So I can't really write in here, but I am getting Barrett to write for me, so I am making this quick. I am the Yudou of the house, Candle, and I feel they should be lucky I am blessing this page with my thoughts...I guess...anyways, I should be growing soon, and I can't wait to see what I look like or what my powers will be.

Dear Journal,
I was sitting there, high above the arena, watching with the hundreds of others as Mel walked into the clearing. She was proud, just like herself, and when the other deejarne came out she did not falter one bit. I must say I was a little worried once the dream attacked, she summoned something amazing, and Mel was left with half the same power as before, but thank goodness she summoned her weapon, her power, and it worked. She used it to combine with her sword, and than she summoned a huge ball of fire, but even than was not enough as she was defeated by poison...
After she fell, than other dream got up...it was horible, but I guess it was fate. One thing was for sure, but we have yet to find Mel, she ran away...and I fear for the worst...

Final_Crucible Walking slowly through the bathing chambers, Mel felt the warm droplets fall from her damp hair, her eyes searching through the chambers for something to dry her fur with. Her tails dripping, she sighed and moved towards the doors, taking a deep breath before opening it slowly, steam leaving the room as she felt cool, sea air filter in. Her feet moved out into the flooring as she felt the rugs underneath her feet, her hands coming up to smooth away stray droplets as she glanced around, calling out, "Kannan...." She paused before speaking agian, "Kannan...do you have anything I can use to dry off...?" She felt heat radiating off of her, and her voice was soft, relaxed from her period of thinking and soaking in the warm liquids. Lord Changeling The time Mel had spent in the bathing chambers Kannan had not just flittered away. he had spent the time walking through Shingala a second time, checking the condition of his mountain home and collecting a few things he felt he'd need close at hand. Upon the large bed he had laid the overstuffed bag that he had collected his things in, and was steadily unpacking the contents when Melantha emerged from the bathing chambers. Looking up, a ornate glass bowl spun so fine it almost didn't seem to be there was cradled in Kannans paws as he eyed the throughly wet Melantha..
"No, there is nothing to dry yourself off with. Just go out to the balcony, the sea breeze does wonders to the fur when it's dried natrually." Final_Crucible Narrowing her eyes slowly, Mel decided not to ask what was in the mad as she turned on her heel and walked out into the balcony, glancing towards the sea as her wings shifted in the wind. Moving towards the railing, she let her hands drop on the cool surface and gripped it lightly, just looking out to sea as her eyes searched for something, though she had no clue as to what. Her hair still was dripping wet, and the water seemed to make the dark violet color deepen to a seemingly black, the bangs falling into her soft eyes to darken them as well. She moved her hands to fasten the sliver bracelets tightly on each arm, and she made sure her necklace was also tight and secure, before she slowly summoned a single ball of fire, her eyes reflecting the light lavender flames as she held it floating in her hand. Letting the warmth mingle with the sea breeze, she felt relaxed and just enjoyed the atmosphere. Lord Changeling Kannan gently placed the glass bowl upon a table he had specifically set up for some of his items. Gingerly drawing his hands away, he critically eyed the bowl, searching for, and not finding, any possible hair line cracks it could have suffered. Reaching into the bag once more, he withdrew a item he had purposefully been waiting for Melantha to appear before unpacking. A small silver and opal studded box, with a small coral latch and white gold accents. Grinning slightly to himself, he turned and padded his way out onto the balcony.
"Come, sit on one of the marble bench's. Let me finish what you've started hmmm?" Final_Crucible Turning her head slowly, Mel watched him as he walked out to the balcony, her cupped hands still holding the flame as she gazed at him for a moment. With a breeze sending the flame flickering, she curled her fingertips in and the ball dissapeared with a pop, her hands reacting and moving away as a small spark floated to the ground, the only sign there ever was a flame to begin with. Her tails flicking back and forth lightly, she looked towards his grin and tilted her head ever so slightly, wondering what he was up to. But alas, she could read nothing, so she slowly walked over to the marble bench that was closest to him. Her tails fanning out, she sat down gently and crossed her legs near her ankles, looking up to him with dark observent eyes as she waited to see just what he had in mind. Lord Changeling Walking to the bench that Mel had selected, Kannan placed the ornate box down beside her in a empty spot. Twisting the latch, the lid gently popped open, the faint scent of some flowers fragrance wafting into the air before it was carried away by the sea's breeze. Pushing the lid open further, a small compartment popped up and rose with the lid, bound by a white silken string. Within laid several different types of combs and a few brushes that matched the outside of the box perfectly. Small bottles of oil jangled together in one section of the box, and small leaf wrapped bars were neatly stacked in the other. Selecting a wide toothed comb Kannan wordlessly moved round behind Mel, and began to gently stroke the tines through her fur in long easy passes.
"No true bath is complete without a through brushing you know. Cleaning the fur is all well and fine, but if you don't brush out the loose and dead fur then your poor coat will become dull and coarse..." Final_Crucible As the box opened, Mel was not sure what to take from it, and wordlessly looked on as combs and brushes seemed to appear, along with a delicate scent that teased the sences. Shifting unconfertably as he picked up a comb, and watched him as he moved behind her. Gasping suddenly as he slowly started to comb though her fur, she closed her eyes for a moment, before her body reacted and she felt her mucles relax for the second time that day. Letting out a dreamy sigh, she just let him brush though her hair, her hands resting on her lap as she kept her eyes closed.
Hearing his words, she let out a soft, relaxed laugh and spoke in a whisper, "Are you saying my fur is dull because I dont brush it out after every bath..." She moved slightly away, looking over her shoulder at him as her tails flicked and her eyes glowed with the same flutter as the flame she held moments before. Lord Changeling "Mmmmmm...I'm saying your fur would glow like the radiance of your flames if you had the proper tools to tend to it."
Was Kannan's soft and chuckling reply. Running the wide toothed come through her fur a few more times, he paused every so often to clean it of any strands that had gotten caught in it's tines, and then replaced it in the box. From it he pulled another comb, this one with thinner tines and a handle upon it's back tomake holding it easier. This brush of course did not glide through Mel's fur as easily, and had a slight tendency to pinch and pull, but in a matter of moments Kannans practiced hand had it glideing through her fur effortlessly.
"Such a lovely tone, it honestly is a shame it hasn't been brushed correctly before. You'd have shone like a platinum angel in battle the first time I had seen you if it had been. Ah well...no time like the present to make a chage hmmm Melantha?"
As he murmured about changes, one of Kannans tails slipped itself around one of Melantha's own, coly wrapping about it as he btrushed on. Final_Crucible She still glanced over her shoulder with the corner of her dark eyes, but as he switched the combs she suddenly let out a soft grunt, retracting a few inches only to be caught once again. As the brushing smoothed out, she felt the bristles brush her skin lightly and wondered why she felt such marvalus pleasure as his hand expertly moved the comb. It was like heaven, and suddenly she understood why he seemed to enjoy pampering so. He knew just how to brush the fur and just what to use, and it amazed her with the skill of what seemed like years of expertece.
Hearing his voice ring through her ears, she could feel his breath on the back of her neck and it caused a ripple of shivers to run up her spine, but the words still echoed through her mind. As he spoke of change, she felt his tail wrap around hers, but she did not even notice as she felt her blood run cold. 'Change' she thought silently, 'He wants me to...change?' She spund around and caught his hand that he was brushing her with, and looked at him in the eyes, "Change?" She asked meekly. Lord Changeling Kannan's brushing came to a halt as his wrist was caught, and his rather amused expression looked her back as she so meekly questioned him. Meek in words, but not quite that meek in action. Well that would change with time he was sure.
"Yes my dear. Change. As in a change of habits. Brushing your fur after your baths and I do not mean a quick runthrough with a brush to make it all go in the same direction. Letting your fur natrually dry rather then useing heated air that will cause it to dry out and become damaged or dull, nor towling which simply musses it up and entangles the loose dead fur with the healthy strands. Change. YOu know it's really not a bad thing. Now if you would be so kind and proper to release my wrist I'm going to work on your tails. With so many of them I'm sure you've had a terrible time keeping them in good grooming condition...." Final_Crucible Her mouth slipping open and her eyes widening, she just blinked at him as she released his wrist and and smiled slowly. Deciding he could just enjoy himself as he groomed her, she turned around and moved her tails, feeling a tugging as she realized he still has his tail around her own. Taking a deep breath, she waited for him to continue before she slowly started to speak.
