Dyna heard the words from her dad and then knew that he had seen the lovely phoenix in the sky. She purred and bounced more, paws lifting as if trying to grab onto it. The pretty flying Nikko wasn't coming down though.. or was it. She really couldn't gauge just what it was doing the way it kept circling around. She turned and looked at her dad, hopping into his arms and purring softly, her fluff of a tail flicking back and forth.
Corrina could feel the pain calling her, and she moved, tracking the emotions of the one that it was coming from. Finally targeting the area she flew around in circles before makeing a graceful descent. Not able to see or hear, all she had was the emotions to target Trenzet, and she was doing a rather admerable job she guessed.

Trenzet was absolutely enthralled by the sight of the descending phoenix; it had to be one of the loveliest sights in all creation, that it did. Granted, he hadn't realized yet that it was a phoenix, just that it was in possession of an unearthly beauty. He held Dyna in his paws almost without realizing that she was there, although he scratched her behind the ears like he knew. Sometimes were beyond words...

Dyna too watched in relative silence as the phoenix landed in the grass, shifting a bit as if she wanted to go and inspect the other nikko, something that somehow she knew wasn't going to be welcome. Instead she shifted in her dad's arms, likely not something he was likeing too much since the younger nikko's motions were still preformed in a damp body that needed washing.
Corrina moved with a silent grace, her small form heading toward the source of the pain that she could feel. Something here had done damage to someone else, and it needed to be fixed. That was all she knew. She padded toward the hurt one, not hearing or seeing who it was before she stopped. She then just lay her head down on his leg, humming without words.

Like a nikko in a trance, Trenzet watched the motions of the phoenix, for phoenix now he knew it was. Yet she wasn't like the other phoenixes he knew...they were firey and blazing, fire elementals with the added traits of the phoenix. This one...this tiny female...she seemed so ethereal, so...detached from everything else. A pleasant sensation washed over him at her touch, and he closed his eyes to savour it, not realizing that what he was feeling was primarily the absence of pain

The small pup could only watch as the phoenix hummed and did something to her daddy, not understanding the way that the elementals seemed to be able to heal. She seemed to just be a pretty girl who was leaning on her daddy. "Whatcha doing?" Dyna giggled and called down to the fire winged Nikko, shocked when she didn't get any kind of reply.
Corrina wasn't just detached from the world, she seemed to be distant from absolutely everything around. It was as though nothing seemed to phase her. Perhaps that was one of the good things about not being able to see or hear. One could be screaming or dying before her and she wouldn't know how urgent anything was. She would move at the speed the warnings inside of her dictated.

"Ssh, baby girl; let the phoenix do what she's doing, ok?" Trenzet smiled fondly at his daughter, giving her a nuzzle, but at the same time kept his rapt gaze focused on the little healer and what she was doing. The sudden arrival out of the blue, her intense focus on what she was doing...it all made everything seem so unreal to the nikko

Dyna's face scrunched up in a petulant gaze as she tried to figure out what was going on. Then it sunk in, this must be daddy's healer friend. She looked at her dad and smiled. "This is your friend Daddy?" Her small ears flicked as she tried again to get the healer's attention, and failed miserably. Hmf, how mean.
Corrina finished what she was doing. Her wings spreading as she leapt again to the air, her fragile seeming form glideing around the pair a few times before she found a good thremal and let it carry her higher, not even waiting to hear what the pair would have to say, not that she would have heard anyway.

"Well...no. This is a different healer...I don't know her, exactly." Gee, that was certainly clear, concise, and would make perfect sense to a kid. But then, Trenzet wasn't exactly sure what he should be explaining...or how to explain it. This was all so sudden, so unexpected...and fitting in with the theme was the sudden departure of the phoenix. "Wait! The least you could do is let me thank you!" He called after her, but with no avail; she was gone. He sighed softly, setting down Dyna on the ground and rising to his feet. "Well, you ready to go home and have a bath, kiddo? You sure look like you could use one!" He chuckled, noticing at the same time that his leg didn't hurt even remotely! Maybe this wouldn't be such a bad day, after all...

Dyna blinked and looked up, her head tipping to the side as she looked baffled. "Bye bye healer lady.." She called, hopping through the grass and following her dad at a distance. She blinked and looked up at the sky hopeing for another glance of the phoenix, but it was long gone. Still her daddy was better and that was a good thing, now she could go home and be cleaned. She smelled funny. Wrinkling her nose she let out a small mew.

"Yeah, I know...but I wasn't going to say anything." Trenzet wanted to laugh in amusement at the expression on Dyna's face; kitten-nikkos definitly had there moments of fun! "We'll draw you a nice warm bath when we get back home, though, and you'll be all nice and clean again. And maybe we can see if Mercedes will make cheese sandwiches; won't that be nice?" He smiled as he loped along, heading in the direction of their small house, where the two of them lived with Mercedes. Granted, cheese sandwiches were his favorite snack, but nothing wrong with reaping a few side benefits, right?

The small kitten nikko purred at the thought of cheese sandwiches. She giggled "Sammich.." She looked around as they made their way back to the lodge, and the closer they got the less she smiled and purred. It was as if she could feel something dark following them from a distance and it was makeing her feel scared and worried. She stopped and fluffed right up, her eyes darting around. "icky.."

"Yes, sammichs; and hopefully they won't be burned today. That'll be nice, won't it?" Trenzet grinned at the little one's enthusiasm, then paused, slowing to a stop as he noticed her frown. "Dyna, is something wrong?"

Dyna blinked a bit and she looked around, fluffing up a tiny bit as she tried to figure out what was wrong. Something just felt really funny and strange, but not good at all. She couldn't explain what it was though, it just made her kind of scared. She mewed and shifted, sniffing at the air, not noticeing the dark form in the bushes by the lodge.

Well, if there was one thing that the day's experiences had taught Trenzet, it was to pay attention to his daughter, particularly when she was agitated. So upon seeing her nervous behavior, the large male stopped walking entirely, looking down at her with slightly concerned eyes. "Dyna...do you smell something bad? Something scary?" Even as he spoke, he thought of that...creature that had tried...had tried... He couldn't even think of it! "It's not that man from earlier, is it?" He moved closer to the kitterfly as he spoke, wrapping a paw around her protectively. Just let that whatever it was try anything again!

Dyna blinked and shook her head. It wasn't the same evil one from before, it was a new darkness. The form that seemed to work its way out of the bushes was that of a blackrose Nikko, framed in darkness and looking really mad. She mewed and skittered back trying to hide behind her father and looking terrified. This nikko just didn't seem to know how to smile. Slinking away the blackrose sculked away from the door of the lodge.
