Merci made her way over to the kids and helped them both get up as quietly as she could. She leaned down and muttered in the barest of whispers in Kasai's ear "Tell Cinder she is going to have to make her way down the boxes.."
Fauve looked toward the noise and then up and Merci.. she glances at Kasai and then looked back toward snoring guard. She thought quickly to Kasai 'don't get mad at me...' She started forward more quickly then Merci could react. 'I'll change into one of those guys we saw before, maybe he'll think I'm there to relieve him and lead us where we need to go.'
Merci wanted to yell, instead she tried to reach out and grab Fauve. In the dim light she couldn't make out where she was, and she couldn't afford to create alot of noise trying to get her to stop.
Fauve's wrist ached, and she brought her good hand up to feel the necklace around her neck. It was a risk... a gamble... and she was terrified....

*Kasai's eyes get big* Fauve! *he called out to her but she didn't seem to notice. What if the guard tried to talk to her and she didn't respond...what if he noticed that she didn't smell horrible like the other pirates had. Looking around wildly he sees that Merci' looks as if she is going to chase after the girl, reaching out he grabs her arm.*
Cin! Fauve is going to try and impersonate one of the guards, Merci' says to get down here. And I don't know if you brought the rifle with you, but if you did we may need you to take him out at long range...if he comes after her. *Kasai peers through the darkness watching the guard to see what would happen when she woke him. Clenching his fist he decided that he would do whatever he had to if the man tried to hurt her.*
Kasai! What have I told you about killing. *sighing Cin grabbed part of a box she had found to slide down the pile on. She had tried to keep him from violence but it seemed that this planet wasn't going to let her keep him from it, she just didn't want him to have to live through the things she had*
But this will be for survival.
I am coming down, tell Merci'. *grabs onto the box and starts sliding down the piles.*
*Tugs on Merci's arm and points up to where Cin is sliding from.*

Fauve looked back over her shoulder and pulled her backpack down from over her shoulder. Merci had packed a poncho for her and she pulled it out and over her shoulders. She had to cover the glowing tattoo on her shoulder at least. Hopefully he wouldn't try to talk to her to much...
Merci felt Kasai's hand on her arm and she looked down at him. She didn't try to move forward but she slid her guns from their holsters. She didn't want Fauve to do this.. it was too dangerous...
Fauve reached up and rubbed the crystal that hung around her neck, She knew she wouldn't have long.. but she should only need enough time to get him to leave. She changed, where Fauve once was, the pirate known as Al stood now. She paused for a second and tried to remember how the man moved, she didn't see him for to long..... She shook her head and straightened up, shoring up her courage. She slunk over and kicked the sleeping guy hard in the leg and tried to look mean.
Merci kneeled down and trained her weapon on the guard... if something happened it would be a hard shot.. her charge was blocking him from the angle she was at. Merci was terrified and her heart was in her throat, all she could do was pray that he didn't wake up all the way and recognize that there was something wrong....

((I swear I made an answering post to this before...stupid Gaia prolly ate it!!!))
Cin slide down the pile of junk and landed with a soft thump, once she was on the ground she slide herself off of the cardboard clenching her teeth so she wouldn't cry out in pain. Cin crawls to Merci's side and whispers, "I will get out the rifle, if she isn't in the way I might be able to hit him with it more easily; it has a night scope. Kasai, tell Fauve if anything goes wrong with the man that she needs to throw herself back so we can get a clear shot at him."
Kasai watched Fauve closely shaking slightly, he didn't want anything to happen to her. Then he heard Cin talking to him nodding his head slightly he sent a message to Fauve, Fauve if he realizes it isn't another pirate you need to throw your body away from him, hit the ground. Cin and Merci' need to be able to get a clear shot at him...be careful.
Cin moved trying to get a better position with the rifle but couldn't get to her knees with the brace on. Grimacing in pain she lowered herself to the ground and whispered to Merci', "I can't get a good angle with my leg like this...you are going to have to make the shot. I would suggest using the rifle, it is a lazer rifle there is no kick back, you can turn on the night sight on here." Cin clicks a small button on the side of a scope on the rifle's top, leaving the rifle handed out to Merci' she falls back against the pile of rubble clenching her leg slightly.