"Ever since I met you, you have always been a puzzle to me..." She said in her soft voice, not sure if he was listening, and if he wasn't, she would just keep on talking anyways, "...your actions and your words, they all just seem to reveal more mystery. I think I finally figure you out only to discover yet another secret that you dare not share...you want to show me power, yet you also show be beauty, corruption and peace seems to just surround you...you are a paradox..." She trailed off slowly, wondering if he was going to say anything in response. Lord Changeling Kannan knelt down behind Melantha as she would turn herself back out towards the sea. Replaceing the fine toothed comb, he selected one of the rougher brushes and began to work on brushing out each of the nine tails His own tail, slender and lightly scaled, slipped from the tail it had been wrapped around, to slide unter the bench and coile about one of melantha's ankles. The arrowhead tip rubbing against the fur slightly as Kannan worked in silence for the most part.
"My dear Athena....Your problem is you keep trying to see me as a moraless, black hearted, evil creature. While true I am undeniably wicked, and take great delight in being so, I am by and far neither heartless nor moraless. At least no more so then any one of your own sisters could be. Hmph....Whym has taken great pains to ensure no one knows we are in truth related my dear." Final_Crucible She turned her head away from him for a moment, a blush crossing her features as she felt the tail rub softly against her fur. Sighing, she shook her head slowly, her tails moving slightly as he pulled on one hard.
"I..." She swallowed, flustered by his tail as well as his close proximity, "I...dont think you are moraless...black hearted...and I am getting to not think you are evil either..." She smiled softly, looking out towards the sea, "You have many morals...it is hard not to see them when you speak of wanting to be free of the grip...when you showed up here..." She shifted slightly, feeling the heat continue as she just stopped and felt foolish, "...nevermind...I just dont see you like that anymore." She said in a rush. Lord Changeling Kannan set the brush aside once more, and shifted to stand, his tail sliding free of Melantha's ankle as he rose up to loom over, and very purposefully slide his hands over her shoulders. His tails once more slinking round to wrap around her waist as he attempted to pull her quite firmly up against his chest so he could whisper in her ear.
"Oh but I am evil. Never forget that my dear. I am wicked and evil, but I am not a monster. I've stolen you away from your sisters, practically trapped you here in my home. True you came of your own free will, but that does not mean my actions are any less wicked. I have you here, all to myself Melatha....all mine for now. Your warm lovely body in my arms and your head echoing with my words. I will use you of course....to win my way free of this deplorable state I've found myself in. But that does not mean you have to be complacent with that. There are things your useing me for as well, aren't you? So..in a way...that makes you a little wicked too...doesn't it?" Final_Crucible Mel shivered and pulled away sharply, glaring at him as she moved farther away to paused at the balcony, shaking her head at him as her eyes narrowed. "Stop it." She said sharply, her hand coming out to just point at him, "Stop playing mind games, stop trying to be two different dreams." She turned her back away from him and gripped the balcony hard, "Stop acting like you have something to prove with yourself, stop hiding everything, and than bringing it out later. Can't you ever be truthful just once, or are you acting right now." She asked with anger, her wings flapping as she pushed off to turn to face him, "And I am not wicked." with that she moved to sit on the balcony before she spun around and let her legs hang over, her wings flapping strongly again as she moved to float away, her eyes burning. Lord Changeling Kannan's response...was a laugh. After letting her pull away from him, he let her turn her back to him. Only so he could silently and quickly move up behind her. Foolish thing, to take her eyes off him. Hadn't she learned by now? With the sweep of a arm, Kannan sought to grab Mel around the waist....andslam her down upon her back on the balcony floor so he could attempt to straddle and pin her down.
"Now listen to yourself my sweet. Two different dreams? Hideing and revealing and hiding? I have not once been anything but myself about you. Tis you that sees a double game being played. I have been forthright from the very start with you. I have told you my intentions and I have not played you false. I have been quite honest in fact. If there are mysteries you do not understand then it is only your own mind poking at phantom holes and plots for mine have been very plain to the ear since we've first started our association. Even back when you first stumbled upon the temple I was honest. I told you what would happen did I not? I told you that I did not care to do what I needed to do, and that was not a lie now was it? You my dear are indeed very wicked, and till you admit it to yourself your going to be full of much frustration I think. You came to me intending to attack me and reclaim what dignety you lost to me in our first battle. You also intended to use me to gain my secrets and skills, that is why you became my pupil isn't it? Tell me now, is that not wicked? If anyone else were to do that don't you think that would be wicked of them?" Final_Crucible She closed her eyes as she felt her back slam to the ground, her wings just barly recollecting themselves, though one of her lower ones had the tips slam in a bent position. Cringing, she could feel tears of pain, shame, and anger move towards her eyes, her head shaking back and forth as he taunted her while she could not move. Her hands moving into balls of fist, she let out a cry and grinded her teeth, her eyes opening as she shifted, "Let me go." She demanded, though her voice was weak, "...let me go..." It was as if once again everything was suddenly coming back to her, and she continued to shake her head, "I am not wicked...I am not wicked..." She paused, closing her eyes tightly to leave him no room to see her weakness, "No..." She trailed off, "...using your own tatics to defeat you is not wicked..." She whispered softly, "It is vengence..." Her hair fell flat against her face as she rested her cheek against the balcony floor, her ears flat and her eyes dull, though covered in a sheen of fresh tears, tears of pain, confusion, and shame. Lord Changeling But he did not let her go. He kept her pinned. His chilling eyes focused solely on her as she shook her head and repeated to herself words he was quite certain had been echoing in her mind from the very moment she took his offer and entered the fire temple. Leaning forwards, closer to her till he was pretty much laying flat atop her, he brushed his lips afainst her ear and whispered.
"Vengence for what? For being better then you in battle? That is not vengence my dear Melantha. That is your pride being pricked. Your ego suffering a blow from someone who is better then you. It is petty. If that is your first answer, then it is the wrong answer. I even apologized to your sisters for the blows I dealt. I expressed sympathy in doing my duty. I did not return you to your whisp state out of any maliscious lust for destruction. I shall not let you go either...you are mine now. You gave yourself to me. For teaching, for training..and I shall not let you simply meander off because your pride suffers from being forced to learn humility."
So said Kannan turned his head, seeking to press his lips once again to melantha's own in a fierce and powerful kiss. Final_Crucible Mel felt tears start to fall as she felt his lips touch her own, and than slipped her hands swiftly to his chest, pretending to play for a second before she attempted a push. Weather or not he moved away from her lips, she hissed out a quiet, "Stop toying with me..." She than shook her head once more, "If you dont feel anything in that wicked mindset of yours, dont try to string me on." It was said so fast that she paused, her eyes widening, and she let out a gasp, cursing herself in her mind Lord Changeling Kannan's reply was merely a deep chested chuckle. The stronger of the two, he did indeed toy with her, letting her push up against him gain her a few inch's of seperation...but then he pushed back down steadily, attempting to press her body once more firmly to the ground under him as he nuzzeled his lips against her neck.
"Melantha dear....I do not 'string' along. I either have a interest or I do not. I may have attributes like a cat, but I do not harry nor torment my prey. I am not that sort of nightmare. Do you know what dream I was born of my dear? Do you know what poor souls nightmare I was born from?"
He paused to let her hear his words, and attempt to make the connection on her own.
"Failure. The dream that formed me was one of failure. Failing to achive some goal. Failure to be strong. Failure to be loved. From that nightmare I was born..like select other Nightmare are" Final_Crucible She let out a shiver as his words seemed to brush through her, and she had to swallow as he nuzzled her neck with his lips. Shifting slowly, she closed her eyes, hearing failure as he spoke. Failure, it was always on her mind, how she failed to be strong enouch to protect her sisters, to prove herself in a simple battle. Her arms just resting her head back as her hair fell in her eyes. Taking a deep breath, she moved her arms around him slowly, loosly, and turned to look at him with an undefined emotion running through her system.
"Intrest...like you did thoes other no-name dreams that are painted on your walls...dissapeared." She let out a cholked sob, "...is that what you plan with me..." She asked, aiding in pulling him close, "Out of all dreams, you were the only one who respected me, saw past me to see potential..." She looked towards him, "What should I expect from you...?" She asked, keying in on emotions as well as actions, "Or should I expect nothing now..." she let out a shudder and shifted, her wing dully throbing. Lord Changeling He allowed her to wrap her arms about him, and in return he shifted his own arms around, seeking to embrace her as he gave her one last nuzzle, and lifted his head to peer at her.
