Welcome to Gaia! ::

Wow, i'm so happy to have found a guild with Christians! Seeing as most of Gaians aren't, and it's hard to find them. But if you please, I would like to make a couple prayer requests, myself.

First off, my brother. He's fourteen ... Entering the oh-so-trecherous leg of the life-long journey known as teenage-hood. I won't go into detail, becuase for the last two years it's been a struggle day-to-day. He's not just your typical rebellious ... He's spoiled rotten, and knows how to manipulate his way around things, with either sweet-talk, or cold threats. For a while when I was left at home with him, he would pretty much become a beserker, and I would have to take the children into my room, lock it, and brace myself against the door while he ran rampant. Now he has a girlfriend, whom is the only person he even cares about (besides himself), which I suppose is a good thing in a way ... Someone to care about ... But he was just becoming better, and as soon as he became infatuated with her, everything went back downhill. It isn't as bad as before, physically-wise ... But ... Emotionally wise it's even worse. He refuses to do anything anyone tells him to do ... And my Mom and Dad have no idea what to do ... They've thought of sending him off to military school, and doing family counciling (our entire family needs it ...), but they've made no move to do anything. I'm worried sick, and cry myself to sleep over this sometimes ...

Another request I would like to make is for my friend Ethan, and my feelings towards him. He's everything i've looked for in a man ... Except for in the places that matter. He's not a Christian, and we couldn't be farther apart in our beliefs about religion and politics. Yet, he's really one of the sweetest people I have ever met, and one of the most talented and intelligent. But it tears me to peices that he isn't a Christian ... and every time I think to bring up the matter of the Bible, I get really nervous ... Then afterwards I regret backing out of it, becuase what if he died today, a non-believer? The one that I think I may be in love with would be suffering for eternity ... So please pray that somehow and someway that God would shine a light into his world, and open his eyes, and soften his heart to the Word of God.

Then there's the matter of my dear father ... He isn't a Christian, either. I fear i've not been a very good example as a Christian daughter should be, and i'm afraid I can't undo the damage i've already dealt out. He's my own Dad, and I can't think if anything to say ... He's too open minded, and none of the Christians in my family have been shining examples of Christianity to him. My Mom and him are constantly fighting over everything, I used to slip a whole lot (lately i've been doing good ...), my brother I think has become so lost that only Jesus could lead him back to the straight and narrow path ... And he doesn't see any of the other Christians in my family (I.E. Aunts, Uncles, cousins, in-laws) enough to wonder what is it in thier life that he needs, but doesn't have.

Lastly, for me and my own spiritual life. The last year and a half I have gone astray, and it's hard pulling myself back to the harsh and narrow pathway to a blessed eternity with Him.
