My favorite adventure is the Dying Detective, my favourite Holmes is definitely Jeremy Brett, and I love Lestrade with all my heart. The Granada actor looks like a weasel, but he's a hoot.

Lestrade SHOULD look like a weasel. He was described as looking rather rodent-like in one of the books...although I think he must've filled out a bit over the years, as he was bulldog-like in Hound, I believe!

He had the tenacity of a bulldog, but the build of a weasel. I'm betting he'd be pretty dang easy to crush, then. blaugh

Favourite Adventure: The Sign of Four (Aw, Watson fell in lurve!) Favourite character (other than Holmes or Watson): Professor Moriarty Favourite Holmes: Mmm...Basil Rathbone. The original.
I just watcheed Gene Wilder's movie: 'Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother' yesterday. Hilarious. Anyone else seen it? Marty Feldman and his photographic sense of hearing was great.

Indeed. Yay for quotes:
Sgt. Sacker: Are you a Mister Sigerson Holmes?
Sigerson: Yes.
Sgt. Sacker: Do you have a brother named Sherlock?
Sigerson: No.
Sgt. Sacker: Oh. Er - do you have a brother?
Sigerson: Yes.
Sgt. Sacker: May I inquire as to his name?
-Pause-
Sigerson: SHEER LUCK.

xd That was a Mel Brooks, wasn't it? Mel Brooks is always beyond awesome. Young Frankenstein takes the cake, though.

Yesh, it was Mel Brooks. Genius, I tell you. Pure genius.
Robin Hood: Men in Tights is my second-favourite, though. Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother is my first. And then there's The Producers...(The old one with Gene Wilder and his famous apoplectic fits)

Dead and Loving It. It's a miracle they got Bela Lugosi for the part. I mean, they thought he was dead... eek

Well he is now, so... 's all good, right? Either that or he's still living in Maryland with Elvis and Churchill... (I love tabloids.)

Are you sure Mel brooks did SHYSB? I thought it was Gene Wilder himself doing it. I saw that years ago. I think the movie novelization is actually better & funnier--especially the opera--but it's very hard to find now!

There's a novelisation? I'm so getting it! At least, if I can find it... And I'm pretty sure it was Brooks. It sure does look like his style.

Well, you all know that the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse pull the Queen's carriage, and that little green men have landed in Kent - again. And that George W. Bush is actually a reincarnation of Charles Dickens. You all knew that, didn't you?