"They aren't no-names..they all have a name..and it is Beautiful. I admired them all. loved them in the manner that I love. I possessed them, yes I admit that. I possessed them like a dragon possesses, and cherish's it's hoard. They were special to me, the pride of my collection and beings I took a great amount of joy being in the company of."
Pauseing in his words, Kannan allowed his eyes to rake his cold and intense gaze over her face, his head bonding forwards to once more whisper his lips over her cheek in the prelude of another kiss.
"You are buatiful. I see it there, like a diamond hidden in a coal stone. You are glorious and you are desierable. I want to have you, to hold you. I want to keep you in my arms and in my home. near at hand so I can gaze upon you whenever my heart yearns too. Most of all though I want you to want that too. I want you to yearn for my touch and to desire to be in my possession. Oh, I know telling you this will possibly ruin my attempts, but I am no liar Melantha. I spin no webs of deciet about you to try and ensnare you or entrap you."
Tilting his head a little more, he tried to claim the kiss he had been leading up to, a soft growl coming from within his throat as he clutched at her more tightly.
"You are a gem. A priceless figure that I can not help but want to have. What should you expect from me? Ah....so many things. Pursuit and obsession perhaps. The feral desire of a man whom has seen something he absolutly must have and shall not take no for an answer. lchangeling: That is what you may expect my dear, and never say I have ever tried to lead you astry for I have not." Final_Crucible As he slowly started to speak, all she could feel was his hands around her body in an intamate embrace that she suddenly was very aware of. As his heat seemed to join with her own, she looked up to him with soft eyes, listening to his words and having no room to voice her doubts. She slowly wondered if she was another one of his possessions like the pictures, but was silences as he moved to kiss her cheek, the intamate gesture making her blush more than his full on kisses did. To hear him slowly speak to her, speak of how he wanted her forever and always caused her to shift, though not move away at all, it seemed like she moved closer, right when he let out a soft growl. That alone caused her to relize he was indeed not lying, and she felt him pull her close, her wing freeing as she felt herself confertable in his arms.
Shifting as he pulled away, she moved closer, and didn't say anything for a moment, staying silent, before she did speak, "...dont...dont pull away...I believe you...you speak the words I could never say, you speak the emotions I have always felt..." She looked away from his eyes, "You have confused me, yet lead me down a new path, a new adventure..." She moved in to softly nuzzle him, breathing in his scent, "I do not know what builds up inside of me, my emotions are...hard to read...but...to hear you say thoes words..." She trailed off, and looked to his eyes, suddenly taking the iniative to move in for the kiss first. Lord Changeling Kannan allowed her, as he always did when planning his moves upon her, a moment of respite. Where she could clear her head a little so she could never truely have the excuse that he had completly overwhelmed her. Holding her, he of course complied when she asked him to hold her more tightly. His strong arms curling like a serpents body around her shoulders as he finally shifted his wait. Sliding off to one side, he sat uup a bit, so he could more easily get a firmer holdupon her. She was his, oh he knew that without a doubt. And she had to know it too. Elsewise he'd not feel her sinking into his embrace, or now returning his kiss. He would have her. He would possess her utterly, body, mind, and soul. Then he would keep her, till the world fell apart once more and he was forced to relinquish his gems once again. Though perhaps this time he would not have to and instead he'd be able to keep her for all eternity.
Pressing his lips firmly to Mel's own when she finally took up the iniative to kiss him first, he did not toy with any sense of restraint. He kissed her full on, deeply, and as possessively as his words had warned her he would be. All three of his tails slipped forwards to wind about her now. One about her thigh, one to her waist, and a third to her other thigh. Holding her firmly against his own body as he arched and enclosed his scaled wings around her.
"Say you are mine...tell me you consent..and never will I let you go my beauty...." Final_Crucible Feeling him slide, she of course had moved closer and let her wings stretch from their binds, her arms moving to rest around his shoulders as she felt him tighten around her as her lips carassed his. She felt foolishly childish in his arms, his movements overwhelming her with the skill of the kiss, and she gave in to let him lead, eagerly following his lead and learning all she could. As his tails wound around her, she let her tails move to carass them, her mouth pulling back as she felt the wings cover her, pulling her as close as possible to his body, though she let no complant come from thoes lips. Her wings folding and rubbing against his own, she listened and blinked, but slowly smiled, her eyes dark, "If that is what you wish for..." She said slowly, before she moved in to nuzzle him, "If you will have me, I am yours, for you to teach me everything...with strength, mentality, and anything you can muster...I...want to learn all about you..." She whispered slowly, "Tell me everything, I feel as if we had all the time in nowhere..." She let her hands run down his shoulders as she rested them on his chest, "but...I...am tired..." She whispered sielntly.
As she whispered this, she rubbed his chest before resting her head on it, closing her eyes and just taking her time to savure the moment, "Kannan..." she whispered softly. Lord Changeling Kannan's hold upon Melantha hardly lessened any as she in essence gave him what he wanted from her. Holding her tight to his chest, he liftedhis gaze a little to peer out at the sea once more. He did not speak now, and his attention focused itself away from them...though his body most certainly kept her crushed to his body as tightly as he could muster. However, as it was she would whisper of her tiredness, he tilted his gaze down to peer at her.
Smoothly he rose, his movements seeming so practiced as he easily lifted her up in his arms. His long slender tails caressing her body as he turned and made his way back into the room that they both shared..and to the bed that was equally shared. However, as he set himself to the task of laying her down beneath the sheets, he crawledhimself in between them as well, to once more wrap arm, tail, and wing about her in a possessive cocoon of fur and scale.
"Sleep my Melantha. We shall pursue your training come waking..." Final_Crucible Her hands moved to lightly rest against his soft fur, her eyes looking towards his icy ones as she watched him move towards the bed. Feeling him lie her down, she smiled as he soon joined her and moved to wrap her around. As he held her close, she lightly nuzzled him with her lips lightly brushing, and spoke softly against his neck, "Never did I imagin this would be the outcome..." She ran her hands to touch the tails wound around her waist. "Though I cannot lie, I would rather be with you than anyone else..." She smiled drowzidly before making her customary scowl, "But you better not go easy on me...I...want to grow stronger..." With that she rested her head down and closed her eyes, snuggling closer to him. Lord Changeling "Never would I dream of it pet."
Was the cool and soft reply from Kannan's lips as he held her close to him and waited forher to drift off into slumber. His own chilling eyes closeing as well as his mind turned with thoughts of what his next steps in the future would now be.

Lord changeling Sometime while Melantha slept Kannan had slipped off. Vanishing from the room, she'd be left alone to her own devices for most of the morning. Nary a word had been sent or left for her to let her know what he was up to. Sometime later in the day however, the sound of scales scraping on stone would sound as something madeit's way along the hall to the bedroom. Final_Crucible Entertaining herself for the day, Mel had simply walked along the room, her eyes glancing over the features of the stone statues as she just got caught with the fountain. Her hands running across the faces as her fingers got damp from the spray, she let her mind wander to the thoughts of the pictures, and she wondered how she compaired to them. Yes he had told her she was his, something he would never give up, but even she could admit there were others more beautiful than she. The sound catching her ears, she turned her head as her eyes clouded with confusion. Lord changeling With a bump the door opened, and a Dark Dream slithered into the room. His arms were currently occupied with a bundle of boxes and his red eyes were narrowed with concentration as he used the tip of his tail to open and shut the door behind him. As he turned to look about the room for a place to set the boxes, his eyes landed upon Melantha, and widened.
"You!" Estaroth exclaimed as he dropped the boxes in his surprise.
"YOUR the one Master Kanna brought here? Oh you have GOT to be kidding me!" Final_Crucible Her eyes widening as well, she than frowned and glared at him, "Kannan is your master...you have got to be kidding me..." She smirked than and took a step closer, "I am surprised...that is for sure..." She remembered how the dark dream had followed her and spied on her, and she wondered if he worked for Kannan than too. Moving away from the fountain, she moved to sit on the bed and just watched him. Lord changeling Estaroths eyes narrowed as he glared at melantha following her mockery of his words. Lowering himself to the floor, he began to collect the boxes that he had dropped back into his arms.
"So why are you here? I was told he brought someone to Shingala but I figured it would be someone important or at least useful." Final_Crucible Mel just gazed at him for a moment as his words sunk in before turning her head away, "He is training me to become a better fighter, and he had to travel here right away, so I came with him." She said with a nod, her fingers tapping the silky bed as she wish she could shut him up, but she had a feeling he was immune to her spells. Lord changeling Estaroth snorted, if that was any sort of reply, and carried the boxes over to the vanity. Setting them down, he gave few a shake, his head tilted to catch any sound that could have come from the boxes.
