist and then skye pulls on Yawgmoth's arm with the arm he's holding onto that situation ends worse for Skye who's then pulling AND getting his arm twisted making the muscles lock up. Since they can't tense to pull such a mass AND be in a state of rotational motion at the same time. This will happen way before Yawgmoth's wrist gets out. And note: Now that I've looked back Yawgmoth used his body movement WITH the wrist to cause the twist and so there's a lot less tension on his wrist then you're assuming there is because his body is also partly helping therefore making it so he doesn't have to bend his wrist at odd angles to perform said action. Skyeheart might be bigger, but as far as muscle mass goes Yawgmoth has more per pound than Skye))

(yeah? Well I can still do this! razz )
Skyeheart, realizing he didn't have enough of a advantage standpoint to try a move as throwing now, made one last move before his Yawgmoth could twist his wrist, he let go. To be more exact, he loosened his gauntlet by untensing his claw. The sweat would help lubricate the motion too. His hand slipped right out, leaving Yawgmoth to grip only the glove.
Now Skyeheart could use the same tactic Yawgmoth used when his lost his axe. Yawgmoth would lose balence because of the sudden change in weight he was moving, so Skyeheart pushed forward and tackled Yawgmoth at the exact same place he hit him last time, on the shoulderblade. Even if the impact didn't cause enough damage, the vibration would wear down the bone and eventually cause it to break.
(And for the record, if I had put Skyeheart's weight in his bio, which I will do now, he would weight almost a metric ton being that dragon muscle is so much heavier! And another thing, most reptiles have body compositions with less than 10% body fat. Dragonewts are no exception.)

((yeah, but. I'd like to point out he can't have any reptile like qualities in this division. That's superhuman. Can't be a reptile irl can you? Then you can't be one here.))

Skyeheart's plan had only one flaw and that was that Yawgmoth was already falling backwards from the sudden weight shift when skye made the tackle. Hitting the ground hard the dark king grew frustrated at Skye's display. But Yawgmoth had one slight advantage that he decided to use, the gauntlet. Gripping it still in his hand he smashed it over the back of skyeheart's head. Given that skye had just tackled him to the ground, rather, 'helped him fall faster' it would be easy to bash it into his helm from behind without Skye knowing it was coming. Yawgmoth hoped it would disorient him long enough to at least get him off and allow Yawgmoth to catch is breath.

(I know. But Skyeheart would still be heavier. Just saying...)
Poor Yawgmoth though, he was in for an unpleasent surprise. When the gauntlet came down and connected, he heard a small click. Suddenly, the gauntlet opened up two slits.
Clicking? Slits?
OH NO! Skyeheart's gauntlets didn't just double as a shield, they tripled as a hidden arrow launcher!
Two small. steel arrowheads built for piercing armor shot right out at Yawgmoth's eyes, and at the speed they were launched, and at how close Yawgmoth's head was, there was no way for him to block or evade in time.
(Pretty clever huh?)

(not as clever as this)

Of course there was no time to dodge but the suprise was on Skyeheart. Seeing as Yawgmoth had hit HIM in the back of the head with it. The arrows would fire on the closest thing, and since skye tackled yawgmoth the closest thing...was skye's very own head. The arrows would pierce through his helm and impale his skull. The match was done.

((They can't shoot at Yawgmoth's eyes if skye takles him at the shoulder and knocks him down that puts skyes head at Yawgmoth's chest and skye's helm would be in the way for two. Not to mention bashing skye in the head caused the click so they're going to fire that way. And they would aim for Yawgmoth's chest if they went straight down and finally even if Yawgmoth cannot dodge he can still simply turn the gauntlets in his wrist quickly enough to have them fire down at Skyes head. Game over))

(*Sigh* I can tell I was not specific enough again. Or in your case, you misjudged our position. Do you actually think I'm stupid? Skyeheart isn't on top of Yawgmoth, he's on his side! Let me explain.
Skyeheart tackled Yawgmoth on his shoulder, that would mean he didn't land on his chest, when they landed, Skyeheart would have moved to the side from the impact, not rolled over on his chest. It's like if you drop a ball on the side of a hill and not the top, it's rolls down the slope. That's flaw one in your reasoning, flaw two is that you never mentioned in what position Yawgmoth hit Skyeheart with, so I confirmed it would have the gauntlet pointing at you being that would be how it was if you reached over and hit Skyeheart just as you pulled the glove out of his hand. Skyeheart's head is not in the way, it's to the side of Yawgmoth's head, that puts his eyes in range, and makes it impossible for Skyeheart to be in the way. Basiclly picture them in this position: Skyeheart hit Yawgmoth on the side as Yawgmoth falls, the impact will turn Yawmoth to the side while Skyeheart lands right next to him. With Yawgmoth on his side, one arm is unusable at the moment while his free hand holds the gauntlet, which is pointed at him like a punch would be. He slams the gauntlet down, placing it on Skyeheart's head, the slits open up from the top and fire at Yawgmoth's head. The arrows won't aim at Skye's head unless they opened up from the bottom of the glove which they didn't.
And another thing, Yawgmoth could not turn the glove in time, that would be superhuman reflexes, do you know how fast a launching mechanism is? The average sneeze travels more than 200mph at starting velocity, and that's just naturally. The arrows are going at least over 500mph as soon as Yawgmoth hears the click. And you're what, 12 inches away?
Sorry Yawgmoth, Skyeheart is not in the way and you're taking the blow no ifs ands or buts. Just be thankful they didn't aim for your neck.)

