Shouyin pulled of two legs, he took one of his claws and cut up the deer into nice slices, he fashioned a bowl out of earth, hardening it so that no dirt got on the meat and layed it down. He pulled off a slice and bit into.
"Mmm!" he handed her one. "Try it! It's pretty good!" he smiled and went back to eating.

Aeife took the meat and smiled as she watched Shouyin eat. He seemed so content doing the simplest of things. A desire entered her heart to be more capable of such free-spiritedness. She couldn't seem to be so free as he could... There was still something inside her that kept her from being that way.
She nibbled at the meat here and there, watching Shouyin contentedly.

Shouyin looked up at Aeife.
"You've barely even touched your meat! Come on, it's not that bad. And you need to eat a lot more than I do." He stared at her, something seemed to be troubling her but he just couldn't seem to figure it out.

"Oh, I'm sorry. It really is quite delicious..."
Aeife smiled brightly at Shouyin before she took a rather large bite. It was almost too much for her to chew, however and she nearly choked as she was swallowing. After a second of stiffled coughing, she regained her composure and turned back to watching Shouyin once more. Any more that she ate was in substantially smaller bites and half-minded.

Shouyin took a final bite of meat and then looked at Aeife.
"I'm gonna go get some water to drink," he fashioned some cups with his gravity power and walked out of the cave with a wave back to Aeife.
"When I'm back I'll clean up and then I can show you my place!"
He walked down to the lagoon and began to fill the cups.

Aeife smiled and waved briefly back. While Shouyin was getting water, she could begin picking up her belongings in the meantime. She folded her blanket and grabbed her sack... On the floor of the cave, something caught her eye. A reflected light from the fire shone on the smooth surface of her locket.
She gently picked up the necklace made of precious metal and ran her finger along the edge. The locket popped open, where she looked at the images on the inside. A nearly perfect picture of a woman on the left side of the heart-shaped pendant, and on the right a photo of what must have been a man scratched to oblivion. She thought about that day in the meadow when Vizierre handed the item to her... There was still wonder and confusion that she felt toward that day. Why would a demon do something like this for her?
< Mother... I never really knew you... And father, though I've seen your face, it hasn't held any signifigance to me. I wish things could have been different... >
Aeife closed the locket and tucked it along with it's broken chain into the folds of her wrap. Taking one more look around the cave, she made sure that all of her things were with her. Not that there was much to pick up in the first place.

Shouyin filled the cups up and jogged back, being careful not to spill any water. He reached Aeife, who had already finished packing and handed her a cup. He gulped his up and broke it up into nothing. He picked up all of Aeife's things and began walking. The meat could be left behind to feed some hungry animals.
"Here follow me, the place is just down the beach."
[Where'd your clothes go!?]

(( I'm trying to change my look a little... Is that a crime...? ))
Aeife sipped the water Shouyin brought, taking care not to waste a drop. She then gently sat the cup down and stood to follow him. It was something of a surprise to see him grab all her things.
"You don't have to carry that... I can carry it if you like, it's not very heavy."
She motioned that she could take the load off of his hands, though she had a feeling he wouldn't let her. With careful steps, she slowly followed Shouyin across the beach...

[Yes, a very hefty crime. Punishable with removal of eyebrows.]
"Oh it's fine I've got it. You don't worry about anything. Anyways, it's right over there," he pointed towards a hillside with a gigantic round plate infront of it.

Aeife nodded and followed Shouyin as he led the way up the hill to what must have been the entrance to his house. From outside, it simply looked likel... A hill with a big rock slab against it. On the inside she was sure it looked different.

Shouyin focused on the door and it slowly rolled to the side. He walked inside.
"Here the bedrooms are downstairs, I sorta set it up so that light from outside shines into this floor and then through the glass into the the bottom." He walked down and set the blanket on a bed. "The mattress is made of dirt but don't worry you'll stay clean and it's not gonna break." Shouyin stepped back and took a look at his surroundings. "This whole thing wouldn't've been possible without my shard. Gravity sure is useful."
[Yeah I built the house in the old thread. There's a tree and beds in the downstairs, I sleep in trees biggrin The upstairs as a table and chairs along with cuboards. Oh and there's a firepit on both floors.]

Shouyin hopped up into his tree.
"Sorry I am beat, you sleep up in the tree with me or stay on the bed. It's fine with me, not everybody likes tree branches." He hopped out and kissed her and then snuggled back in and went to sleep.

(( Oh, thanks. I think I'm going to be headed to bed now though... School tomorrow and all, though I really don't care to go. ))
Aeife smiled when she saw the interior. It amazed her to know that Shouyin was able to do all this on his own, with a little help from his shard. But still, it was an amazing piece of work.
"This is remarkable!"
She smiled brightly, sitting down gingerly on one of the beds made of earth. Surprisingly enough, it wasn't as hard as she thought it was going to be. It was much more comfortable than she would have imagined. And she must've been much more tired than she realized... As soon as she stretched out into a comfortable position, she almost immidiately fell into a deep slumber.

Shouyin sat up and stretched, he had had a surprisingly good sleep. He looked over and saw Aeife sleeping soundly. It was nice having someone in his house, the hill was somewhat large and it often got quite lonely.

Aeife turned to her side in her sleep, her arm hanging over the bed-side with her legs tucked beneath her. She awoke with a stretch accompanied by a dreary yawn. Rather than sit up, she rolled over onto her back again. It had been so long since she slept on something soft... And she was in no rush to get up just yet.
One arm rested on the pillow just above her head while her other hand still dangled over the edge. Her knees were brought together in a fairly relaxed but conservative position. Looking up into the tree she saw Shouyin looking down at her. With a smile, she managed to say "Morning" in a soft, still waking voice.
