Argh! I'm supposed to choose? I'm stuck between Talons, Genesis, Pyramids, and the Deadly Assassin (especially the whole, its the matrix twenty years before the matrix thing)

And don't dis Micky. I love Micky, probably because if I were a character in the show I'd be Micky (or Arthur the horse, or dead extra #33)

I like Mickey, too. Mickey was loyal, dependable, and a good friend. He was a fine companion for the Doctor, and he really cared about Rose. But he was also a realist, and knew that he was needed elsewhere.

Difficult to choose, I would say probably City of Death or Terror of the Zygons.

At one point they were considering a Jago-Litefoot spinoff series, a comical variation on Sherlock Holmes, perhaps. But it fell through, unlike some of the current spinoffs.

This is going to sound stupid, but I'm a huge fan of "The Pirate Planet". It's wacky and creative.... A hollow planet that teleports itself around smaller planets, and plunders the resources of the planet trapped within. BRILLIANT!

I once made a long list of the various Hollywood offerings from the past which clearly inspired almost all of the 4th Doctor stories:

Robot = King Kong and several Cold War flicks
The Ark in Space = I saw a B-movie like this, but forget the title.
The Sontaran Experiment = more Cold War epics
Genesis of the Daleks = They Saved Hitler's Brain
Revenge of the Cyberman = Every conquistador movie ever made
Terror of the Zygons = Invasion of the Body Snatchers
Planet of Evil = Jeryll & Hyde and the Wolfman
Pyramids of Mars = Several curse of the Mummy's tomb films
The Android Invasion = Again, Invasion of the Body Snatchers
The Brain of Morbius = Frankenstein and She
The Seeds of Doom = The Thing, and "The Tick" borrowed heavily from this one for their stories about El Seed.
The Masque of Mandragora = The Masque of the Red Death
The Hand of fear = The Andromeda Strain
The Deadly Assassin = The Manchurian Candidate, and was the inspiration for the movie "Brainscan".
The Face of Evil = Zardoz
The Robots of Death = I, Robot back when it was just a book, not a movie
The Talons of Weng-Chiang = Fu Manchu, Sherlock Holmes, the Giant rat of Sumatra
Horror of Fang Rock = several haunted lighthouse films
The invisible Enemy = Fantastic Voyage
Image of the Fendahl = Curse of Demon
The Sunmakers = Metropolis
Underworld = Jason and the Golden Fleece
The Invasion of Time = Again, cold war epics, and had some influence on the "Judge Dredd" movie.
The Ribos Operation = Not sure about this one, but it does make me cold.
The Pirate Planet = Pirate films, what else?
The Stones of Blood = Druidic murders
The Androids of Tara = Prisoner of Zenda, The Great Race
The Power of Kroll = Creature from the Black Lagoon
The Armaggedon Factor = Thjere has to be one for this, but I'm not sure what it is.
Destiny of the Daleks = oh well, it's another Dalek story
City of Death = I can't remember the name of it, but there was anotrher time travel film like this.
The Creature From the Pit = Mighty Joe Young
Nightmare of Eden = Several old Titanic films
Horns of Nimon = The Minotaur
Shada = Not sure
The Leisure Hive = Several replication stories
Meglos = Not sure, but I love this silly story anyway.
Full Circle = I forget what the original source was, now
State of Decay = Dracula films
Warrior's Gate = Trans-dimensional stories, and has been borrowed since by others like Stargate
Logopolis = Someone once told me where this one came from, but I forget.