((OOC: And here's where you lose. Ever seen football? you tackled him at the shoulder. That doesn't mean he's going to land on his side that mean's going to go down at that angle. he will still land on his back just that side first. All it takes is for him to lay the other side of his body down. Easy when skye falls ontop of him from a tackle and his weight does that for
him. As with every tackle the person getting tackled and the tackler NEVER land so their heads are even. So that would but them like this

- ___o _____o
the Os are their heads

given that situation bashing skye over the head with the gauntlet would cause the arrows to shoot forward missing both. Because to hit Yawgmoth in the eyes they'd have to go arcing downard. Not to mention I never said which way Yawgmoth was holding the gauntlet you've assumed. After the gauntlet slips off of Skyes arm Yawgmoth could and would have easily repositioned the gauntlet to smash Skye's head with a side of it, not the fist part. This is the most logical reasoning to approach because it hits more of skyes head and isnt focused on a single point of impact that could be where the helm skye wears is the strongest. Yawgmoth wouldnt take that risk and to get someone off of you you'd want to him them in a manner that you know would do some damage and not change hitting them with a pinpointed strike that can very well be asborbed by armor. Lastly, the arrow's have to be contained in something like gun barrels or they wouldn't be able to fire as fast as you said. The MOMENT yawgmoth sees gun barrels he'd just start turning the gauntlet. A simple flick of the wrist is not superhuman and the gauntlet would have to finish its 'transformation' before firing the arrows. It's simple thinking on his part. "Gun barrels oh s**t *starts turning barrels to sky while gauntlet finishes the last few ticks of transformation*" and by the time they fire they launch downward at Skye's head. And if you say they're not contained in barrels then I'm just going to laugh at you because with some barrel type mechanism they can't fire that fast. It's once again, simple physics. So you can either take that death or agree that to shoot Yawgmoth at all they'd have to go in a downward arc due to the way they fell ontop of one another and that arc wouldnt start occuring until they ran out of velocity which if they're fired that fast wouldn't be for a very long time and a very long range. Now, since you're likely going to take scenerio B. That means it'll be your post since you just got bashed in the skull with a hard mythril gauntlet and hadn't posted Skye's reaction to the damage just the gauntlets reaction to being hit on a spot which made its open.))

(I got a better idea, how about choice C?)
The split-second Skyeheart heard the click, he twisted his head sideways and lifted, using the new dent in his helm to force Yawgmoth's hand to lift and point the guantlet directly at his face. Yawgmoth could only change direction once before the the arrows fired, and because of Skyeheart's movement that forced his hand into an even worse position, he wasted that chance.
(If Yawgmoth gets a chance to react, Skyeheart does too. Hope you packed your white cane.)

The problem? Skyeheart just got beat in the skull with a mythril gauntlet by a man with incredible upper body strength. You don't regain your focus that fast. Yawgmoth had dented the helm with such a blow and with such an impact Skye would either be unconcious from a concussion or dazed from being whacked. The bolts fired downard at Skyeheart's head as per Yawgmoth's wrist turn. Breaking through the already dented armor since they were armor piercing and impaling Skyeheart's skull. The battle was over.

((Skyeheart has no reaction time. He just got bashed in the skull. By posting that yawgmoth dented the helm AND that the gauntlet click you've accepted the hit. Suffered the consequences and died. It doesn't matter what kind of helm he's wearing you don't get your focus back THAT fast. The arrow's, as you have already said yourself, fire too fast. A flick of the wrist is one thing, gaining your head back after being bashed in the back of it is completly another.))

(The dent signifies that the helm took almost all the blow so Skyeheart would still have a reaction, it a matter of force distribution. Because the helm took most of the energy out of the blow, the impact wouldn't be enough to stun Skyeheart. The helmet acts like a cushion or airbag. Even if Skyeheart couldn't lift his head in time, he would still be able to turn his head and divert the arrows since a turn of the head is the same as a flick of the wrist(Don't deny it, it's true). It won't hit Yawgmoth's eyes because of that, but it will still allow Skye to avoid the hit.)

((Counter arguementum: Football players wear helments. When there's helmet to helmet contact players till get concussions. The helmets are made of the same material. And they don't even dent. Why does this matter? Mythril gauntlet. Mythril helm. Both objects made of the same materials. Just like the football helmets. The gauntlet smashed IN the helm. That's enough force for a concussion. There can be no superhuman resistance to physical head damage with such a force. You can't out argue that point. So there's no way skye can regain his head from going off to looney toon land fast enough to stop the arrows. There's zero wiggle room for you here. The brain won't respond fast enough to commands when its dazed from concussive forces. Meaning skye can't turn his head. The arrows fire. he dies.))
PostPosted: Tue Oct 03, 2006 6:40 am

(Closeing Statement: Even dazed, the brain can still control movement. Involuratary spasms are possible and even more common semi-conciously. So let's agree on this. A quick spasm from Skyeheart's body caused by the impact jostles the gauntlet so that the arrows aim in an arc. No one gets hit. Now let's move on.)
Shaken, but not internally damaged, Skyeheart regains his full senses and swings his arm overhead and brings it down on Yawgmoth's elbow joint. It would now be Yawgmoth who would have a broken arm instead.

((Possible yes. But not as fast as the arrows would fire based on YOUR OWN statement. And even if skye's head spasmed that wouldn't move the arrows completly off kilter. They'd still fire in time to impale his head. Maybe not dead center coming through the back of the head and protruding out of the eyes but enough to kill a man dead. You've backed yourself in a corner with that and the match is over. There's no more to argue.))