Fauve heard Kasai just as the guards eyes flew open.. 'I...'
The guard looked up at her and squinted, shifting he mutters something under his breath and rolls over to get some more sleep..
Fauve blinks and growls mentally kicking him harder.. she didn't have alot of time and he needed to get up and head back to whatever camp they had...
The guard opened his eyes again rolling back to sit up "'ight.. I'z awake... damned mean thing to do Al.."
Fauve leaned forward and pushed him with her foot jerking her head back down the tunnel.. the opposite direction they had come.
The pirate scratched his head and then his chest, "oi? what are you doing out here? weird.." he shut his eyes for a second before opening them again, he looks more awake now.. "piss off ol Red he sticks you out here... good luck not getting eaten huh?" the Guard laughs... then trails off.. "Whats wrong.. cat got your tounge?"
Fauve grimaced and leaned down making a face and pointing down the tunnel where they had just come from.. she was hoping the guy wasn't a complete idiot...
he stared and his eyes wrinkled a little bit in thought.. "this taint right... somethings wrong here..."
Fauve grabbed him by the front of the shirt and pointed again.
The guard took a few seconds then looked... luckily Kasai, Merci and Cinder where hidden in the shadows.. he stared and then looked back at Fauve.. took almost a full two minutes of heart wrenching suspense before he blinked understanding "OOOHhhhh... your quiet so the rats dun find you here... good one.. good one.. aight.." he gets up and stretches.. "good luck without Greg here to watch yer hide" He slaps Fauve on the shoulder and sends her reeling into the wall.. she yelps mentally when her wrist slaps into the stone.
Merci croutched.. rifle ready to fire.. it actually looked like this hairbrained scheme was working... somehow....
Guard let out a loud guffaw before he started down a tunnel.. away from the group..

Cin let a sigh out, that had gone better then she imagined, wrestling herself to her feet. "We should get moving before he realizes that Al is at the camp as well as at the checkpoint."
Once the guard had left Kasai ran up to Fauve, Are you alright? Is your wrist ok. Kasai, tries to put his arms around Fauve not sure where her actual body was. As he put his hand on her shoulder he heard bootsteps from behind them. Cin someone is coming down the hallway.
"Merci' someone is coming", Cin starts toward the kids.

Fauve looks at Kasai and puts her arms around him for a moment, honestly relieved that she wasn't majorly hurt right now. Her wrist however did hurt like the dickens. The whimper in her mindvoice came through 'It hurts so bad...' She pulled away holding out her wrist to Kasai when she heard the sound of the boots coming down the tunnels. She still looked like Al, but she was sure she only had another 3 minutes before it faded.
Merci darts right past Cin, being faster on her feet due to having two noninjuried legs. She muttered as quietly as possible "I'll get um..."
Fauve turned and shoved Kasai back toward Merci and Cinder, out of the tunnel. She might be able to hold this up for a little bit longer... she turned to try and see who was approaching them... giving an attempt to protect the group.

Fauve be careful! Kasai screams mind to mind as he gets pushed away. Then he turns and runs toward Merci'.
Cin stands frozen watching everything play out in front of her, in the next moment however her mind takes notice of the space behind her. Something was trickling down her back she realized...and then she felt the pain, crying out she spins, wretching her hurt leg with her and sending a burning jolt up her leg. Eyes wide she sees a black figure behind her, it's muzzle and claws covered in blood - her blood. She realized this had to be one of the ROUS's, she had never seen an alive moving one up close. Glancing behind it she saw it was not alone, at least ten others were following it. "Rear attack guys!", Cin calls over her shoulder as she whips out her pistol, aiming she shoots the ROUS covered in her blood. She goes to aim again splitting the head of another open, but in the time it took her to shoot that one another had gotten to her and attached onto her wounded leg. Luckily, it was biting mostly brace pointing her arm down she let her stinger off; a piece of metal shots from it and attaches itself to the rats head sending a deadly shock of electricity through it. "Waste of a good stinger." Cin mutters.
Kasai starts running toward Cin, he can see blood dripping from her back and dark figures running down the hallway. As if in trance he stops at his bag grabbing the matches for the campfire. Striking a match he sends his thought out to the ROUS nearst to him and his guardian, the flame jumps from the match and expands starting the rat on fire. The creature then starts moving rapidly moving back the way it came, illuminating many others that were coming down the tunnel, it seemed that they were outnumbered at least 20 to 1. This looks bad...

