//Okies Sosi - I shall continue to start my terrorising! And Epine was in Espionage, the biggest bid got her so yeah...She rocked as a chara. xd

Urgh, if there was one thing she hated it was introductions for it required talking and often an explanation as to what she actually was - whether it be occupation or species at least one person would always bring the topic of conversation up and she would be forced to elaborate upon it (they never did let it drop until she did) - it was therefore no surprise that after a few moments she stepped into the clearing a little more.

Her stance was stiff and somewhat uncomfortable given the situation but eventually she did not to her Rishlan (who sat up proudly) and began to speak, "As you know, I am Epine - however you have yet to meet one of my many companions." She motioned to the Rishlan before continuing, "Her name is Anathema."

Quinn prodded Zane with her foot, "This is Zane. He can be a little troublesome, but he mostly means well..."

Nodding at Kel and Epine, Quinn sat in soft bit of grass, tail curling around her.

Trelweny shot a glance of "behave or else" at her pets before introducing them. "I think all of you know I'm Trelweny. For those of you who haven't met them, the green cait is Locke. The red fox is his familiar, Shippou. The little blue-gray blur is a kunkun. I call it Tien."
Giving another glance around at the things she started muttering to herself. "I wonder how much of that I can fit into my bag..."

"I'm hoping Tien can help by looking where no one else will fit. Of course we'll have to try & translate its ramblings in kunkunese." Sighing she shakes her head, a silly grin touching her lips. "Tien knows English well enough. It just doesn't seem to like speaking much other than kunkunese."

Epine gave a nod to each as they introduced themselves and their companions - companions which seemed to have been uninvited but had come anyway. Nevertheless, shaking her head at the thought of the creeping creatures (for she did have a few who were just as stealthy) she made her way over to the piles of supplies and examiend each in turn...

They had just about everything within this pile bar the kitchen sink and needless to say, she sincerely doubted that all of it could be fit into those bags of holding that the group appeared to carry, she didn't even have bags of holding herself for she rarely carried supplies - "Are you sure this will all fit?" She enquired doubtfully.

Quinn yawned and curled tighter in her sleep. The morning air was chill and the fox-girl had grown used to sleeping indoors with a blanket. Rolling to her side, she burried her face into what she assumed was Zane's furry torso.

Her dozing mind took awhile to register the intermittent purring and growling that emminated from the fuzzy face warmer. Eyes blinking the sleep away, Quinn unstuck her tongue from the roof of her mouth and looked around blearily, trying to decide why she just didn't feel right.

Sosi asleep on the pile of supplies, Epine dozing against the trunk of a near-by tree, Zane growling at a large red cat thing, Kel curled up with her rishlan, Trel flopped over her pets... LARGE RED CAT THING?!

Quinn leaped up and away from the newcomer, with which she had only a moment before, been snuggling. "Cat C-Cat Cat," she stammered. "N-nice kitty... ZANE!" The orange Kanin glanced her way and then crept closer towards her, keeping his eye on the large crimson creature lying on the grass.

As Zane approached, the cat's eyes changed from placid to menacing and he began to emmanate a low growl. Hackles rising, he moved between Quinn and the ever nearing Zane.

Quinn's brow furrowed at the cat's strange behavior. It was almost like he was protecting her... Quickly, she surveyed the area again, noticed a basket that hadn't been by her pallet when she had fallen asleep. Peering at it, she could just see the edge of a tattered book peeking from under the cloth cover. She looked from the basket to the cat to the branch Sosi's avian friend was perched apon and back, realization coming fast.

Seeing Zane still trying to reach his master, she yelled, "Zane, sit! Its ok, boy. Just a misunderstanding." Trying to keep her voice soothing, she layed a hand on the cat's haunches, hoping she was right.

The cat-thing stopped growling as she touched it and looked back at her almost sheepishly. Remember what Sosi had indicated about her bird's intelligence, she wondered if the creature understood what was going on.

Slowly, Quinn made her way over to the basket. Pulling back the covering, she found two books like the ones Sosi had shown them and a note. Unfurling the roll of paper, she read:

Note from Atrus
Greetings!

I'm finally prepared enough to start sending teams into the Ages. Find a team of three to four trustworthy people to come with you ... and be certain to stay together, when exploring the Ages, at least in groups of two's. Several of the Ages are rather lethal, and with the disturbances as of late ... there may be earthquakes or other disasters during your time spent there, and it's imperative that you have a group in case one of your members is injured.

I have sent along two linking books, one to Myst Island, and another to Oceania.

I have rubbed the titles from these books, just in case, so be certain to memorize which is which. The brown, plain book is a linking book back to Myst Island, while the other more elaborate book is a linking book to Oceania, the first Age on your voyage. I have left my journal behind - you and Sosiqui will need to consult it to get a feel for the Age.

Link to Oceania first, but wait until Winterfalcon gives you a brief talk on what to expect and what to do if you get into trouble. Once there and settled, you may capture as many animals as you safely can. Find a safe place for the Myst linking book, away from prying eyes, and link back to Myst Island, where you'll find me ... I'll let you link to Ishtar, where you'll be staying and caring for your animals. I'll be sure to include a linking book to Gaia there, too, in case you ever wish to return home.

This large cat's name is N'rris. You may, however, call him what you want. Be warned - he is an intelligent being and will probably learn your language eventually. He'll be your guardian while you explore the Ages.

Please treat him with every courtesy you can. I must stress that he is not a pet, nor a wild creature. He will be your guardian over the next few weeks as we try to relocate the Ages' animal inhabitants to the new world.

Good luck.

Atrus

Hmmm. So Sosi and I are both meant to lead a team. That quiet's my doubts somewhat. Hopefully with her knowledge and my where-with-all, we will have a successful journey. Now, who to bring?

Quinn put a hand on her guide and he cocked his furry head at her and sneezed something that sounded very much like "N'rris", the name Atrus had given for him. Quinn grinned, scratched him under the chin, and said, "Quinn. Nice to meet you."

Patting the ground next to her, held out her hand for Zane while never taking her eyes from N'rris. "Friend," she told him.

Zane curled up on one side of her and N'rris on the other, each wary of the other's presence. It was shaky, but it was a start. Quinn pulled her notebook from her bag and set to writing notes to the few friends she meant to have join the small party.

Epine exchanged glances with Anathema as the second Guardian approached them and selected Quinny to bestow its gift upon, it seemed that every minute they remained in the grove their numbers were steadily growing and that could either be a very good thing or a very bad thing in the long run - the bad side was that it may cause conflict if disagreements occured but the good thing was that there were significantly more people to defend against attackers if worst came to worse.

"Hmm..." The woman murmured as she lifted up one of the ropes in the pile of supplies and examined it briefly to ensure that it was strong enough to support as many people as she was beginning to think were coming...

((bah. Theron hit a key that sent me back a page when I was about halfway through typing up my post so now I've got to do it all over again. *long sigh* oh well.
*giggles* I love the mental image of being flopped over my pets. Guess you should know their sizes.
Locke: about knee high, roughly 2 feet tall.
Shippou: not quite half the height of Locke; nearly 1 foot.
Tien: 5 inches.

I'll post an RP in a second. Need to feed Theron.))

Quinn finished writing and rolled up the piece of paper. Turning to N'rris, she explained, "This is for a friend of mine. I want you to take it to her and lead her back here. Got it?"

N'rris chuffed affirmatively and Quinn explained to him how to find Wyvern and sent him off, note held gently between his pointy teeth.
