Serenity stopped walkeing once she found her sanctuary of the moonlit clearing, surrounded by dead, or black-leafed weaping willows. She stood in the middle and stared at the sky, whispering a little prayer for each of the un polluted stars lit up.

The willow was an old one, surprisingly the only live one in the grove. He sensed Serenity in the distance, but merely decided to keep himself unknown. Akran's mind began to wander again.

She sat down on the bare ground, a small round stone next to her. Picking it up, she made a game in her mind. If she could hit the knot on the tree, she would sing, if she missed, she would pray. PIcking it up in her slender small hand, she flicked her wrist and it sailed through the air, lodging itself in the tree trunk, right on the knot. Sighing, she leaned back on her palms, and began to sing softly the tune of Greensleeves, but the words were changed to her liking, and the tune a bit more melodicly evil.

Akran heard Serenity singing gently in the distance, her voice sounding sweet in the wind. "Hey there kid.." He says quietly in his gruff voice, just loud enough for her to hear.

Serenity looked up, deciding that although she had promised herself to sing, she hadn't said for how long. She nodded, her eyes looking to the ground and not bothering trying to see where he was. Chances are, he was the presence she had felt invading her aura in the tree that she had been living in lately. She hadn't mouthed a response, but she sat up a little straighter, and brushed the hair out of her face.

Akran hopped down from the tree and looked over at Serenity. "What brings you past these parts? This place... Do you know the ground on which you stand?" He inquired, laughing slightly.

((Yeah, A typo I hadn't fixed and noticed. His age was supposed to have a zero after it making him 1350. Makes more sense if you think about it sweatdrop ))

She glanced to the eerily still black pond, and then again to Akran. "Is there something I should know?" She refrained from telling him that she lived here, since that would be awkward later, and she bit her lip, as the chilling breeze did little to affect her already ice cold skin. But, it did pierce hre warm center, the part of her that argued against her ways, argued against her race, her hate, her coldness, even where she sat this moment. She hated the feeling of a small being to Akran, and she rose to her feet, her twinkling odd eyes meeting his almost dull lifeless blue eyes.

"This place is where the crystal of the city used to be.." Akran sighed. "I used to live here, right in the building that protected it.. Until I turned.." He walked over to a dead willow and sat down at the base of it, looking at the moon. "You could seriously reach your hand in the soil and pull out remnants.. So much history forgotten.. So many emotions that should not be if I'm to lead this scourge.."

"Oh." she barely managed to say, not having known that he would've been anything else besides rebellion, previous or now. She nodded, her human soul wishing to extend a comforting hand to him, and her loving instincts screaming for attention. "That I did not know. I.. I live here now." she said, pointing to the black leaved tree.

Akran chuckled slightly then pulled a stone from the ground. He looked at it for a moment then crushed it into dust, letting it blow in the wind. "I always knew it would happen... Between the Elves calling the Humans ignorant and the Humans calling the Elves arrogant, nobody watched The Wall save for a few noble high nights.. I fell last.." He trailed off. "That was some woman.. Didn't even see her trap.. Had me turned within the second night of the First Vampyric Siege.."

"Ah.." she said, remembering stories of the women who gathered and basked in their victories. She bit her lip, remembering such a story before. She looked again the the pond, wondering what was to come of her and her.. different.. ways of vampyrism. No one owuld approve of her yearn to love.
PostPosted: Mon Dec 18, 2006 5:19 pm

"So your heart aches for a free world.." Akran says bluntly looking over at the woman. "You love and have been loved and long to feel it again.. No, I'm no mind reader, I just saw it in your eyes when you were speaking earlier.. Why else do you think I was staring so intently?" He paused for a moment then laughed.

"Well, I won't lie.. You're a good looker. Most of the vamps are always gaunt and dead looking.. But I digress.. I can empathize with your long for peace, however things aren't that simple.. You try to love and you get hate back.. You aim for peace and they send burning-hot oil down your throat.." He looked her in the eyes with a look that said he had faced that path. "We don't really have a choice but to be hate-filled and dispise all that lives because if we don't we will never survive.."

"But what if the peace was for our own good. I don't want the happy-go-lucky city that we had, I want where the vampyres can rule. It could work if we had our heads in the right places." she said, looking shamefully to the ground, finding the compliment among his speech.

"If you say so." she said, standing, and walking over to the pond, playing with an orb of fire on her fingertips, while staring at the black abyss.

"Possibly.. Maybe it's possible.. But until we find a way, we have to hold up our front.." Akran's eyes narrowed and he looked into the distance. A lone vampyre was spying on them behind one of the dead willows. He lifted his gun and dropped the b*****d. "That means killing all who find out.."

"We, eh?" she said, wondering in what sense he had meant this, and tried to not let her mind wander. "We? Do you mean to say that we might be together in thsi front?" seh asked, ten the orb of fire grew, as she giggled internally at how that had come out. She hadn't meant it in such a way, but, she gained control again, slightly wondering how long since she had laughed out loud. Out of embarassment, or otherwise.