Merci turned mid step and brought the rifle up Cinder had given to her... actually... it was an awesome weapon.. The trigger happy part of Merci squeeled at the chance to shoot something.. But her Daugher worried her..
Fauve turned toward the blasts.. and in the darkness some things were hard to make out, until flame. She saw them.. the ROUS... they were... big, dirty and very scary... she froze, the Rade didn't scare her so much, but these...
Merci saw them and her lip curled, Nasty little buggers.. but she'd heard that from Haisyn during their bath after the colony attack. She started firing at everything she could get a clear shot at, starting back toward Cinder and Kasai. They would have to do something to styme the flow of these suckers...
Fauve felt herself get pushed into a wall again, and a gruff voice from behind her muttered "damned rats.." The boots had belonged to the guard that had just left.. she saw him reach up and tweek a cord that hung on the wall. "dunno who them girlys are.. Al we're gonna have to take um to see Red..." Fauve blinked and looked down at herself.. then back up at the guard who was standing there watching the two guardians fight for their lives... She shut her eyes and tried to pull herself together.. she didn't want her disguise to drop yet...
Merci fought her way to stand next to Cinder... she didn't have time to talk.. or to even think at Fauve... they moved so fast, over each other, they didn't care. As long as Fauve was behind her, Merci could concentrate on protecting her. As long as she lived these things wouldn't put a hand on her charge.

"We have to get away from them, there are just too many and they are gaining too fast." Cin said this in gasping breaths as she shot into the crowd of ROUS. "What a time to have not brought the grenades..." she muttered.
Grabbing at another match Kasai goes to light it, before he can strike it however; a ROUS jumps on him making him fall to the ground.
Cin turns quickly ignoring the pain in her leg and shoots the ROUS off of Kasai, and then gritting her teeth she kicks it off of him. Then she starts shooting the others that are coming toward him as he lay on the ground.
Eyes wide Kasai gets up holding his shoulder slightly, the rat had bitten him. Angerily he grabs the matches again and this time it strikes true, glaring at the oncoming infestation he sends the flame to a rat in the center of the group, then concentrating slightly he makes the flame move outward to hit the ROUS's around the first. After a few moments seven rats started running all on fire.
Cin saw the rats start fire and then realized that this may not have been the best course of action as one started toward her and Merci' running blindly in it's pain. She took aim and dropped the rat before it could get to her as she did this; another jumped up and clawed her wrist. "Bastards," she mutters and cracks the offending rat in the head with the butt of her pistol. "I don't know how long we are going to be able to keep this positon." As she says this she can hear footsteps coming from behind her and the others, it sounded as if a small army was coming.

Fauve saw Kasai go to the ground and screamed 'Kasai!' She darted forward as her disguise melted away from around her, She couldn't hold it up anymore she was getting tired.
All Merci could think.. was cool... Who needed a flame thrower with Kasai around? She was still firing at anything getting romotely near her when Merci let out a surprised gasp as the flaming ROUS started running her way. She was about to jump back when she saw it jerk midstep and slump to the ground, still flaming.
Fauve barrelled over and skidded to a stop next to Kasai, she almost skidded right into the side of one of the horrid beasts. It turned and reached out for her eyes glowing from the blaze that was still consuming its breathren.
Merci saw Fauve out of the corner of her eye and turned leveling the rifle on the rat that was reaching for her. She fired and caught it right in the head. The rush of victory was cut short when she felt a tearing in her left side and arm. Her head snapped down and she used her good arm to start wailing on the rat gnawing on her side with the butt of the rifle.
Fauve let out a mental scream as the thing died right in front of her, she cowered back behind Kasai and started fumbling with her shoulder bag.. Her hands were shaking so badly that she couldn't get the flap to open on it.. There were explosives in this bag... 'I can't get it open... open open..' She tuned out everything but the bag... pressed up against Kasai's back... a dangerous thing to do when the ROUS are swarming up on you...
Merci finally managed to hit the blasted thing hard enough it crumped to the ground, but now she was severly injured. From behind her she heard the sound of footsteps... Backing off she glanced over her shoulder to see pirates... lots of them.. starting to pour out of the tunnel and into the beginning portion of the cavern they were currently in..
(It's the Pirate vs ROUS turf war! an all out cavern fight for bragging rights... lets get ready to rumble!)

