Stealing back to this area, and leaving his substitutions to do the talking with Kage Tyrent, he marveled at his new headband. Finally, some sort of proof that he was a Genin, not some measly Academy Student! He now had to train to become a chunin.

Finding that it was the end of the day and that he had trained enough, he went to his condo to say goodnight to himself. It had been a long, but satisfying day. His last thoughts were on his headband. "Finally a Genin..."

The next day, Adrien woke up to an idea. "If I can control fire, that means I can control plasma... Which means I can control electricity." He already knew that fire did conduct electricity, so all he had to do was separate the two by controlling the magnetic fields in this area. He was ready for some advanced training.

Focusing on his fire chakra, he created a ball of fire, but its blades were still mildly sticking out from the ends. Next, he focused on magnetic force near here, and sent it to the ball of fire. By spinning it faster and faster, the ball turned into a truly round ball, no blades of flame out of it.

Next, he focused upon the clouds in the sky. Forcing heat to be apparent there, he heightened it to a degree that made the clouds unstable. He raised up his arm to the clouds overhead, awaiting the force that was about to strike out at him.

Suddenly, lightning came and hit the ball of fire, changing its shape. It was now partly fire and partly lightning, a strange mixture that made it look a bluish color, with bolts often circling it in a matter of miliseconds. Spinning it faster and faster, he suddenly shot it from his palm into the nearby forest.

No sound was made when it was shot at the speed of light. The forest was there for a second, and then there were ashes, with the trees surrounding it being black and mostly dead. He found that this was a new skill, but not quite a jutsu. No seals were needed. He now knew, however, how to alter the nature and alter the shape of both fire and lightning.

For some reason, he wasn't tired and did not collapse like he usually did. Instead, he started training with every possible facility, all at the same time, with clones. He also started practicing his two new jutsus, matsui and basai no jutsu.

He already knew about how to mess with Basai no Jutsu, but not quite how to manipulate lightning, so he decided to start out with that. He started focusing lightning chakra into his hand, and started shooting out the power within in quick succession. This was a faster attack than fire, but it was far easier to block. He then took two kunai, and outfitted them with lightning.

Throwing the lightning kunai, he found that they went further and could not be blocked as easily, and since they were hidden in the light, the blocker probably wouldn't know what hit him.

Repeating these attacks, but executing them faster and faster, he soon was able to make ashes of rocks and explosions in the trees. Pleased, he set to work on his fire chakra.

Taking a kunai, and lighting it into flames, he then performed the seals necessary for Basai no Jutsu. The kunai were now hidden in the flames. Increasing the chakra inside of them, he then spun them round and round until they became true spheres of fire. Stopping them abruptly, he now had to kunai in his hands, glowing blue in the heat.

He had specially made it so that the kunai were heat resistant, or else they would have melted in the blinding ferocity of the plasma. Throwing them at a rock, they struck through it with ease. It melted in a flash right afterwards.

Satisfied, he decided to try out more of his newfound lightning chakra. Doing the same thing for Basai no jutsu, but now making one of the kunai full of lightning, he threw the two in the same directions but curving in towards each other. The explosion created was astounding. It left the ground black with ashes, but still in a blue flame.