"Yes I know. I was watching the fight. Soon as Kannan decided to vanish I got out of there myself. I wasn't about to stick around as your sister found out you weren't there." Final_Crucible Stilling suddenly, she glanced towards him, "My...sister..." She frowned lightly before moving to stand and look over to where he was, "My sister went back to the temple to fight Kannan..." She asked, though it was more of a stunned statement. Blinking, she seemed to just turn her head and look away, wondering why her sister would do such a thing, and figured it was Phyre. Lord changeling Estaroths head nodded as he placed the last of his burden down.
"The air deejarnee. Hollaring about you and everything, as if you were kidnapped or something. She sounded like a twit."
Estaroth firmly nodded his head while crossing his arms over his chest and darkly looking about the room.
"I figured he'd have taken her down first, she was the weakest in the group...but he didn't touch her." Final_Crucible Her eyes fell slightly as she wondered silently to herself, "Phyre...she fought to come get me..." She put her hand lightly to her heart as she felt a warmth fill her body, "...I..." Frowning she turned away from Estaroth, before her tails started to flick, "So, are you going to spy on me again now that you know I am with your Master?" She asked with a smirk. Lord changeling "Of course'
Came Estaroths casual reply. His shoulders shrugging slightly as he slipped about the room and inspected it.
"Thats what I do. Spy, skulk, andevesdrop. It's also why Kannan doesn't let me engage in any battles. I'm good at what I do and he doesn't want to lose me. Plus..I'm the only Nightmare that can go to that other world and he needs that." Final_Crucible She let out a growl and stepped closer to him, "So you admit it, you were spying on me the day that you were on the beach." She said with narrowed eyes, wondering why he would spy on her, and turned away suddenly, thinking to herself, "Wait a second...if Kannan is your master...wouldnt I have some say over your actions too?" She asked with a small smile, not a smirk. Lord changeling Estaroth's reaction to her stepping closer was to merely fold his arms across his chest and draw himselfup higher upon his tail. His feline face tilting upwards with a sniff.
"I do not have to admitt anything."
He paused a moment afterwards though, as she mused about their current position, then he shook his head.
"I answer to Kanna, he never said anything about me haveing to answer to you. For all I know your just a pet of his." Final_Crucible "Pet..." She said with anger, though she closed her eyes and took a deep breath, turning away, "Than I would be no different than you in status, now would I?" She asked with a wave of her hand as she moved towards the bed once more, her hands smothing the covers down before she pulled them back and moved to sit, crossing her legs slowly as she gazed at him, "Where is Kannan?" She asked slowly, she wouldnt admit it, but all day she was bored, and she was sure he told her they were going to train. Lord changeling Estaroth tapped his fingers against his arm for a moment, then moved back to one of the small boxes. Using a talon to rip open the packaging, he began to poke around inside.
"He's securing our stronghold. He wasnt to make certain we aren't going to suffer damage during the rejoining..." Pauseing, Estaroth looked up at Mel.
"Shingala is..well...his memory. Everything that has ever mattered to him is here, and if he has to be reborn again he's afraid some of his memories will be gone. They way they always are with you dreams. When he comes here, his memories are more or less restored to him. It's more important to him then anything else can possibly be." Final_Crucible She crossed her arms and let out a sigh, shifting as she looked around the room with a weak gaze, not feeling rigth being somewhere that mattered so much to him. She was not sure what to expect if this was his memories. Not knowing anything really about Kannan, she felt satisfied just having him hold her, though with the Dark Dream's words, she realized she might just be a pet, she realized she didnt know Kannan, though as her gaze landed on Estaroth, she realized he knew her. "He did seem happy to come here..." Lord changeling Placeing the insence jars out on the table, Estaroth peered over his shoulder at Melantha.
"Well of course he did. Wouldn't you be happy to return to a place that made you feel safe and..well...yourself? Someplace that made you feel complete? A place where you can know who you are just by looking around? This is Lord Kannans home and a lot more. It's who he is. Nothing is more important to him then remembering that." Final_Crucible She tried to smile, but it faltered before it fell, and she simply just nodded, thinking about her home and her sisters. She wondered how they were fairing, and her wings drooped just slightly. Letting out a sigh, she nodded, "That would make me happy to return to a place like that..." She than looked to him, "Does this place make you feel that way as well?" Lord changeling Estaroths head shook slightly as he set another pot down.
"I have no home, or any memories for that matter. No Dark Dream does. It's pretty much what we are you know? Born of dreamless sleep and such. So we really have nothing in us to give us drive or goals...happiness..." Final_Crucible Mel let out a light oh and just shifted again, wondering when Kannan would get back to explain just what was going on. Shifting agian for what seemed the tenth time, she tapped her fingers on her knee as she looked to him out of the corner of her eye and asked slowly, "...do I belong here?" She asked slowly, wondering if she belonged somewhere where Kannan had all the memories, memeories he seemed content not to share about. Lord changeling "Neh? You sure ask a lot of weird questions."
Estaroth replied first. Turning about, he coiled his tail about him, and settled down, much like a serpent at rest, with his crimson eyes focused upon Melantha.
"If you want to know about Kannan you could always do snooping around of your own. Course...I being who I am I guess there is no one better to ask then me. Anyways...Yes."
He answered with a small shrug of his shoulders once again.
"You wouldn't be here if you didn't belong after all. Kannan is really picky about who he lets into Shingala" Final_Crucible Turning her head towards the door on the side of the room, she shifted, "I...would regret snooping...who knows what he would do to me..." She said with a twitch of her tail, her hair falling into her eyes before she turned to look at him, and she smiled softly, "For an emotionless stooge, you really do care." She said with a smile, though it faded after a moment as she lied back down on the bed, looking to the ceiling. Lord changeling If nothing else, Estaroths eyes widened to the size of half dollars. His mouth opening slightly...then quickly they narrowed and his mouth turned down into a scowl.
"I do NOT care. I don't care about anything at all. Not you, Not Kannan, not nothing so your wrong!" Final_Crucible She smiled slowly, and looked towards him from the bed, "You are only denying the feelings you dont understand...I would know...I did that until last night when Kannan....forced them out of me..." She said softly with a blush and a dreamy smile. Lord changeling Estaroth snorted..a little too loudly as he turned his glareing gaze away.
"Not denying nothing.....understand myself perfectly fine..."
He mumbled under his breath before he unwound himself and slithered off towards the door.
"You've delayed me in my work long enough. Stupid girl....I have more important things to do then sit around chatting about your crush." Huffing he moved to the door, a soft agitated growl coming from him as he opened it and slipped out.

Dear Journal,
It seems as if everything just likes to go wrong. I am still looking for Mel, I fear the worst for her, but Phyre came back and I took Darin to the temple. He seems to dislike me so much now, right away when I saw him again he accused me of things that I didnt understand. I should have never brought him to the temple, right away he started to get defensive, and I ended up giving him what he wanted just so he could be happy and I could leave. I only wish that Mel would come back, so Phyre, her and I can leave and never have to come back out of nowhere.

Dear Journal,
I met up with these strange dreams, one of them being the one who beat Mel, and we worked together to send Kannan running, that scardy nightmare. I looked around but Mel was not there, I wonder what happened to her. It is sad really, all I want is to see my big sister again, but she is gone. Evvy is getting down now, her best friend and her decided to 'dream' and it looks as if things didnt go to well, but I know it will work out in the long run, becuase she doesnt need anyone else, all she needs is our family.

Dear Journal,
I saw Jack again the other day, I was outside of the store and he just walked up. I couldn't believe it, and when he came to me, I almost wanted to encase him in a huge hug. He had tried to find a boat to sail, and as we sat there watching the sunset he had his arm around me in a hug. I can't believe how lucky I am. He is the sweetest dream there is, and he promised as he left to come visit me every time. I think that the long moments appart just make being together much better.
JJ met him that day too, and got a little defencive, but otherwise everything turned out alright, and I cant wait for Jack to come back again.