Fauve stay behind me...the flames won't hurt me. Kasai looks back at the rats and concentrates grabbing a bit of fire from the body that Cin dropped he gathers it to him and creates a blockade between them and the oncoming horde.
Cin looks at the tunnel ceiling and the oncoming rats, "We need to collapse the tunnel and hope that it stops collapsing once we get beyond whatever is through that archway."
Fauve is working on explosives...I can set them off. Kasai watches the ROUS's fall under his fire attack and grins slightly, the edges of his mask upturn.
Cin keeps shooting the ROUS as they come toward her biting and scratching she stomps on those she can her leg threatening to buckle under her.

Behind them the boots come to a stop and several men spill out into the mouth of the tunnel. The guard stands gapping looking from Fauve to the real Al. "Something weird is going on here..." he mutters looking completely dazed by the whole thing. One of the men laugh watching the women and masques fight off the ROUS. Loosening his sword in it's scabbard he speaks, "Lets just see what these little ladys can do. Then we can swoop in and get 'em, they always do like a man that can protect them." His comment is met with ayes all around by the other pirates.

Fauve growled and ripped the bag open finally.. reaching inside she comes out with four sticks of explosives... her eyes turn up in a malicious grin.. 'I got it.... light me Kasai.....' She turned and stepped up beside him, eyeing the tunnel itself and quickly doing some calculations in her head. Come on.. she was related to Ashy.. knowing the ramifications of blowing something up kinda came with the territory...
Merci blinked when she heard Fauve and looked at Cinder "Cover the kids and fall back.." The pain in her side seemed to fade as her mind concentrated on the task in front of her.. there were just so many of them.. She started firing at the ones that seemed to be the most dangerous.. closest to herself and when she could, squeezing off a couple shots to help protect the kids.

Cinder's leg felt as if it was on fire, pulling herself back she started taking aim at the ROUS that were swarming toward the children. The rats seemed to be concentrating on the kids now, Kasai's fire was enraging them and making the rats beserk. Concentrating on the wave of rats coming toward the children she was able to clear an area in front of them.
Cin, keep them off of us for a moment. I am going to drop the flame shield and light Fauve's explosives.
"Explosives...right." Cin yelled over her shoulder to Merci', "Get ready to run...the kids are getting ready to blow this place!"
Concentration Kasai, pushes the flames away letting them disperse into the air, before the last bit is gone he calls back a small amount of flame to himself. Cupping it in his hand he turns to Fauve, his mask upturning in a grin, My Lady. Putting out his hand he leaves it in a position that Fauve can light her explosives from, Now it is up to you to show these pests that we are not ones to be triffled with. His eyes gleamed happily as he watched Fauve.
Glad to hear your flirting skills are doing so well, get ready to run fire boy.
I have calculated that if you set of explosives in this cavern, the results will be rather unstable.
"Thank you Mycroft...but that was the point!" Cin slaps her wrist turning Mycroft's voice function off still concentrating on killing the ROUS coming toward them.

Merci started falling back slowly... trying to watch the kids and the rats at once was difficult to say the least.. Suddenly Merci felt a woosh of air as something brushed her head, and heard a cry that she recognized as Inathe. She really didn't expect him to be back here, but he must have followed the pirates all the way through the maze and back to here..
Fauve saw Inathe screetch in, he skimmed over the top of the ROUS and caused a momentary distraction. She quickly put Fuse to Kasai's fire and watched it start to spark... 'Thank you Sir, I don't know what I would have done without you... INATHE! COME HERE!!!' She waited just a second and then turned, getting her body into it she threw the explosives, all four of them, and turned to run like there was no tomorrow.
Merci saw the sparks arch from where the kids were and didn't bother to wait around to see what happened.. she darted over to Cinder and grabbed her around the waist running as fast as she could, trying to help support her injured friend and get out of the blast radius..
Inathe wheeled midair and was faster in the air then the guardians or masks were on the ground, he flew right past his mother and perched above the Pirates, hissing and breathing hard.
