ok. from what we know, the last dragon egg in existance is male, making Saphira the only female dragon in all of Alagesia.
There are indications that Murtagh might turn good, and that the final dragon will be green.
We do know that Eragon will fulfill his promise to Roran, and asist him in Saving Katrina (see the special edition of Eldest to read this)
It is unsure who the last rider will be, it could be Arya or it might be someone new all together.
As for the movie, I heard that Chris Paloni was not happy with how they did it and what they left out or changed. I own the game for PS2 and not at all happy with what they changed.
Here are the changes in the game/movie:
1. Brom lives until Gil'ead. In the book he dies a little while before that.
2. There are soldiers in Carvahall before Eragon runs away. In the book, they don't come until the second one.
3. Arya never looks like an elf. They skrewed this up really bad, she is also supposed to have long black hair and palish skin.
4. Where are the dwarves? They cut these cool people out of the entire story line...and they are sorely missed.
5. Eragon has black hair, not blonde. In the second book they make mention of this, whilest he is shaving, it says that "black powder fell from his face" how is this possible if he is blonde?
6. Saphira can breathe fire. Only at the very end of the book does this happen, and yet...there she is in many later scenes, breathing fire on urgals.
7. the Urgals. they look like stronge men in the circus...mixed with like Mongols...they are supposed to look like hairy beasts with ram horns.
8. Eragon fought Durza in trongiheim, not in the air. this is soooo different from the book. Though Eragon kills Durza the same way.

MaddyMage Even though Murtagh said that Morzan was Eragon's father in the ancient language, it still might not be true because Murtagh believed it was true so he didn't know if it was true or not... what?? what??? eek where did you see that??? tell me, tell me please!!!! i dont remember seeing anything like that.

i have it from a good resource that it will be coming out in april, and that the third dragon is indeed green, and Roran's girlfriend Katrina will be the rider.
Also, since murtagh stole Eragon's sword 'misery' i beleive he will inherit the white elvin sword from the old Eragon in the Menoa tree from what the werecat had told him.
"in times of trouble when no weapons come to your side, search the roots at the Menoa tree. there you will find a weapon."
thats a quote from memory, not exact.
Feel free to add input onto this, this is what i have put together; and i beleive it pretty accurate.
