A book of epic proportions. A book that will set forth the standards at which all life should apply. It will have all that is great in it. His book will be perfect...sort of.

Gotta do SOMETHING to occupy my mind... Actually Christophe... I plan on starting up again like... this weekend maybe... give me your e-mail and I'll send it to you as I complete it... and don't worry about the names... they'll all change... I'm just using them to remind me who's who.

Hello hello. I know I haven't been very active lately, for reasons that are my own. I have wrote a couple of things. I have been somewhat depressed lately, so please do forgive the morbid tone. I did write a ballad for my english 4 class, but I don't really like it.

I have no love to share,
No hand to hold of a lady fair.

Lonliness is my real traveling friend,
And Time tells me Lonliness is mine forever.
Death be not swift for me,
A one in misery.

I will put down the ballad in a different post sometime.

The ballad was forced on me. We had to do one for Honors English 4. I might put it in here sometime, I just don't feel like it right now.
Thank you for your compliments though. The ballad format we had to use was simple though

--1st and 3rd lines have 4 stressed syllables.
--2nd and 4th lines have 3 stressed syllables.
--2nd and 4th lines rhyme.
--We had to use dialog to move the story along.
--We had to use a sad event to make the ballad(murder, dramatic sad event, etc.)
--edit: We also had to use repetition of lines.

I don't like working with structure though. I think it worked out ok. The title for it is "The Second Holocaust."

One, I really like the poem you posted... only one problem... I don't know why... it just doesn't seem to flow... but I really like your wording. Secondly, I want to read this ballad... it's title has that Chris Worley feel.

It has no apparent flow, you are right about that. The only flow that I see is in its content. It is sorrow. Enough of that though. This ballad is funny in its irony really. I'll go ahead and post it in the entry after this one.

Here goes the ballad:

THE SECOND HOLOCAUST

The blood has ran into the ground,
Here a mother has said,
"I will never see her grow up,
She was shot in the head."

The blood has ran into the ground,
And here comes the shouting,
"Can our nations not be at peace?
Why die at our outing?"

The blood has ran into the ground,
Israel has now announced,
"They attacked first so we fought back,"
Is that why they were pounced?

The blood has ran into the ground,
White phosphorous, the pain,
Lebanon has now said that it,
"Falls like a great fine rain."

The blood has ran into the ground,
A new holocaust now,
Chaos rules and death reaps his due.
A new injustice, how?

As I have told Dante, this was forced on me, and I was rushed to meet a crappy deadline. I had no real time for my usual technique, so do excuse it for being "eh" at best. Best thing to me about it is the irony in it.

I like it a lot. Love the meaning behind it also. And ahh, yes. The irony.

For something forced and hurried, it's very good, Kharne.

You think so? Eh, I wish I had more time to let it set back and boil.