Storei River floated around, crying out every so often, "Brother? Brother, where'd you go?" Suddenly realising that his brother would not answer his call, the deejarnee growled to himself and sighed. That flouncy...Brother...Of his. Floating now, aimlessly through the skies like a lost leaf riding upon the winds, River chewed on his knuckles. Final_Crucible Shifting slightly from where she sat, Evvy looked down towards the ground with sorrow etched across her features. Her wings drooping and her bangs falling into thoes eyes, her fur made her look a lot brighter than how she felt. The day was perfect, but she couldnt find the heart to enjoy it, all she could think about was her failed breeding, and her failed friendship. Slowly, her paws slid down to the ground as they covered her eyes in an attept to stop the tears that seemed to just want to seep from her dull eyes. Storei River was floating along when he heard a sudden sound that found it's way into his hearing. "Crying?" He murmured to himself before looking down to the ground for the source of the sound. There, upon the ground was a brightly colored Demonic Dream, lost within woe and anguish. The deejarnee starred at her for a moment before he fluttered his wings a bit and made his way down to her. "Excuse me? M'lady, why do you cry?" He asked as he fluttered down near to her. Final_Crucible Covering her eyes still, Evvy sniffled slightly and shook her head, "I...I am not crying..." She said with a sob, shaking her head and wipping her eyes, glancing up to him with a sheen still covering her eyes. Moving to stand up, she could feel the pain still seeping through her system, and she let her wings flutter softly as she got a good look at the Deejarne that hovered over her. Swallowing, her tail dragged back and forth, before she turned away with a slight look of shame, tears welling once again. Storei "Liar," The deejarnee proclaimed as he twisted around and got a good look at her face. Tears stung her cheeks and her eyes were aching pitifully. River sighed, feeling sad himself and he attempted to smile while reached forward to brush the tears away from her face, "Don't cry." He said softly. Final_Crucible She sniffled once more and shook her head, speaking so softly as she looked towards him with her icy blue eyes, "It is so hard sometimes to deal with dreams in this world..." She said softly, turning away as she smiled softly, turning back to look at him, "I...I am Evvy..." It was a soft introduction, but somehow having someone to come help her and care while she was hurt so badly seemed to just make her brighten up.
Storei The deejarnee plastered a smile on his cheeks and he said, "I am River, pleased to meet you. I'm sorry if you've lost...Your dreams...Oh were you travelling with someone?" He asked. In his eyes he got the wrong definition of Dreams. Final_Crucible Evvy moved to settle herself in a sit, frowning lightly to glance up towards where he was, her eyes watering slightly, and her gaze shifting away, "No...no...I was traveling with someone who was my friend...and...we were at the fire temple, and we got in an argument..." She shook her head, "...and...the breeding...the dreaming..." She sniffled before shaking her head, "It is nothing now...it is just nice to see I can still meet new people after that expirence..." Her voice was soft, and her words were heartfelt as she looked to him, glancing over his appearance and noting he looked just like her sister. Storei "Broken dreams may still take flight, even when the dream has not yet begun," He said in an equally soft tone, "I'm sorry that such a thing has happened. Fights in nowhere aren't susposed to happen. Well, at least ones with kinsmen, anyway. Please smile." Final_Crucible She glanced up towards him with a slow movement, before she smiled softly, her eyes shining and her wings lifting slightly as her tail swung, "You are right, something must have been hiding behind this if the fight was suddenly made...I...thank you, you dont know how much you just helped me." She shifted and just looked to him, her smile growing. Storei The deejarnee smiled and then burst into a slight laugh, "There we go, that's much better. Now...Is there anything I can help you with? I'd do anything for a beautiful lady like yourself." River, for some reason, couldn't keep his eyes off her and he felt his heart pound whenever she spoke or even moved. What was this? Final_Crucible She blinked slowly before she blushed, her colorful fur hiding it and her wings flapping softly, "I am not sure if you could help me with anything...I think friendship would help..." She said with wide eyes, figuring she just ruined it as she laughed lightly to herself and bit her lip. She didnt know why, but him just coming up to be friendly with her made her not want to lose him as a newfound frined. Storei "Of course," He beamed with a smile, nodding his head and fluttering his tails and wings with a sudden excitement. "Maybe...I could...Be something more if you needed it." He said, an equally bright blush flushing his cheeks. Final_Crucible She also blushed before smiling softly, "I think we should be able to find out with time..." She knew it was foolish to flirt and be attracted, but this deejarne was being so cute, and carring so much, that she couldnt help but feel drawn to his smile and his blush. Storei "Time is an illusion." He proclaimed with a laugh, "Lunch time, doubly so."
Final_Crucible She giggled at his perkyness before moving to stand up, glancing to where he was floating before she nodded, "Yes indeed, were you looking for someone before you came to me? I thought I heard you yelling..." She asked softly, tilting her head in wonder. Storei "Yeah," He said with a quircky smile, "I was looking for my brother. The fool, he's run off without me again." He said while lifting a hand to his head and spinning about once as if to look for the missing Cloudless. Final_Crucible Evvy seemed to nod slowly, "Yes, I know how that is, my sister, a deejarne like youself only blessed by fire, dissapeared with a Lair lord the other week...she has caused such a pain in the searching from myself and my family..." Nodding slowly, she blinked to where he was, before smiling, "But I think it is because she has become smitten with this nightmare..." Storei "That's a hoot," The deejarnee said as he slapped his palm to his forehead and he laughed again. "Love is a delicate thing though and as long as two hearts beat within two chests, it is a love." Final_Crucible She smiled softly at his words and spoke just as softly as her smile, "I agree with you there, but when one heart breaks away its beat from another, it only results in a lack of love, or a loss of strength...and sometimes a beat can be missleading..." she spoke with such sorrow, that it almost seemed she had given up all hope on the emotion called love. Storei "But...One heart...Can always lend love to mend a broken one." River said softly as he reached down and clasped Evvy's paw in his hands. Final_Crucible Blushing, she looked to him with wide eyes, before she started to smile, "You are right, there is always another out there who knows just how to help heal with just a brush of a paw..." She looked towards him with that same smile, feeling a blush creep up slowly once more as she searched his eyes. Storei River smiled softly and he searched her eyes as well, smiling warmly and cocking his head softly to the side. Final_Crucible Breaking the contact as her blush grew, she didnt understand why she felt so much more with this deejarne. Right away she could tell he was sweet and caring, and as she sat there, she wondered if he felt that same, connection she did. Shivering slightly, she moved closer and smiled, "River..." she stopped, unsure what to say, "Do you want to go somewhere...?" Storei "Lead the way," He said with the same quircky smile. Final_Crucible She smiled back at him before moving to stand and walk slowly ahead, glancing around as she headed away from the shop house and across the warm sand of the beach, the breeze ruffling her fur as all signs of her crying seemed to fade.

Lord Changeling Kannan had managed to unpack most of the small boxes...into different boxes. Ornate small chests with odd little symbols on them all were scattered over the floor and open. In one different little bottls of powder was set, in another were vials of liquid. One box seemed to hold a lot of feathers from different birds, and yet another had small gemstones of different sorts loosely contained within. Peeking up as Melantha entered, Kannan beganto closes the boxes up one at a time.
"Did you enjoy your flight?" Final_Crucible Settling herself upon the bed beneaith her, she smiled to herself and nodded, "Of course, it was the most entertaining thing I was able to do today..." She said with a blush soon following the statement, not meaning to be so blunt with her comment. Rubbing her fingers together with the cloth of the blanket between them, she moved to look over to where he was closing the boxes, just blinking slowly as her breathing was steady. Thinking to herself, she decided that she might as well ask the question, and moved so she was lying on her stomach, tails swinging slowly as she spoke in a whisper, "Kannan...I have been thinking..." Lord Changeling "I am glad you enjoyed yourself then. I'm afraid I've been entierly too caught up inmy preparations to truely entertain you..but I shall be rectifying that soon enough. Enjoy your time of leisure my dear."
Kannan cheerfully replied as he produced a small ring of keys from one of the packing boxes and began to systamatically lock the little boxes he had just unpacked.
"Mmmm, thinking is good for you. I'd hate it if you never thought." Final_Crucible Frowning lightly at the seemingly smart-alic response, Mel let out a short glare before she tapped her fingers against the sheets beneith her, and circled her tow on the end behind her, "Kannan...I was wondering just how far you wanted to take this relationship....I feel we should know where we want this to stand before we start this journey...to prevent heartach...." She smiled slowly, her eyes moving up to watch him lock the boxes as she waited for the response. Lord Changeling Picking up one of the boxes, Kannan turned to flash Melantha one ofhis wry grins, his tails swaying behind him as if he'd just heard the cutest thing to make them twitch so.
