Harvested Sorrow Victim of reality Harvested Sorrow Kaasworstje Ooga Kaasworstje Ooga I don't really like either, so I can't choose. xp You said you don't like it, so you must know what Emo means.. tell me please ^^ I know emo is like, emotional, or that's what my friend tells me. confused lol, that's a weird comparison then..two total different things.. Emotional music and punk xp Must be something else I suppose! Emotional music and punk being much different? Oh bullshit! xp Punk is pretty much completely based off of emotion. It was anger that originally fueled the movement, and the music behind it, along with disgust, and sometimes depression, so yes, punk is a very emotive music as anger IS an emotion. xp generally when they talk about emo its depression anyway isn't it? yea you've got a point though, but not all punk thrives off anger, theres heaps of different sub genres of punk, hardcore punk definitely is based upon anger Punk, at it's very base, at the beginning was driven by anger and frustration, hardcore simply added to that...and ironically enough in the cases of some bands, took a drug-based movement into an ANTI-drug movement. I'm not speaking of the other sub-genre's, but either way, it's emotionally driven music. As for emo....I'm not too sure, as I'm ignorant of emo, however, based on what I've heard, yes, it's based on depression, loneliness, etc. punk has advanced so much over time... i haven't heard much old school stuff like the ramones and sex pistols but i imagine that they are soft compared to punk today... from what i've heard of dead kennedys they're pretty soft... the unseen go back a fair way and they're a lot more hardcore now... and as for emo i don't listen to it so i don't care about it... i guess you could call sparta and him soft core emo... with emo i guess it varies depending on the emotion they're trying to express

I chose punk, if only because I couldn't name a single emo song if you told me to. I think At The Drive-In is sort of emo. I do like "One Armed Scissor."
Then again, emo has those cool glasses... I have emo glasses...
