"Why aren't you leading the way, Hiei-sama?" The question was sarcastic, but in a more teasing way. The red-head didn't appreciate the comment, but wasn't going to make an overly big deal of it. It wasn't like he had meant harm.
Kurama didn't see it necessary to tell him which way to go, since both could surely sense where the demon was. So he wouldn't move until the other boy did, just to be stubborn.

Hiei gave Kurama a look before rolling his eyes and continuing forward. Sometimes the kitsune was like a child. He moved at a slightly faster pace, apprehension welling inside his chest again. He did not appreciate what had happened. Someone was deliberately messing with the both of them, and Hiei didn't even take noogies from Yusuke lightly.

The fox sped up a bit, now walking right beside the half-koorime. He didn't think it'd be wise for them to separate, especially since they weren't in their own territory. There was a large possibility that the resident of this place had this all planned out.

Kasai's lips curled slightly in amusement. The two seemed to be... on edge. Why ever could /that/ be? Didn't they enjoy her luxurious mansion?
Deciding that now was as good a time as any, she let her energy fade completely, leaving no trace that she had ever been there. Oh yes, this would make things fun.
She leapt gracefully from her perch, her ebony hair flowing behind her like a cloak. She made her way from that room and through the halls in silence. Stealth was one thing she prided herself on; the demoness had practiced since she learned to walk.
For a while, she would watch the two in person, sort of stalking them. Then, when she felt the time right, she would make an appearance.

Hiei was about to make a sarcastic comment when he felt the spirit he'd been following suddenly disappear. He stopped walking and turned to Kurama sharply, as if somehow the fox would have an explanation.

Though Hiei said nothing, the question was understood. "I believe that ...this may be a trap. We /need/ to keep on our guard," he said, though it was something that really went without saying.

"Yes," Hiei said lowly, as if speaking normally would cause trouble. He kept walking forward, though, and kept at Kurama's side. A hand rested on the hilt of the katana. Perhaps the demon's plan was for them to get lost inside this ridiculous castle. Tch. Don't make more trouble for yourself.
((Argh, sorry for such small posts lately.))

((Oh, it's fine. The worst it could do is give me less to go with.))
"I think... well, no, I have a feeling that we shouldn't go any further. We do not have anything solid to follow, anymore," Kurama said quietly, voicing his worries.
The fox, as well, had begun thinking that the demon was trying to get them lost.
He pulled a seed from his hair, transfering energy into it as he did so, making it instantly transform into a rose. It didn't hurt to be prepared.

"And do what?" Hiei stopped once more, looking directly at the kitsune. "Sit here while my sister and your mother remain uncured?"
He looked around, eyes narrowed. Things were getting increasingly annoying for the youkai. The demon responsible had led them all this way and now decided to make them look.

"Good point, but wandering aimlessly isn't a good plan, either," the red-head replied, halting, as well, and meeting Hiei's gaze.
Things were getting confusing, even for him. If they pursued this demon, they might be walking further into a trap. If they didn't, the two women would be forced to live out life as a child again. Was it too much to ask for anything to have a simple answer?

"I would like to introduce myself... as your hostess," came a deep female voice, a sort of echo-like quality to it. "I must ask, are you enjoying yourselves?"
The psychic decided to make her presence known, seeming to phase through a wall, but it later appearing as a door. She loved to form illusions; it made one second guess themself, giving her a sense of power. And oh, did she /love/ power.
"I would also like to ask why you are here," Kasai continued, her eyes sparkling briefly. Why they were here, she knew all too well.

At the sound of the voice, Hiei immediately tensed and held on to his katana's hilt. He didn't bother responding to the pointless first question. He wasn't one to answer that kind of question anyway. He did not step back as the demon came through the wall, though in his expression there was a flicker of confusion at the illusion. He glanced at Kurama.

His composure did not falter at the unexpected entry.
The fact that a female was behind this was slightly surprising, but he didn't pay it much mind. And she was an illusionist? Well, that gave a clue to what she could do, were they to fight.
"I believe you know the answer to both of those questions," the red-head replied, not bothering with the customary introductions. He wasn't too fond of her, already, and they had just met. Though, even if she turned out to be the nicest person in the world, he would still not care for her.

Hiei had enough of this pointless stalling. Flicking his eyes upward, he offered a far from pleased expression.
"Quit playing," he spat, tightening his hold on his sword. He thought for a moment of all the damn fool things someone could've done to get Kurama and Hiei's attention... why turned their loved ones into children? It seemed almost demented; a raging joke.
"What do you want with us?" was his next daring hiss. He didn't care if this woman was responsible. He didn't see that as any reason to be polite.