"Quite forwards aren't you about this. My dear, I thought yesterday we determined just what this relationship was..you are mine. My woman, and you are here with me. Where it goes from here I'm sure you can guess. You will reside with me, help me achive my desires, while I mold you and grant you the power you inwardly lust. Personally between us I fully intend to have you in my bed nightly and not in a simple innocent sleeping arrangement matter. Eventually you will reach the point where I can proudly have y our portrit added to my gallery so that, in the sad case we do fail.to seperate ourselves from destruction, I shall not forget you." Final_Crucible Mel seemed to just react coldly to that and turned her gaze away, moving her whole body to put her back facing him as her tails flicked angerly behind her and her amrs crossed across her chest. Her wings folding like a cloak over her shoulders, she shook her head slightly at his finishing statement and just let out a huff, her eyes closing in a futile attempt to hide her hurt, feeling the effects of how he said that she was his, yet he still was not accepting the way she looked. Feeling self concious, she had turned away of course, and decided that if he couldnt accept the way she looked at that moment, than she still had some doubts about how he felt they would deal with the future. Moving away from him, she lifted the covers, her eyes gazing down at the sheets as she silently slipped in bed to once again turn to her side to face away. Lord Changeling Kannan did not bother her in the least. In fact he didn't say another word to her as he picked up a couple of the boxes and carried them across the room to stack near the 'forbidden door'. Humming softly to himself, he turned to the bed,.
"Once it is you feel likeyou no longer want to sulk, I shall have something in the kitchen waiting for you to eat my dear."
Still with that chipper voice of his, he turned, and exited the room. Final_Crucible Mel was tempted to just follow him, but than decided against it, figureing that he was the one who needed to learn a lession, her eyes closing as she moved to pull the blanket closer. Sighing to herself, she remembered all of the pictures, and decided they were not like her. She didnt want to be like all of them, she wanted to be herself, and if he couldnt see the beauty in that, that he clearly was blind. Shifting slowly, she kept her eyes closed and willed herself to go to sleep, or at least act like it incase Kannan would enter back into the room at any future moment.

Final_Crucible After a few hours time, Mel had found herself falling into an easy, light slumber. She had just left the idea of Kannan not coming back as his way of not being able to deal or even see the problem, and realized she might have to be more direct instead of letting him approach things. He seemed to, in her mind, not be able to realize she was disturbed by things he said, that or he didnt want to care, so she figured he might as well know it by her telling him. It was something she thought over until she decided she would need energy to tell him, and thus found herself sleeping with the covered draped lightly over her form, the bed encasing her as if she were drowing in a black abyss. Lord Changeling Kannans moods and feelings were perhaps the only thing she'd never completly come to predict. After having made certain nothing breakable in his prescious Shingala was loose, and making certain all doors were tightly locked, all windows shuttered firmly, and all possible heavy falling objects were secured to the best ofhis ability..Kannan felt the only thing he could do now was wait apprehensively for the joining. He had sent Estaroth on another excursion to the Source world. To learn what more he could from the dreams that flounced about freely and see if any of they felt any sort of tremor with the joining. Then, after helping himself to a nice cool drink of coconut milk and sugar with cream, he rose up the spiral staricase to his chambers.
Melanatha seemed to have fallen asleep comfortably enough, but with the window open and the sea breeze wafting it's way through the room he found reason to pause and draw up one of the heavier blankets over her shoulders before tip toeing to the room he kept so securely locked and made to unlock it sohe could quickly store the small ornate boxes outside, inside. Final_Crucible The sleep being not needed for the deejarne, she started to stir right as she felt the confert of the encasing blanket that was pulled towards her shoulders. Taking her time to get up, she of course missed the whole storing of the boxes, though that was not a thought that lingered in her mind. Her hands coming up to grip the blanket tightly, she sat up and pulled it to rest around her waist, her eyes moving to linger on Kannan's form as she let her wings drape from her shoulders, her tails under the blanket and each resting on the bed. Feeling ominous about the so-called joining, though she had no idea that was the case, she just watched him in silence, collecting her bravery for the conversation she knew she had to ignite. Lord Changeling Whether by design or chance, any possible glimpse into the room was hampered by a hanging black cloth of velvet that stretched across the doorway. The boxes were quickly tucked into the room, and then upon withdrawing the door was once again loced. Satisfied with his precuations, as small as they were, Kannan turned and spied Melantha sittingupright upon the bed.
"Ah, I see your sleep was not that deep. If your hungry there is some fruit downstairs with some rather nice dipping sauces. Would you care to join me? I'm a touch hungry after all my work." Final_Crucible She watched him lock the door and turn, an eyebrow perking as he started to speak. Hearing of the food, her stomach seemed to slowly start to ach, and she looked towards it when the hunger became apparent. Shifting, she lightly pulled her legs out of the warmth and let them touch the floor, her back to him though not a meaningful gesture at the moment, and she pushed off to stand slowly. Turning, she nodded and spoke in a soft whisper filled with hints of her drowsy state, "I do feel hungry myself...I would quite enjoy some fruit for the evening..." She turned and walked around the bed, looking up towards him as her hands moved to take his arm in a soft gesture, ment for his attention, "I also wish to talk once we are through..." It came out so soft that she wondered if he heard, though she wouldnt mind if he didnt. Lord Changeling Kannan gracefully accepted the looping of Mel's arm into his own. His hand from the other side crossing over to rest firmly upon her arm as he escorted her down the stairs. As was usual per Kannan, one of his three tails slowly snuck about, seeking to wrap itself about melantha's wasit to hold upon her there as well while they descended into the main hall of the mountain carved manor.
"Well of course. What meal is not complete with a discussion following it up?"
Was the soft jibe that Kannan sent back in return to the near whisper Melantha murmured.
"Though you might want to speak up later, I may not be close enough to catch your murmurs, but it is quite demur and adoreable of you to be so genteel...." Final_Crucible She shook her head and poked his tail, her arms pulling slowly from his own as she sighed to herself, "It is not that...I...well...I just have a few things that I need to say which are..." She trailed off before they got into the main hall, her eyes closing before she spoke up in a defeated tone, "Oh, you will just have to wait and see when we start to talk." She smiled to him, though quite forced, and suddenly looked around for food, knowing she was quite hungry after sitting around all day with nothing to do but to memorize the statues in the room. Lord Changeling Kannan, ever the one not to let another know where they stood with him, merely flashed melantha a grin, and led her into the kitchen proper. Due t the fact there was no cook, and Kannan admitted with only a small wry smile as he moved to a cabinet. "I am afraid your going to have to fend for youerself here. I don't know a single thing about cooking and frankly my past attempts have rendered frying pans and pots utterly unusable afterwards. Theres a odd assortment of dried foods and quick foods though. May I suggest a meal of cold cuts and vegtables?" Kannan flicked a hand off towards the ice box as he pulled open the cabinet door before him and began to rustle within for some plates. Final_Crucible Mel watched him before smiling a moment and shaking her head, "And you call yourself the lair lord of the fire temple?" She teased before moving towards the ice box, opening it as her tails swung from side to side. True, it had annoyed her to no end that he just left the conversation to die, but she didnt let it show as she searched for some sort of meat that she could cook with a simple snap of her fingers. She had to admit, it was sometimes really nice to be able to summon eight balls of fire out of thin air. A spark appearing, it slowly grew to a floating ball as she searched for the meat still, her wings flatening on her back as her hair fell into her eyes Lord Changeling "Oh no. I call myself Kannan. It's everyone else who called me the Lair Lord of the Fire Temple." Kannan replied with a soft chuckle. "I'm not too fond of speaking of myself in third person, it sounds terribly egotistical after all. And we both know I'm nothing but modest about myself." Still chuckling to himself Kannan pulled a pair of medium sized plates from the cabinet, and set them down upon the island counter while Melantha searched out for some sort of meat in the ice box. She would be in luck of course. A small block of roast was tucked away in paper wrapping in one corner, while a uncooked ham was marked next to it as well as a bit of bacon. A various amount of fruists and vegtables were neatly stacked upon the wooden shelves, each wrapped in waxed paper and marked as to what it was, as if the size and shope would not give it away. Final_Crucible Mel lifted up the roast and turned to look at him, just glancing to him with a smile as he chuckled away and set up the spot. Moving over towards him, she spoke softly as she set the meat down, working on the paper, "I really meant it as to how you seemed so easily to use fire and you are in control of the temple..." She trailed off for a moment in thought, "...well...you are sort of in control..." Snatching the ball out of the air she moved to