akemi_hoshi its not that bad. i prefer naruhina. For me, NaruHina's not bad, but I prefer NaruSaku. Eheh.

I like NaruSaku I belive that it has a good chance of happening, but it is my backup if my OTP (LeeSaku) Does not work out. I think Naruto's love for Sakura is cute and I belive that the pairing has gotten more showing to it since the timeskip.

Kay....I think that Sakura accepting, respecting, and caring about Naruto more is awesome. And it's good for her character development, in a way. But, as Reyairia has said in the NaruHina guild, one of the things that irks me about NaruSaku is that it implies that Sasuke has to not be there in order for Sakura to acknowledge Naruto. gonk
And, I think Naruto still having feelings for Sakura implies that he hasn't gone through much development in that field, that in a way he's still immature. I think that it will be great for Naruto's character development if he can be able to look past what's in front of him (Sakura) and acknowledge others to be just as precious and important.

"Naruto-baka...Sasuke-kun...Lee-san...I want to be like all of you." Proof, that even though Sasuke is in her life, she still admires and looks up to Naruto.
"If you hadn't been there to call out my name...I might have easily lost to Ino." She acklowledges him, and thanks him. He agrees with her. XD
"Naruto...You have always understood me." After Sasuke has left, Naruto makes the promise of a lifetime with Sakura. She realizes then that Naruto is one of the most important people in her life, and that she does love him, and that he was the one to really know her for who she was.
So no, Sasuke does not have to be gone to make Sakura realize him. The fact that he's always been there just took a while to get her.
Naruto's feelings have matured. At the beginning, his crush was because she was pretty. Episode three, you realize, as does he, that he likes Sakura for more than just looks - she also strives to be acklowledged, the first similarity between them.
Note that, even though Sakura was always scolding him, Naruto held out for her and helped her! Tell me that's immature and be serious, and I'll wonder if you're crazy. ._.
When Naruto saw that Sakura really, truly loved Sasuke, he did not give up on her, as people believe. He merely kepy himself away, and accepted her feelings, because he wanted the best. Already, you see that Naruto's feelings for Sakura are far from immature.
"Naruto's more sensitive then he lets on..." Tsunade says to herself after Sakura hugs Sasuke, relieved to see him back. The expression on Naruto's face is that of acceptance and sadness, but he wants the best for Sakura, thus, he holds himself back.
Naruto knows there are other precious people. Sasuke, Kakashi, Hinata, Neji, and the rest of his friends are all important to him - Sakura just so happens to be at the top, because she was the first he ever seemed to have saw.

I agree. You did make alot of good points. You did prove that Sakura was able to notice Naruto, even if Sasuke was still there, and that Naruto's feelings for Sakura aren't that immature. So, kudos. ^^ But I do still feel that if Sasuke was still around, Sakura wouldn't have been able to get as close to Naruto as she is now...
And I know that Naruto thinks that all of his other friends are important and that he treasures Sakura (and Sasuke) above all, but I think it would be cool for him to treasure someone who has always cared about him and has been there for him, even before Sakura and Sasuke. You know, to look past what he has now.

ISH MY OTP. =3
I just can't help but love how their relationship works. Naruto loves Sakura, yet unlike others, he isn't selfish. If Sasuke loves Sakura, he accepts that.
But wait! People say, 'So that means that he gave up on her!'
Wrong! ^.^
He accepted the fact that she loves Sasuke. But does that mean his feelings go away? He's being selfless; he's putting her happiness over his. So it shows that his crush for her isn't just...a crush. He does truely love her.
And there's the promise of a lifetime. Wow. That must have been when I was just a full-out Narusaku fan. It shows Naruto's selfless side, and his devotion to Sakura. But not only that, but it shows how Sakura's respect and her trust for his grows. She realizes that Naruto's always been there for her, and always has saved her.
But wait again! People might say, 'Well, Sakura's so mean to him! And she only started to be nice to him after Sasuke left!'
Nope. Let's go back to the beginning, episode 3. When she realizes that she's been rude to him, she understands his pain, to some extent. And for that, she tries to be nicer to him.
How about the Chuunin Exams? Sure, she still hasn't matured MUCH since the last moment, but still, she would've given up her chance of becoming a Chuunin for his dreams. That shows that she's acknowledged him and his dreams. Later in the Forest of Death, Naruto is one of the 3 who has influenced her to become a stronger kunoichi. And let's not forget the preliminary matches. She acknowledges that if it wasn't for him, she would've lost to Ino. Not to mention after Naruto defeats Neji, she comments on how much he's grown, and she envies him, and how she wants to be him.
So over all, even before Sasuke left, Sakrua was nice to Naruto. Nice enough. And after the timeskip, Sakura is now doing her part in saving Naruto from the Akatsuki, sharing and understanding his pain, and caring for him. Vwoot!
