whee
I'll try to.
It's kinda hard for me right now because I'm trying to get a job, helping my bf with his car, and all that. Also, I've finally admitted to myself that I lost all my papers that I had all my work on (about twice as much as I have here). I wanted to find it because I couldn't remember everything, so now I'm basically starting over again with what I can remember from years ago when I wrote it all. sweatdrop
I'm definitely more tempted to work on it knowing someone else is paying attention. whee

First thing:
I hope you find a suitable job that you enjoy
Second thing:
I think helping out your bf makes you a sweet heart. heart
Third thing:
Sorry you lost you papers. Here's a bit of advice for next time you write the reconstructed stuff down: Keep them all in the same place.
Fourth thing:
Kudos to you for working on your conlang and posting it here!
mrgreen

Aww thanks for those first two points.
As for the third - I did try that. I had them beside my laptop in the computer room. Unfortunately, my sister's papers somehow engulfed mine and then my mom came along and did the unthinkable - she threw everything in the recycling.
She actually did this several times - but alas I must not have caught her the final time, and just when I finally figured out where to put them so that they were safe from her. sweatdrop
But it's okay, I recall not being happy with a few things and wishing I could change them - I guess my wish came true. whee

This is by far my favourite language. I'm so gonna learn it. Not now, 'cuz I'm busy with school stuff (yeah, I know, summer break, but I'm a geek, okay? smile ), but when autumn arrives, I will certainly learn it. 3nodding

But there are so many more conlangs that are much further along...

Yeah... No. To me, you are doing best so far, with the exception of Niora. The others are like "Uh, here, learn how to conjugate some verbs..." and some have only got the pronounciation up. Myself included, but I've given up on it. It wasn't as fun as I thought. I'm more of the type who wants to learn the conlangs of other people, and right now, yours is the one I'd like to learn. Etiktik is kinda cute, it feels like it comes directly from your heart.
Keep up the good job! biggrin It really is a great language.

Not necessarily the heart. More like it's a combination of middle of the night half awake ramblings and looking at something and going through series of sounds until something arises that sounds like it fits (for example - plit (white) - I stared at a blank piece of paper until 'plit' came to mind, then as a test I looked at something pink, which would be plit-ik, and it seemed to fit as well, so the word stayed)

A fair bit?
I started working on this 10 years ago.
Albeit... I definetly abandoned it for numerous years and only picked it back up two years ago.
I don't full out work on stuff, I like to give things room to breath so that I get a better outcome than a rushed version.

I knew someone would comment on that.
That was back in grade seven, where all I basically did was create my name as I've posted. Then there was a huge gap of abandonment until about two or three years ago when I started working more on the written form (which I've lost all of those papers)
Then when this guild popped up I realized I couldn't communicate my language to others very well without it having an oral aspect to it, so I started concentrating more on that aspect and basically abandoned the written language.
I'm still mentally creating rules and things for the written, but it's all empty promises because I won't sit down and create the symbols.

Me too actually.
I haven't really been in the mood to sit down and create... anything.
I have too many things going on, yet nothing at all.
Most of my words and symbols are created when I'm concentrating on something completely different and start mumbling to myself or doodling.
It's probably quite a spectacle to observe, as I am usually baffled by my doings - especially when my gibberish/doodles actually start making sense to me.
Like the one time I was doodling INSIDE my notes in one of my courses. I don't know where the notes went, but half of what was supposed to be written English was just random squiggles. I'm sure if I found it I could still make sense of it though.