brush the fire over the meat, slowly working with it as she watched her task with complete concentration. She had no idea how long to cook it, so she was mostly guessing as she waited to see what else he would bring out for them to eat. Lord Changeling Setting aside the joking manner that he had, up till then, been addressing every topic they had started to speak Kannan allowed his features to pull down into a somewhat serious look. "Useing fire as a means of attack is...very easy to do. Fire has it's own will, as I'm sure you can understand, in the poetic sense anyway. Let it free and loose and it will destroy all it can. It's not too hard to let a toddler run amok and create chaos after all, specially when chaos, or destruction, is what you want. However...to force fire to not destroy, but only produce a useful outcome takes a far firmer hand and more control then most people possess." Kannan finished by gesturing towards Melantha, as if she herself was proving his point simply by the amount of concentration she was investing in cooking the meat, and not burning it. "I'm afraid though the temple is no longer in my control, and I couldn't be more pleased about it...it gives me far more free time to spend with you." Ah he could not resist it! A soft purr entering his voice as he leaned over the table a little, his trio of tails twirling upon each other as he gave her more then a meaningful grin. Final_Crucible Pulling her hand away from the flame, she lifted the ball a bit out of the air as a rich scent filled the room of cooked meat, though that was in the back of her mind as she slowly caught onto the noise that was now the sound of him purring. Eyes starring right at him, she swallowed slowly before a steady smile crept across her features, and she let the fire die in her hand. The flames gone, she still felt a slight heat that rose to her cheeks though it was soon unnoticable as she watched him and his tails. Softly, her voice came out to echo his purr as she moved to glance to his eyes, "I am glad that we are able to spend more time, weather it is training or just relaxing in eachothers company..." She said the second one a lot more meaningful than the first, keying in on the fact she still had something to say and would rather it be said in his arms than across from him. Letting it slide, she glanced to the meat and mumbled to herself, "...looks done..." before breaking into a bright smile. Lord Changeling If Kannan was surprised by her own subtle advances he showed no sign of it. Of course, his smile didn't break either. Sliding around the table a bit so that he could come and stand side by side with Melantha, he pushed the plateware he had gathered down the table in front of them, and easily reached out with a fork and knife to spear the roast and begin sliceing it up. "Only one way to find out if it is though. Mmm..." He hummed softly with a small sniff towards the meat. Purposefully cocking his head to the side to look over at her, he growled softly. "Delightful...." Final_Crucible She looked to him and blushed to herself her eyes looking towards her plate as her hands moved to grasp a fork and to steadily lift it to her mouth, taking a moment to taste the meat as the warmth flooded her senses. She had nothing to compaire it to, so she took his word on it and smiled, moving closer as she took his arm. "See, it wont be too bad fending for ourselves until the lands connect..." She said slowly, looking up to him with that same smile as she figured what she had to ask could wait. Kannan seemed to want to spend time with her now, and she decided she could pester him about her changing when he made the attempts, she would have fun with it anyways. Her hand still on his arm, she pulled it away and moved to brush against him softly as she reached for some more to place on her plate. Lord Changeling Despite his claim of being hungry, Kannan ate very little of the meat. Nibblig upon it in small bites, he spent most of the meal staring rather intently at Melantha. Her small brush's against him gained her no immediat response...but as the end of the meal approched, Kanna's lips curled into a slightly lopsided grin. He waited till she had put her fork down for a moment, before he launched himself at her in a flat out tackle. Still grinning with a small flicker of impishness in his eyes, Kannan attempted to pounce Mel to the ground. A rumbling purr in his throat at his playful little bounce. Final_Crucible Letting out a sharp 'eep' in sound, Mel hardly had time to catch her breath before the fork spun from her fingertips, her eyes widening slightly as she felt Kannan wrap his arms around her in a quick pounce. She was dimly reminded of his training and battling speed as she had no idea what hit her, the distance so close as they were right next to eachother. Falling back, she felt herself hit the ground as she playfully glared up towards him, "That was uncalled for..." She said in a soft whisper, her eyes landing on his as she gazed into the icy debths, her lips closing together and the blush crossing her features once more. Slowly, she smiled just as he did before it turned into a grin. Lord Changeling "Which is precisely why it was so much fun." Responded Kannan before he started to, with quite the loud rumble of a pur, rub his cheek against melantha's own. Wrapping her up in his arms in a tight embrace, he allowed a deep chested sigh to sound. With eyes closed, he took full advatage of the fact he was on top of her to nuzzle her to his hearts content. "It is good to have someone to hold." He murmured after a moment. Final_Crucible Mel blushed brightly as she felt him rub his cheek against her own, before she could feel herself being pulled closer to him in the embrase. Laughing to herself at his words, she moved her arms to brush them across his wings before finding them in his warm fur. Her cheek pulling away from his own, she moved to nuzzle into his neck as she listened to his purring. "It is good to be abel to be in someones arms..." She responded after a moment, speaking into his throat as she continued to softly nuzzle him, her face warm. Lord Changeling Kannan fell into silence after Melantha's reply. It was impossible for him to even begin to explain things to her, but since when did he ever care to explain anything at all? Once before he gave her a glimpse of his intentions, his desires, and she gave herself to him. While at the time that was all he wanted. A verbal confession or commitment...it was hard for him not to take all he desired of her right then and there. Terribly hard not to force upon her shoulders his possessive grip and not let go. Steps though...how often he reminded himself of how steps were needed or else she'd rebel or run off....and neither was a acceptable outcome! Growling softly to himself, he forced himself to be content with her nuzzeling and forced himself to be content with merely holding her. Well...maybe forced was too strong a word. The temptation to do anything else really wasn't all that strong. He was quite content just to hold her right now. "Melantha...have you thought anything at all about what you may do in the future?" Final_Crucible It was at that moment Mel seemed to still, and she pulled her face away to just let it sit against the floor under her. Closing her eyes for a moment, she let out a soft sigh before she pulled her hands tighter around him. His question of course caused her to still, her mind to wander and try to make a futile attempt in discovering the meaning behind it. Of course it seemed simple, he asked her what she wanted to do with her life in the future, but she felt a sort of undertone that made her pause in her response. In her mind, Kannan was a complex being, someone that had many layers and walls that hid his true self. He had traps and dead ends that caused one to grow confused and frustrated enough to just give up in wanting to find out who he was. Or so she thought. However, she had yet to give up, and slowly her efforts were coming out, but every so oftin he would shook out a question like this one, a question that had two meanings. Yes he was asking what she wanted to do with her life, but she could only assume the answer he wanted had to involve him, so she had to take her time to form the words needed. So slowly, her eyes opened to look right up at him, her eyes searching his as she smiled softly. With no idea how much time had passed since he asked the question, she steadily started to speak, her voice a soft whisper that could mimic the breeze if needed. "I have had a lot of ideas about what I want...they always change with how things go. Before I met you I thought about staying with my sisters and fighting the nightmares and trying to clense nowhere one land at a time...but than I ended up fighting my first battle against you...and the dream changed. We knew we needed to grow stronger, and so I figured my future would be spent training until one day I could battle you and win..." She laughed softly at that, her eyes looking to his still as she leaned her head back, "...Seems that fate had it we were meant to be with eachother, considering I was at your side once more and you were training me...training me so I could be strong enough to turn on you." She looked away and just whispered to herself, "Seems like ages ago where I had that idea in my head..." And she trailed off, taking a moment to think up her answer to what she thought about her future at the present time. Lord Changeling So quiet. She had fallen so quiet. Perfect. It meant she was thinking, and thinking was something Kannan liked to encourage in his companions. Honestly, if he wanted dumb and pretty he could have dumb and pretty very easily. What he wanted was brillant and gorgeous! Something that really was hard to find. Ah, he knew why though....brillance and gorgeous did not just happen. It had to be made. Cultivated like a prescious pearl!
Holding Melantha in his arms, he was quite acutely aware of every breath she took. The steady beat of her heart as it picked up, and calmed down, only to pick up again. Goodness indeed! What thoughts had he stirred a rockslide of in that pretty little head of her's! Should he muss them up a bit and start mnibbling on her ear? That would be amuseing..and she did have very lovely ears...
No...she had finally drawn a deeper breath, and he knew she was going to speak. It was best to save such tricks for when he didn't want to hear what she said, or truely needed to muddle her thoughts in the future.
