My PERSONAL opinion is SlipKnoT is Metal. I don't care what the Internet says. I don't care what MTV says. I just don't give a flying squirrel ********! I love SlipKnoT and by "God" I am going to listen to it, regardless. I don't care if some jack off labled SlipKnoT "Country" I would still love them. That's MY opinion.

annabell7 sh4dix666 i've always thought they were, but people tell me they are not, now my mind is in confution. please help me think. (i have a simaler thread in the off. koRn guild). i wish that the stupid people(and the people that piss me off) would just die Thay may or may be telling the truth, Slipknot is actualy Nu(No spelling error) Metal, because thay have a turn table and like 2 drummer people, maby. yeah. LIke other people said they are ******** aswome so it doen'st matter. I guess people say they aren't for they have more elemtns and differnt unquice sound. That's why i like them.

I wouldnt call Slipknot metal. But i do enjoy there material.
Although on the whole it doesnt really matter, unless someone ask for metal and people say Slipknot.

no o.f[offense (tardos)] but slipknot is labeled new metal cuz of some songs on their first albums had a sort of rap feel to it like the song Only One it starts out with him rapping or singing very fast at a high rate which is wy i guess people hav labeled it nu-metal personally i dont care when people tell me that they are satanists thats wat gets me off the handle im a fat dude and i could crush them but i dont cuz were at the high school and fights get taken seriously at skool in texas so i just let them go but im not the only slipknot fan theres like 30 or 40 other people who like them against their parents wishes we come from a small town but the 1s who do like slipkot dont hav a texas accent like me um our town is silsbee but anyways ive made my point
