One day I was at my favorite coffee shop, and there were three kids who were all wearing different Doors shirts. I was wearing my classic Jim Morrison shirtless pose, someone had on one where he's laying down on the stage, and the third was an awesome one I had never seen before that has a mugshot, frotal and profile views, of Jim. It was pretty awesome.
Yes, at that coffee shop, you're always in the company of a Doors fan.

Yeah... Ive noticed that Classic Rock and Hippie are the new styles these days. Your cool if you wear a band t-shirt of a band that everybody has heard of from back then, but your friends and you have no idea, or very little idea, of what their songs were, and what their music was all about. it angers me to no end.

Yes, people like that are annoying. I hate the people who are like "DUDE! YOU RULE! Black Sabbath is awesome!" when all they've heard is the damn Paranoid album...you wouldn't believe how many people have a hard time understanding if I'm playing a Dio-Sabbath album and I have to explain that Ozzy was only their vocalist during the '80's.... gonk Oh, and people would always criticize me for liking Judas Priest, last year, based on the name alone (They thought the name made them sound like a gospel group)...now that they've been on Ozzfest and they've seen them, they all think that Judas Priest rules. xd

You like an awesome band that no one else has heard of but then they get turned on to them as well. Just like how good it feels when you replace someone's Good Charlotte CD with the Ramones. Ah, how I love the reinvention of musical interests. There was this one girl last year that wore a Stairway to Heaven shirt and didn't even know who Led Zeppelin was. The only reason she bought the shirt was because her boyfriend is a metalhead. Thank god they've broken up, she doesn't deserve any awesome metalhead. [/rant]

Of course...converting people to good music does help, but in their case it's just another band to download music from, to go with all of their mallcore garbage.... gonk As for that...that was ridiculous for her to do, however, I can't say if she didn't deserve an "awesome metalhead" or not, seeing as many I've met myself are royal assholes. (Despite being one myself...a metalhead, not a ROYAL a*****e... xd )

*gawks*
Ive got that ******** Jim Morrison poster, the one everybody has. My brother gave it to me while he's in Africa. Being a girl, it was above my bed on my ceiling for the longest time. I love that poster... Jeez Jim Morrison was such an amazing man.
Did you know he named the band after Aldous Huxley's book The Doors of Perception? Ive yet to read the book, but I hear it rocks.
