I love this movie! The hyenas are my favorite characters. I think that the sequel suffered tremendously for lack of hyena. The second was pretty good as far as sequels go, except for the lack of hyenas and addition of awful music.
I'm dying to see the musical on Broadway. Especially since Max Casalla (Racetrack Higgins, for any of you Newsies fans) is playing Timon....

Theres no better movie than this one. Its songs, most of Elton John, are the coolest.

I adore the lion king, I cry all the time wen Mufasa dies, so sad...poor little Simba.
My favourite characters are Simba, Zazu, Scar, Shenzi, Banzai and Ed and Timon. Love all ALL of the songs, especially "Can't wait ot be king' and "Be prepared"
amazing songs and so fun to sing along to and dance even! whee
I didn't much like Simba's Pride, I think they cud have made it better, but that's just me. Kovu was cute.
I thought Lion King 1/2 was really good, I laughed so much and I thought that it was clever that they managed to fit it in between the first film, but I thought it was also a bit rushed. But what the heck.
Lion King one will always be the best! its true its true whee 3nodding biggrin wink heart

Timon: "They're, uh...They're fireflies. Yeah, fireflies that got stuck in that big...bluish-black thing."
Pumbaa: "Oh. Geez. I always thought they were giant balls of gas burning billions of miles away."
Timon: "Pumbaa, with you, everything's gas."
Timon: Let me get this straight. You know him. He knows you. But she wants to eat him. And everybody's okay with this? WHAT'S GOING ON, HERE?!"
Zazu: "Excuse me, Madam, but...Get off!!"

I like the second lion king better than the first and I don't know why and I haven't seen Lion King 1 1/2 yet so i dont know about that one

UsagiBunny  So who here likes/loves the lion king? Who's your favorite character and what's your favorite scene? My favorite character is Rafiki and my favorite scene is when TTimon and Pumba do the luau to distract the hyenas 3nodding I also really like how they based it off Hamlet too 3nodding

I really love Nala. She's super awesome! ^^ I love Timon too..
And Timon's mom = heart heart heart surprised
I love TLK, TLK2 -and- TLK1.5/3 (depending on where you live X3).. They're all great, imo ^___^

I absolutely loved The Lion King the first time I saw it (I don't remember when, only that I loved it). My favorite songs are Circle of Life and I Just Can't Wait To Be King. I also love playing them on my keyboard (I have a huge book of the full versions of a lot of Disney songs). I have played them so much that the beginnings are stuck in my head. (You know, the really fun to hum part of I Just Can't Wait To Be King).

Heh, I'm a bit of a fanboy concerning The Lion King. My favorite song is "Can you Feel the Love Tonight." Of course I just like Elton John's music in general. n.n; Char would have to be Nala, because of that one little scene in the original where she shoots Simba this lion-ish, "trying to look sexy and pulling it off" type grin. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v91/kings_hand/FOBnr.gifIf anybody is in need of a Lion King FO banner, voila. The Lion King is definitely my favorite movie of all time. My favorite characters are Nala, Kovu, (young) Simba, Shenzi, and Sarabi (she didn't play a big part, but I still like her). I love "Circle of Life" from the first soundtrack, and it's a tie between "He Lives In You" and "Deception" on the second soundtrack. Yea, I have to admit that I shed a few tears when I saw Lion King in theatres during the part where Mufasa died. From what I've read, I'm not the only one. I have a stuffed animal of Simba, and I still sleep with him at night. (yes, I admit it) Guess I can't let go of my childhood, plus it gives me a sense of security...