"Mmmmm" He hummed softly as she would honestly tell him of her first plans. How sweet and adoreable. Trick him and then defeat him! So had the cuteness of a kitten! And about the same threat level when he thought more about that comparison. Chuckling deeply, he leaned forwards to give her cheek a small lick...and deigned not to give her any form of response on his own thoughts. Rather, he pushed himself up into a sitting postion. Straddling her as he brushed his fingers through his hair and murmured.
"Drat...my hair is all messed up now. I'm going to have to remember that being spontaneous often leads to mussy hair...." Final_Crucible Suddenly snapped out of her thoughts, she had been seeping and searching through them to try and decide what such ideas she had for the future at that moment. Sure she wanted power, power to protect thoes around her that she loved with all her soul, but that was a continuous effort she had since she had been born and blessed by the temple she fled from. However, strenght was something that could be easily obtained, and suddenly she felt that that wasnt her first goal to acheive in the future. As the silence went on, she moved on to more recent ideas, ideas of being changed in appearace and strength by the nightmare above her, and she felt the blush rise up. It was the beauty he wanted, and he wanted to make her be the perfect gem in his collection.
Sure it was foolish to think about it, but somehow she wanted it and didnt want it, and as she thought about it she got more confused. But that was something she finally put aside, and her thought once again hopped else where as her eyes followed Kannan's. She wanted to see her future with him, but she didnt know how to acheive it. Kannan told her he wanted it, but one step at a time was what she must do. To have a family with him, to have children that would grow up under his care, it brought a smile to her face, she could only just imagin what he would teach them.
Her eyes suddenly widening as the weight shifted about her and she felt a small lap on her cheek, and her blush grew as she watched Kannan move to sit, a grin growing on her features. Him sitting there, speaking of his hair showed her he thought she was done, so slowly her arms moved to push herself up slightly so she could still see his eyes.
"Kannan, have you given up on hearing my answer already?" She asked softly, her eyes locked on him. Lord Changeling Kannans fingers came to a halt above his head. Strands of his hair sifting and then hanging loosely as he paused his preening. His eyes, that looked so cold and so clear at the same time blinked at her, and it was with much effort that he managed to keep his features impassive. As if he had forgotten what it was they were talking about. But only for a moment...just a moment.
"Given up? My dear Melantha, you make it sound as if I was holding out hopes for a specific answer! No dear gem. I have not 'given up' on your answer. I was simply listening to it, to you, for what you had to say." Final_Crucible Mel watched him with a sudden surprise, her eyes glancing over his eyes, his features, his hair, and slowly she smiled. The smile she had, it was soft and petit, pure and relaxed as she just watched him as he spoke. Her arms relaxing, she leaned back and just lied there, her body relaxed and her gaze still locked on him. It was strange to her, seeing how he reacted as his hair was falling into his icy eyes. It all just calmed her, and suddenly it sunk in, the fact that she had his attention, and it made her slightly giddy inside, her hopes that she could keep it.
As she shifted, she attempted to move slightly so she could sit up, her arms moving to encircle his shoulders as she softly spoke out once more, "Kannan....I can only invision my future being with you, not training or talking and eating, but I see my future at your side. I see the idea of out dreams becoming a reality, creating them together and helping raise them. I want to spend my life at your side...and even if I dont become strong...or if I do...I will know it was all good effort..." She laughed to herself, a blush crossing her cheeks as her eyes looked down. Lord Changeling Kannan's eyes remained upon Melantha. Continueing to give her his undivided attention even as she slunk up against him and continued on with her little profession of inner desires. Ah, there we were. he knew that she was holding something back. Hmmm...maybe she was holding back a bit more. However...he had a fair idea of how to jostle any other loose thoughts rattleing around in her mind>
"Oh, well if that is the case then..."
Kannan oh so cheerfully replied...as he slipped a arm around Melantha's back in his usual easeing manner....
"The I suppose we should get to it!"
He exclaimed before swiftly jerking at her waist, so as to flip her up onto his shoulder. With a 'determined' twist, he started to march on off.
"Off we go to raise our own little minons! Nowhere beware! I think twenty or thirty should be a good start don't you Gem?" Final_Crucible Feeling her body suddenly jerked once again over the same familiar shoulder, Mel let out a sharp gasp as she felt the air spin around her. Not realizing he would take it so literally, she let out a groan and just let him carry her for awhile as she thought of how to talk him out of it. She knew he wouldn't let her go unless she talked him out of it, becuase she wasnt strong enough to work her way out of it. Confused suddenly at the fact he didnt want a strong female at his side, she snapped her tail across his face lightly to get his attention.
"Kannan, my darling, mind letting me walk for myself?" She asked softly, sweetly as her fingertips ran across his wings, her other one holding tight incase he suddenly dropped her. Her smile still across her features, she wouldnt mind raising 'little minons' but she suddenly realized nowhere, let alone their home, was not yet ready for twenty or thirty. ((To be continued))

dragonachu Siyoli layed down curled up. She had stayed awake the whole time her children had been asleep, watching and waiting for them to grow. She was completely exhausted after they had fully grown and was still catching up on her sleep. Siyoli licked her tail delicately. Final_Crucible Walking slowly into the room, Thor looked around with his sharp eyes as he tried to find someone he knew. Seeing no one except for a slumbering dream, he just walked towards the chair to sit near its base, keeping a look out as he sighed to himself. dragonachu Siyoli looked up lazily as she heard another Dream. She noticed Thor and all over she had a strange feeling, almost as if they knew each other very well, it was a very curious feeling that she hadnt felt before. Siyoli dragged herself up and sat cautiously watching the new Dream. Final_Crucible Looking towards the dream, Thor blinked before scowling lightly, feeling annoyed with the idea of someone watching him. Though the scowl wasnt one that was evil, it just was simply there until he shook his head, "Yes? Do you know me or something?" It was a soft question, and his tail swung back and forth as he looked at the elder dream. dragonachu Siyoli continued watching and tilted her head to one side "Know you? Maybe." She hardly had a straight answer to things. Walking a little closer to him she bagan talking again her brown tail swaying a little as she walked. "Well I feel like I know you yet weve never met. My name is Siyoli, what might yours be?" She sat down again. Final_Crucible He shifted as she came over, watching her with a silent gaze, "They call me Thor..." He said with a blink, his golden hair fluffing softly before he rolled his tail, letting out a yawn and arching his back a moment. ((TBC))

Dear Journal,
I met this strange dream the other day, she seemed to be somewhat like me, I felt this...bond, ya know. It was weird, but I guess maybe she might be a key to my creation. Final and Candle always say that I was not from this family, I was adopted, and they only wish they could show me my true parents. I also wish that, but in the end I am unsure, you know. It might not be all it is cracked up to be. I guess only time can tell.

Dear Journal,
I saw Atashi again, she seemed to be just like her childish self, though more down than before. I dont know if she is hiding it, or she just is only sad for a few seconds, but she still seems to act that way. I really wish she could find her special someone, it seems as if that is all she ever wants, but it is only an inch away. Always, and I want her to be happy about it when she does find that special someone...

~*~ Saved for Mania's amazing adventures ~*~ Day One As the sun seemed to rise into the sky for the first time, I found myself still in my whispy stage, my head and thoughts floating above me as my form seemed to shift away and back again. It was all a strange rush, and as I moved towards my mother, I could not help but take a few seconds to realize she wasnt as happy as she was when my sisters and I first appeared. She seemed to have more of a droop in her wings and her eyes looked so far off from where I could see. Even though I had no ability to hug her in any sort of way, of course I was going to try and confert my mother, I mean she is the one who dreamed me.
So as I floated I asked her what was wrong, and right away she looked up to me only for me to discover her eyes were filled with tears. She explained that her sister had been gone for weeks, she dissapeared with the lair lord that defeated them. She didnt know why Melantha left, but I knew it had to be something more than kidnapping, becuase from the tales I heard Melantha wasnt some push over, she was a fire blessed deejarne! I dont know what to think, but I am sure since I look like these nightmares already, that when I get older I should be able to sneak into their territory and help my aunt.
I cant wait, well, maybe next time I will be a little older to decide just how to make my mother happy. Day two I found myself in a new form, it was one that was bigger, I had my whole form and I could walk and talk. My body was gray, and I had three red tails, as well as my wings were purple. I feel so much different than others though, but mother says I am just special, and soon enough I will meet others like me...like the one that my aunty is with.
I decided today I was going to find my aunt, and so I smiled and went to nowhere...my mom has no idea, but I will write down everything, just for her. I walked into Crimflow first...I went to the temple...maybe she will have a trail from there...
